Have you ever noticed the women who sit their handbags on public toilet floors? I myself hang mine on the door. But they go from there to putting their handbags on the kitchen or dining room table at home or at someone’s house. It happens way to much. Possible 2008 Blog Party?

Last year, 5 Minutes for Mom had a blog party for all mom’s to participate in. The party was mainly for getting to know other mom bloggers, visiting all the “guests” and commenting to get comments back. So like…a giant site traffic splurge. Prizes were also given at the end the event, which was nifty. I’m wondering if they’ll be doing it again this year because it was awesome last year. I had lot’s of fun getting to see other blogs I’d never known about before. I even met some new friends. I really hope they have it again this year. It’ll be nifty to see how many new blogs show up!

That Awesome Moment of Silence

Every mom and/or dad needs that certain time of the day or night when there is nothing but silence and no one at your heels asking for whatever and doing whatever. Also known as Me Time. Well, for me, that time is when the boys (Mini Buff and the Hubby) are in bed…sleeping.
I don’t know what other mom’s do with this time. Some may use it to finish chores, get some cleaning done, or just bum around. I am the bum. I get into my sweats, putz around the house for a while, play some iRO, read, or just watch some television. I’m extremely lazy when night roles around. And I totally deserve this time for myself. Every mother and/or father does (if you’re a dad walking around the house till 4am every night). I work, I take my son to preschool, I pick him up. That might not sound like a big deal but I walk back and forth to his school. That’s four trips. Long walk! Then I make dinner for the boys (Mini Buff and Hubby). The New Mom Blog Network On The Block

I recently joined a new social media site called Mom Blog Network. I have to say that out of all the ones I have joined in the past, this one is my favorite. It’s “the world’s first Digg just for mom blogs and parenting related news.”
I think the feature I like most is that, as well as submitting posts manually, you can add your blog to their directory, which uses your sites feed, and your posts are automatically added to the database and visible for people to vote on. The more votes a post gets, the more chance it has to make it to the front page and increase blog traffic. It’s a very useful site if you think about it. And it’s main focus is mom’s and parenting, and everything about being a parent. I visit it daily because articles are updated in real time so you always have the newest stuff to read from so many sources. I’ve gotten some other people to join as well, and they enjoy it very much.
