My next stop is in Paris, France
2007-11-15 02:40:00
Aside from Italy, I also want to go to Paris, France. I am curious if it is really a romantic place like what I always seen in the movies. I want to experience the everyday life of an ordinary citizen in Paris therefore I might consider availing Paris bed and breakfast accommodation rather than hotel accommodation. The B&B Paris accommodation is usually the preferred choice of many tourists because hotels in Paris are expensive. The bed and breakfast accommodation in Paris might also give me a different memorable experience that I will cherish for a long time. ...

Early preparation for my Italy visit
2007-11-15 01:55:00
I want to visit Italy someday. I want to understand its history and culture. I want to visit Rome – Italy’s capital. I know that it’s too far away from me but I am confident that someday I will be able to visit this very beautiful country. This is possible if I will prepare and carefully plan my travel ahead of time. With the help of freereservation.com, I can get special promo hotel accommodations in Italy thus making me save money. I can also easily search for bed and breakfast, apartment, hotel, or country house accommodation that is within my budget. It is because freereservation.com classifies accommodation price per person into three: less than €40, €40 to €60, and more than €60.I want to visit the three beautiful cities in Italy – Rome, Florence, and Naples. I might also consider staying in Hotel Roma, Hotel Florence, and Hotel Naples because I saw the elegant photos and virtual tour pictures of these hotels at freeresrvation.com. If you think that my visit in It ...

Marian Rivera as Mari Mar!
2007-11-12 18:30:00
Last Saturday, my favorite news magazine show Kapuso Mo, Jesica Soho featured the Philippine no.1 soap opera “Mari Mar” (pinapanuod ko 'yan!) and the life behind Marian Rivera. It was mentioned that Marian grew up in Cavite and she graduated with a degree of Bachelor of Arts in Psychology in De La Salle University-Dasmariñas. With that, I want to share to you this interesting information that Marian wrote in the DLSU-D yearbook. “A face that could launch a thousand ships – that’s what most people has to say. But they tend to overlook the real Marian in me. There are lots of things inside me that I would want them to see, aside from being just a “pretty face”! I am not perfect, I know I’m not. With everything that I’ve been through, I may perhaps lose my confidence and self-esteem, but never would I lose my trust in Him.” – Marian, 2005 Marimar aawwwW!Batchmate! ...

In search for international love and romance
2007-11-11 17:14:00
Many of us want to have a date with other nationalities (breeding!) thus we often go to various free internet dating sites. Today, I estimated that there are more than a thousand online dating sites therefore there is high competition among sites. With that, I would label you “unwise” if you will still go to non-free dating sites. In my opinion, only sites that cater to the niche market such as dating sites for non-smokers, dating sites for lawyers, dating sites for people with HIV, etc. have the right to collect a membership fee. Remember that real love and romance shouldn’t be for sale. There are still 100% free dating sites like A Fine Romance .com that offers romanic online dating services. ...

Politician’s Milking Cow: The Malampaya Project
2007-11-10 12:47:00
The Malampaya Deep Water Gas-To-Power Project in Palawan is Philippines' largest foreign investment with an initial capital of $4.5 billion. Shell and Texaco both invested 45% in the project and the Philippines National Oil Company invested 10%. Over a period of 20 years, the Philippine government is expecting $10 billion revenue from the project. The Palawan should received $200 million per year as its natural wealth share in accordance to the local government code. However, prior to the 2004 presidential elections, the Arroyo administration only released P600 million to the province officials. The administration reasoned that the location of Malampaya project was already part of national seas and not anymore part of Palawan therefore 100% of revenue should go to the national government/ Arroyo administration. The Arroyo administration was desperate to have funds. Way back before, Mrs. Arroyo was already aware that the Malampaya project is within the territory of Palawan. ...

