Juno: Adorable and Heartbreaking
2008-01-11 08:56:50
My mom took me to see the movie Juno the other day. I had been wanting to see it since I heard it was coming out. And of course being a mother myself, and curious to see how they portray teen pregnancy in this movie, made me want to see it as well. But mostly because it looked cute and I like cute movies. I have to admit right now that this movie made me cry as well as laugh. (Yes, I’m a crybaby when it comes to sappy movies.) Deciding to give up your child for adoption is something I could personally never do and I admire the character, Juno (played by Ellen Page), for having the strength to carry through her decision. A lot of women, let alone teen mothers, can’t do that. I know it’s just a movie, but still. It happens in real life as well. And don’t say I gave it away because everyone knows that that is what the movie is about. The relationships between all the characters really made the movie what it was though. I was surprised that everyone was so close t ...
New Theme for a New Year
2008-01-07 17:47:45
And yea, it took long enough I know. There is still a lot that still needs to be done with it, including unfinished templates and some features that I have been thinking about, but for the most part, it’s finished. It’s been an idea I’ve been toying with for like, the last 2-3 months, and I changed it up about five million times. And things might change again depending on reader response. I don’t want to scare off my audience. So, we’ll see how it goes. If anything is broken, weird, or just plain old insane, let me know and I’ll try to fix it asap!! But definitely let me know what you think about what you see and what you would like to see or not see. ...
Outgrowing Allergies Instances Becoming Fewer
2008-01-05 02:29:09
Ok so the title sucks. But it’s 3:30am and I haven’t had enough caffeine to think straight. But when I saw this I found it interesting. According to the article, children used to outgrow allergies to milk and eggs. And it happened quite often. But lately, the instances are becoming few and far between. Earlier studies showed that at least 75 percent of kids outgrew it. Now it shows that only 20 percent have. Makes you wonder if it’s something in the products that is causing this to happen. I became allergic to milk recently. But my son shows no sign of being allergic to anything. My niece was allergic to apples and can have them with no problem now. So that just tells me that something is changing in the way that these things are made. That can be the only explanation. Either that or there is something in the atmosphere that could be doing it, but that’s a long shot. What are your thoughts? ...

Welcome to 2008!!
2008-01-01 02:08:25
Howdy! It’s the year 2008 and some say it’s a year for change. A lot happened last year. Some good, some bad. But I think I learned a lot from some of the things that happened. And I also become just a little more paranoid as well. But I think a lot of people have as well, so I know it’s not just me and some mental disease. I have resolved to do a lot of things this year. Including getting my mind set and straight on a few things as well as build up some kind of business that I can call my own and work on so I don’t have to go out into the real world. There are some nasty and scary people out there and I don’t feel like working face to face with them. Being employed at Shop Rite made me fear the work world just a little bit. But I think I can do it if I really set my mind to it. Also something I need to work on! So enjoy the new year and I hope all your resolutions and dreams work out for you! Welcome to 2008 baby!! ...

Possible Loss of Interest?
2007-12-19 00:49:42
I’m working now. And it’s a great job. I enjoy it very much. Which is probably why this site is no longer getting much love. But it’s ok. I’ll still write. And give you all something to read. But the site will remain cluttered and unfinished for a while longer. Not really that big a deal. But I’ll still be here. It’ll just be slow. Especially since iRO has recaptured my interest and I jump on after I finish my work day. But I promise I’ll get to all this A.S.A.P. ...

Some Nifty Handbags from Star 50 Bags
2007-12-13 13:04:35
Who knew that there was a line of handbags that had one bag for each of the 50 states. I find that very interesting and creative. I got the honor of receiving the New York bag, the hot pot (pictured). Each bag in the series is unique to each states geographical, historical and personality characteristics. It’s a very sturdy and durable little thing. It’s made out of leather, with red frills along the top seam. Very cute. The handles are made out of metal which guarantees it won’t come apart on you while your walking down the street. It’s great for people who love this kind bag. The ones you don’t carry on your shoulder I mean. I myself like the messenger bag or anything made out of canvas. Although the bag itself isn’t my cup of tea (I’m not a leather person), I knew of someone who would absolutely love it, and she’s been showing it off everywhere she can. I think it’s been causing some jealousy among her friends as well. But the ...
The Firetruck Goes VROOM!!
2007-12-11 12:39:44
Mini Buff loves his new dish set that I got him. It’s a Vehicle Sounds dish set made by Crocodile Creek. It has, of course, all the utensils your child would need to eat their meal, but what’s cool about them, and what my son loves about them, is that they have vehicles with the sounds they make printed on the dishes. Like the tractor bowl, and air plane cup. His favorite is the plate with the fire truck on it. Every night for dinner, all I hear is “Fur truh eat”, meaning he wants his fire truck plate. It’s to adorable. It also makes a great gift for a niece or nephew or any other toddler you might know. I definitely recommend this item to all parents. And it has been Mini Buff approved as well. ...

The Senseo Experience
2007-12-07 17:04:12
But it could just be me. I got my Senseo coffee machine the other day and my husband has been playing with it ever since. I had planned to give it to my mom for Christmas, but he just can’t get enough of it. And to tell the truth, I enjoy it much more then my old normal coffee pot. Because this new one is an espresso machine! How awesome is that? I’ve never had one. And now I do. So now I may just get another one for mom. We’re enjoying ours to much. What I like most about it is how easy it is to make the coffee. It comes with little pockets of coffee called pods. They contain pre-measured amounts of coffee in them, and when your done using them, all you have to do is throw them out. There’s no more need for messy filters or cleaning up spilled coffee grounds. And it can also make one or two cups of coffee at once. And if you’re a tea lover, Senseo also makes tea pods for the machine. It really is a very clean, very nifty machine to have for that morning ...
