Itching to Bake
2007-10-31 22:55:00
I've been planning to go back to baking once again. The last time I put something in our oven was around a month ago. Too long ago, I tell you!I guess the last straw for me was seeing a fellow blogger post about baking cream puffs like it was the easiest thing to do. I'm not just ready yet to delve my amateur hands into fine pastries. What I will do though is bake a simple bread pudding, which was also featured by the same blogger on her site. And while we're still on the subject of baking I just might whip up a little baked spaghetti tonight for dinner. Yum! :9 ...

It's in the cards
2007-10-31 18:47:00
Every business owner knows how important it is to socialize and network to increase his chances of making his business known in the world. Apart from a wonderful and pleasing personality, he can also try handing out a few Business cards here and there in social functions. That will surely make potential customers remember him more easily because those cards are physical reminders of their meeting. And what better way than to have them printed at vistaprint, where quality is at its best so you are sure that you'll be noticed. I used to print my own business cards at home but nothing beats having them done professionally. ...

November already?
2007-10-31 18:09:00
Gosh, October seemed to pass by in a breeze! It's November already and before you know it, it's December next. Where does the time go? All that opportunity grabbing sure did keep me very busy I hardly noticed how fast the days went. Anyway, since the Christmas season is fast approaching, J and I decided to buy our first ever Christmas tree at Big W last weekend. It's a six-foot synthetic pine tree and I am so excited to decorate it in the coming weeks. We're still undecided though as to what color scheme we'll follow. J wants it two-tone, while I'm more inclined to go with a monochromatic one. Any suggestions? ...

Most Wonderful Time of the Year
2007-10-30 00:29:00
As the song goes, "it's that most wonderful time of the year." Yes, before we know it, Christmas will soon be here. So, we better get a move on it and start some serious shopping. What's shopping without online coupons? Well, I can tell you it can be a bummer. Not being able to take advantage of big discounts can be very disappointing.Alright, I've somehow got an idea now of what to give J. Next on the list is our little girl. I'm thinking of using Babycenter coupons to avail of some Babycenter deals on high chairs for Erin. Maybe redeeming some Scholastic coupon codes to get great Scholastic deals on books and toys would also be a nice idea. Well, whatever thing I decide later on, I'm sure Erin will just love it. ...

Top Earner!
2007-10-30 00:11:00
For once, I am featured as one of PPP's top daily earner! I know this is only temporary because as soon as the big posties start coming in, I can instantly say goodbye to that spot.I managed to save a screenshot of it for posterity. It may be a once-in-a-lifetime thing so might as well take a photo of it for evidence. Little joys! Haha! :) ...

Getting Insured
2007-10-30 00:00:00
Our good friend E, who also happens to be one of Erin's godmother at baptism, runs the local Asian grocery store with her husband in Fyshwick. It was originally owned by another Filipino, but was mismanaged and on the brink of bankruptcy so the former owner had no choice but to sell it. Fortunately, E and her husband managed to turn it around and now it is thriving well.We knew their business was doing good because they were able to buy a brand-new van, which they use in transporting their store's merchandise. I reckon they already got it insured but just in case they haven't yet, I could recommend Cheap Van Insurance to them. I'm sure they can find the perfect policy to fit their needs. ...

Flooding Opps
2007-10-29 23:05:00
Ever since my pagerank went up, the opportunities just came flooding in! I am beyond myself because I don't know which ones to take or write about. Not to mention that I also have to tend to Erin in between posts.Did you notice? I think a couple of days ago I was just pointing out that I'd already written 70 articles on this blog. Well, lo and behold, it's now up to 85 or so for just this month alone. It's that frantic and insane, but I'm loving all of it! :) ...

Thinking of Home
2007-10-29 19:46:00
One day, we shall own a house. That is our goal within the next few years. As I am a full-time mommy with Erin, I cannot join yet the workforce in order for us to be able to get a loan so we can purchase a house of our own. Secured Home Loans is definitely going to be a consideration once we are financially ready to apply for a loan. With the high prices of houses in the market today, we cannot afford to pay for one in full. Getting a loan is a big help and we can just pay it off in installments that we are more likely to do. ...

Beyond Excitement
2007-10-29 19:38:00
I just checked our vacation ticker and found out that we have just 7 months left before our holiday to the Philippines commences. Wow! The last time I checked it was 9 months still. Has it only been two months? I thought it was more!I guess I am just too excited about this trip. I reckon J is too. We are so looking forward to that much needed break. Taking care of Erin combined with household chores can be so overwhelming at times. We need to re-energize! Manila here we come! :) ...

Hopeless Romantic
2007-10-29 19:19:00
Not many people know this but I am a self-confessed hopeless romantic by heart. I have always loved getting flowers and love letters ever since I can remember. If my memory serves me right, I think one of the sweetest thing that J ever did was to read a love poem to me on one of our chats some years ago. It was a poem he had composed several years before we met. He had vowed to only present it to the woman that he was going to marry. I felt so touched and honored by this gesture because it showed just how serious he was about his intentions for me. Well, I'm glad I took that leap of faith with him. I have had no regrets whatsoever. ...

Still on Mega-posting
2007-10-29 18:38:00
I manage three different sites altogether. And believe me, it's no walk in the park, especially when there are loads of opportunities to grab. You have to be extra creative so you can deliver what is expected in the time allowed. Again, I am not complaining as I am grateful for everything. It's just that I sometimes feel pressured and often end up with nothing. Alright, enough whining. I'm off to work! :P ...

Money Wise
2007-10-28 19:18:00
Having your own house is a dream come true for most people. For some, it is the ultimate dream! But with prices of houses these days on the market skyrocketing, you can't just purchase a house outright anymore. Mortgages are just a way of getting around this dilemma. In this scheme, you can pay for real estate in installments over a specified period of time. The trick though with mortgages is finding one that offers low interest rates so you don't pay too much than the actual amount of the house itself. Also, you may want to pay as much as you can every time payment is due. The object is to pay for everything in the shortest amount of time possible. The sooner you can pay off your mortgage, the better. ...

Manila Ocean Park
2007-10-28 18:48:00
Well, what do you know? The Philippines will be opening its own oceanarium this coming December at the Rizal Park in Manila. Officials say it's a Php 1 billion project of Singaporean and Malaysian investors and it is going to be larger than the one in Sentosa Island in Singapore.I've been to Ocean Park in Hongkong many years ago and recently to the one in Sentosa in 2004 and from what I've seen, it really is breathtaking underneath the water. I'm sure it will just be the same with the one in Manila and it will be scenic attraction for many visitors, especially tourists.Related link: Finally, world-class marine park in Manila ...

Bedroom Talk
2007-10-28 18:24:00
Of all the rooms in the house, it is the bedroom that I love the most. I would invest in bedroom furniture in a heartbeat. As the rest of the house is going for the modern look, getting Contemporary Bedroom Furniture is just appropriate. In a few year's time, we would also need to look into kid bedroom furniture for Erin's room. I've been seeing a lot of child bedroom furniture on TV, catalogues and on the internet and I really can't wait to start redecorating our little girl's room. ...

2007-10-28 18:02:00
I'm a scaredy cat. Yes, I am. For one, I'm not a fan of horror movies. I don't see the point in calling it a form of entertainment when you scare yourself to death. :PAnyway, the reason I've brought this up is that Halloween is just right around the corner and you might want some chills to run up and down your spine while reading this article on the creepiest places in the world.