Securing for cash advancement or payday loans should be as easy as one, two, three. However, there are still companies that up to this time requires borrower to fill out and fax an application form. Buying insurance is now a piece of cake!
2007-11-08 16:53:00
Many of us are buying life insurance based on the popularity of the insurance product and insurance company. Aside from that, we are also considering the beauty, charm, and PR of the insurance financial executives. However, it is not enough just to listen to the marketing explanations of insurance agents and insurance financial executives. It is a must that we do our own product and company research! You need to list all the insurance companies in your area and check their reputations and financial status. You need to research about the minimum and maximum insurance coverage of each company. You need to have wide understanding of insurance terms such as whole life vs. term life insurance. You also need to do intensive research, and then compare the premium rates of various insurance companies in order to find the proper coverage at the best possible price. The research process will take a long time and it will not also guarantee that you can get the desired result that you need. ...

One of the oldest buildings in Makati
2007-11-07 15:03:00
This is where my former office is located. I have taken this picture before I lost my Sony camera. Nice outside but ? inside The ALPAP1 Building is located in Leviste Street, Salcedo Village, Makati City. In front of ALPAP1 is the Salcedo Park. It is one of the oldest buildings (Top 10 oldest building) in Makati Central Business District and owned by PAL pilots. According to my boss who is a former supervisor in Philippine Airlines, this building is built during the time that there is still an airport runway in Makati. Today, this runway is now the heart of Makati Central Busines District; there are now too many buildings built in the area. ...

Career Trend for Petroleum Engineering
2007-11-06 03:30:00
Petroleum engineering is the practical application of the basic and physical sciences of mathematics, geology, physics, and chemistry and all of the engineering sciences to the discovery, development, and production, and transportation of petroleum. The latest report in petroleum industry is that there would be a 30 to 40 percent shortage of technical and professional petroleum industry experts in the United States in the next 3 to 4 years. The petroleum people deficit worldwide is also expected to reach up to 15 percent in 2010. The current demand for Petroleum engineers especially in the United States is so high wherein newly graduates (Texas Tech University) will have a guaranteed salary of more than $100,000. However, there is a risk in Petroleum engineering. If the oil prices decline it would lead to massive layoffs. Petroleum Engineering in the Philippines The Palawan State University (PSU) is the only university in the Philippines that offers BS Petroleum en ...

Dr. Jose Antonio Socrates: Hero of Palawan
2007-11-03 19:06:00
The Province of Palawan Palawan is known as the Philippine last frontier. Life in our beautiful province remains slow and simple. Until this day, majority of the population cannot afford expensive products and services. It only means that people from remote areas in our province will not be able to afford expensive medical treatments. Luckily, there are international nongovernmental organizations that are always helping our province. British Palawan Trust The British Palawan Trust started when Mr Jose Antonio Socrates MD FRCS Ed, a registrar in Ipswich Hospital, announced that he wanted to set up a Trauma and Ortrapaedic Unit in Palawan. In 1990 the British Palawan Trust was formally set up. Its primary aim was to improve the medical care of the Palaweños (peoples of Palawan) with special emphasis on orthopaedics and trauma. The British Palawan Trust set up a locally registered nongovernmental organization (NGO) called Bahatala Inc. Bahatala is an acronym made up of t ...

Taking care of my Sony Camera is a big challenge
2007-11-02 13:29:00
The digital camera is tool that can make our blogging life colorful. I believe that it is a must for travel blogs and food review blogs, and even for personal blogs. It is best when we are sharing pictures to our readers that is why I purchased a digital camera last April 2007. I bought a brand new Sony DSC-W50 from my roommate for P13,000 (smuggled Sony DSC-W50 digital camera). It originally costs around P16,000 in malls during that time. “Para mas maging makulay ang blogging.” September 29, 2007. Saturday Night. I decided to visit my aunt in Cavite and had an overnight stay in their house because I haven’t been there for a long time (more than 6 months). My decision to stay in their house was like an Extra Extra Challenge to me. It is because I already had history of loosing valuable things in their house. Way back before, I lost money (often), cellphone, and even a CPU processor in their house. Even my mom and other relatives had same experiences. Septem ...

2007-11-02 01:33:00
Lollipops are not only for kids. There are also types of lollipops designed for adults but I am not sure if it is already available in the country. “Sweet” Do you like the concept of this double headed lollipop? Do you think there is a market for cotton buds type of lollipop in the Philippines? ...
