Credit card solutions
2008-01-25 06:23:00
Remember I mentioned about my business plans in an earlier post? Well, if we do push through with our plan of setting up a store (online or not), we will surely accept credit cards as one of the payments that our future customers can choose when purchasing items from us.This, of course, poses the possible problems we might encounter when dealing with such transactions. I am sure though that there are ways to process credit card payments. We must be able to find Visa and Mastercard payment solutions so that we can get the payments that are due to us easily. The thing is, because we will be accepting credit card on our website, there might be a delay in claiming these payments. We might also need an internet credit card processor to make things simpler. It's a good thing there is Aplusmerchant who is offering ways to help merchants process such payments. ...
A First For Me
2008-01-19 00:38:00
It is the new year but we don't have a calendar in sight. Since we did not go home to the Philippines for the holidays, we were not able to get any custom printed calendars from my mom. I ordered instead for one where my brother-in-law was featured (blogged about him recently). I have never bought a calendar in my entire life until now. It's because they just give it for free in the Philippines. This is definitely a first for me. ...
Ideal "Bed" Weather
2008-01-19 00:33:00
It's been raining since yesterday and the weather reports say that this will continue until next week. Prior to this, it has been pretty hot and uncomfortable here at home, especially for the little girl. Now that it is cooler, everybody is so much happier. We can sleep better and go through our daily routines without having to complain about the temperature. It really makes for ideal "bed" weather. Sadly though, we don't have the luxury of time to just laze around in bed the entire day. ...
Wipe It Easy
2008-01-19 00:26:00
Speaking of the little girl, as everyone was feasting over the yummy food that was served during the party, she, too, had a taste of it when one of our friends served her with mashed potatoes from the casserole. As usual, she took it without any qualms. She has never been a picky eater, which is a blessing to us. But we cannot say the same for her neatness. She sometimes has this habit of picking the food in her mouth, and ends up being such a mess. I'm just glad we now have wipes which we can use to easily clean off her face, without having to use any water. It is so convenient and handy especially when you have little kids in your life. ...
Our Little Butterfly
2008-01-19 00:22:00
We just got home from a baby shower party. Gosh, it was almost a year ago when I was in A's place. We had so much fun with the party games and the food was overflowing, as usual. Our little girl was at her best too because she did not complain when she got passed around like a parcel. She even took a short nap in one of our friend's arms. She is truly becoming the social butterfly that we all hoped her to be. :) ...
Get Ready for V-Day!
2008-01-18 16:54:00
Oh dear, did you notice January is coming to an end already? That soon, eh? I haven't even gotten over my bills from all my Christmas shopping yet and here comes Valentine's day. Using those online shopping coupons are definitely a way to help keep costs down for this new season. I am still thinking though if I will get J anything for that day. Maybe I will check out first if there are any good Old Navy deals or Amazon coupons that I can grab. That is if I have the budget for it. :P ...
Feast 176
2008-01-18 16:45:00
Time for another feast once again. Better late than never. :)AppetizerWhat is your favorite beverage?Coke zero? I've got apple juice on my list too. Lately, I've been missing iced cafe mocha with whipped cream on top. Yum!SoupName 3 things that are on your computer desk at home or work.A pen, a pad of paper to write things on, and my mobile phone.SaladOn a scale of 1-10 (with 10 being highest), how honest do you think you are?I try to be honest as much as possible. Hehehe... Maybe I am an 8. :PMain CourseIf you could change the name of one city in the world, what would you rename it and why? This is a difficult one. It's not a city but it's a district here in the ACT -- Tuggeranong. I had a hard time pronouncing it the way they do it here when I just moved in. Maybe they should rename it to something simpler like Banks. :) Gosh, I really suck at this. :PDessertWhat stresses you out? What calms you down?I can't handle too many things at one time, and yet I try to multitask. I cannot ...
Things the little girl got
2008-01-16 15:28:00
I seemed to have forgotten to blog about what the little girl got for Christmas. With all the hustle and bustle during the holidays, I even forgot to take pictures of her opening her gifts. Anyway, most of them were clothes. A few friends and relatives of ours gave her toys as well. My sister-in-law gave her a piece of jewelry, like when they did during her baptism. It was not a gold bangle, but a silver one this time. The thing is too big for her right now so we are not letting her wear it just yet. I don't think she'll be wearing it very often either because she might just play with it and it might end up getting lost. ...
At Google's Mercy
2008-01-15 15:24:00
Oh boy, I guess my days of flooding opportunities are over. One of my worst fears have come true. My other blog's precious page rank of three has been reduced to a mere zero! Now, all of my blogs have no page ranks at all.I discovered it yesterday and confirmed it today at PPP. So that is why I haven't been able to get anything since the weekend. It is so unfair, don't you think? :(Have there been any recent changes in your pagerank? ...

It ain't over til it's over!
2008-01-12 01:25:00
Uh-oh, it looks like my 3-month-long visit to Manila will be shortened to just two months. The issue was brought up last night when J and I were discussing when to buy plane tickets and get reservations for a room at one of the Branson hotels for our overnight stay at Sydney. J says that he does not want to be away from the little girl for a whole month while he is back here in Oz and we are in Manila. I understand how much he (or we) have become very attached to her but I also need the break. The discussion is not yet over though. I will not give up and give in just that easily. ...
Feast 175
2008-01-12 01:01:00
AppetizerWhat is your middle name? Would you change any of your names if you could? If so, what would you like to be called? My middle name here in Oz is Mae. But in the Philippines, my middle name would have to be my maiden name, which is Decena. I've used 'Mae' countless of times because it's short and easy for other people to recall. I wouldn't change it for the world.SoupIf you were a fashion designer, which fabrics, colors, and styles would you probably use the most? This is tough because I generally go for the classics. I am not very much familiar with the names of certain fabrics, but I love to use soft and airy fabrics for those flowing types of dresses. It's summer here so I'd probably go with a halter neckline with a flowing skirt. I love the color of the sea so the dresses will be in different shades of blue and green.SaladWhat is your least favorite chore, and why?Cleaning the bathroom and toilet. In this household, that chore belongs to J. I honestly don't like gett ...

Over and Out
2008-01-11 15:57:00
Our (Christmas) tree still technically up. Well, it is up but without the decors and lights. I removed the ornaments last Wednesday and the lights were taken off last Thursday. I was supposed to take down the tree yesterday but laziness got the best of me so I have postponed the task to this weekend. Maybe J's presence is all I need to get me back on my feet and start taking the whole thing down. I reckon it's much easier putting everything back in their respective boxes than putting them up probably because removing the trinkets are a mindless task, while decorating takes a bit of creativity on your part too. Well, that's that. Until next December... ...

The Eyes Have It
2008-01-11 15:01:00
I am one of those fortunate people who do not have to wear prescription eyeglasses. Well, not at this point at least. However, when I was a teenager, I remember how much I wanted to wear one, maybe just to be stylish. In fact, at that time I think I may have thought my eyes were starting to blur a bit and I even managed to convince my mom to see an optometrist to see if all was ok. And yes, to my disappointment then, all was fine with both eyes.We are lucky now though because we do not need to get out to buy ourselves a pair of glasses at your neighborhood optical shop. These days, you can buy them now online. Here's a Great Discovery: www.ZenniOptical.com. For those who need to replace their glasses, ZenniOptical.com offers a wide variety of frames and lenses at low prices. Now, that is convenience for you! ...
