Baby Showers
2007-08-28 10:07:39
We’ve all had baby showers for our not-yet-here children. I was six months pregnant when I had mine. Or was it seven? I don’t even remember. (This is why I like to keep a daily planner/diary on hand.) And I think everything I got then was either outgrown, spit-up on, or encountered some other horrible disaster that led to it’s demise. In other words, I’ve had to throw away about half of it. Or I’ve given it to the ever so lovely Good Will for one reason or another. But when that second or third bundle of joy comes along, do we get another shower, and receive even more stuff to dress and entertain our kids with? Or are we expected to keep all the stuff we got the first time. My mom says no, you don’t get another shower. Or at least she did at the time. The opinions of my in-laws do not count on this subject because they did nothing. They didn’t even come to the shower they were invited to. But other people may say yes, you do in fact get anothe ...
A little bit of lingerie
2007-08-28 09:50:58
You ever get the urge to buy sexy lingerie just for the hell of it? I’ve been tempted before. That was before I had my son though. I was a bit on the thinner side then. Back in high school as a matter of fact. But I was never one of those girls who would wear thongs and trashy lingerie to school then wear clothes too small or tight that all that would show. But now that I am married, it’s different. I mean, some of it is nice. But I go to like department stores to get my “underwear”. Places you would find granny panties at. At the moment, I could never find myself wearing anything sexy. Not even the erotic lingerie Big throws at me every time we go to Hot Topic, although I only find myself in there to buy Pikachu and Hello Kitty t-shirts. If I was a few years younger maybe, but not now. ...
Sunday Linkage - Week One
2007-08-26 19:29:21
Here is my link love for the week. (Almost) Each week I will try to share some linkage with you, the readers, that I find interesting or sharable. I got the idea from Mike, another awesome blogger. Say No to PR, Yes to Life - Dean came up with a meme/link train for those of us who aren’t dedicating our lives to getting our page ranks as high as we can before the update. Mutual Blog Reviews - Malin has offered the chance to have your blogs/sites reviewed and linked on her site in exchange for the same from you. I think this is an awesome way to get backlinks. 50+ Wordpress Plugins - I first found this posted on Mike’s blog. And I thought it was a cool blurb. This is a list of all kinds of cool plugins you can install into your WP installation to make it more then what it is and get it how you like it. This is my linkage for the week. Enjoy. They really are awesome posts. ...

Birthday #3 is Coming
2007-08-24 13:33:44
Mini Buff’s birthday is coming soon. Next month actually. And I had devised a rather clever plan of making the trip to my grandmothers in MA with my mom and Big. Then he could have his cousins and aunt’s and uncle’s at his party since they are all there anyway. It seems like the only gift I am able to give him this year. I did find a bed set at Target that I would like to get for him. He doesn’t fit under his current blanket unless he curls into a ball. So I think it’s something he could really use. I’m gonna talk to Big about getting it. It’ll be the only gift we can afford. But being with family should be the best gift he gets. ...
I’ve Been Marked
2007-08-24 12:02:19
Akismet has snagged me as spam. Makes me kinda mad because everytime I comment on a site while I’m stumbling, it gets thrown into the spam folder. So, could you please check your Akismet and de-mark me if I’m in there? ...
The 4 Books Battle - Battle One
2007-08-23 12:30:45
Malin at Infektia.Net has started The 4 Books Battle (and a blogroll to go with it). It’s a miniature way to review books that you have read. But only four a time. I’m here to do my first battle. Here are the four books I have read. Ironside: A Modern Tale of Faerie Rating: 4 out of 5 stars Kaye gets drunk and swears her undying love for her faerie boyfriend, Roiben. In doing so, she is sent on a quest to prove her love and encounters many things along the way. Will she be able to finish her quest or will she die trying? Yes, a little excentric on the review, but that’s honestly what it is all about. I loved the books preceding this one, but this one went a little slower and it was hard to keep interest in it. But I enjoyed it by the end. I just hope it isn’t the last book she writes. No One Cares What You Had for Lunch Rating: 4.5 out of 5 stars Tired of filling up your blog with boring posts? Take the next step and get inspired to create something unique. A ...

What’s your best memory?
2007-08-22 11:03:18
Kate, author and blogger at Babylune, is holding another group writing project. This time the theme is Vacations! This time, write a post about a family vacation that you have taken as a parent or as a child. What are your memories of the main event, your favorite parts, the successes, the advice for others, the fun factor and/or the mishaps? I think I already have a post to submit but I may need to write a different one. The reason being my intended one is kind of … crude. But if you have a memory of a certain family vacation to share, then by all means, submit it. The more the merrier! ...
A Walk to Remember
2007-08-21 20:15:11
October 6th will be your chance to raise money for the fight against Alzheimer’s Disease. What is this disease, you ask? Well, to put it shortly: Alzheimer’s disease (AD), also known simply as Alzheimer’s, is a neurodegenerative disease that, in its most common form, is found in people over age 65. Approximately 24 million people worldwide are living with Alzheimer’s. (more…) ...
Honey, I’m Home!
2007-08-19 19:09:11
The trip actually wasn’t too bad. Mini Buff didn’t listen all to well though. I fought with him the entire time asking him to stop throwing dirt and rocks and sticks (because I made the mistake of giving him a shovel), especially into the fire where the food was being cooked. The brother-in-law brought along his girlfriend and her brats. They aren’t very interesting people. They actually made me mad by encouraging my son to do what I had been telling him not to do. The entire time! He did have his ok moments though. He blew bubbles with his cousin (brother-in-law’s daughter), and with his aunt (husbands sister). It was a little chilly during the night though. I myself actually froze after having the blankets stolen repeatedly and being pushed off the mattress twice! And when we woke up this morning it was raining. All in all, it was a good trip. But I told Big Buff, next time we either get a baby-sitter, or I stay home. ...

2007-08-17 15:19:52
Tomarrow is Mini Buff’s first camping trip. I am interested to see how he’ll do. He doesn’t do well in public (no matter how hard I try to get him to behave), but out in the woods…this should be fun. ...
