What's wrong with Paypal now?
2008-02-08 16:13:00
I've been waiting for a $300 deposit from Paypal since last Saturday and I've seen squat since. i was ready to send them a complaint today but a few minutes ago I received an email from them telling me there's a little technical issue they're trying to resolve at the moment causing the delay.Shucks! How big is that technical issue that may cause a week's delay? C'mon! Paypal is a leader in their industry and they should do better than this. This is the first time I've had trouble with Paypal since getting verified. Withdrawals, in fact, only took 3 business days rather than 5-7 days that they say is the normal duration.Anybody have the same problem? ...
Alternative To Call Centering
2008-02-01 11:52:00
It is widely known that the most in-demand and lucrative work in the Philippines for the past few years is working in call centers. The job offers are high and sometimes a good candidate would even have options in choosing one from several offers made. That's cool. However, we also find a lot of people falling by the sideways leaving their call center work because lets face it, this type f work is not for everybody. I'd have to agree that sometimes, the work gets boring without proper guidance. Here's something most of you probably don't know. If you have an little bit of I.T. back ground, if you're internet savvy-ness is well above average with a little background in programming, you might want to brush up on your basics because there's a more lucrative career for you outside of call centering.I've been chatting with a H.R. manager friend of mine and I found out from her that the most in-demand and highly paid work these days are Search Engine Marketing Professionals. She says t ...
The Trend Nobody Is Talking About
2008-01-27 08:48:00
Everybody is talking about the BPO bubble that has saved the Philippines economy and created jobs not only for Filipinos in Manila but also in the provinces. Eveybody's happy about recent expansions of established call centers and entries of new BPO companies in the Philippines. Recent developments, however, have made me think otherwise that this "BPO bubble" will soon be bursting and leave us knocked downed flat on our backs.Think about it, two big things have recently been developing which should get economists worried. First, the continued strengthening of the local currency Pesos against the U.S. dollar has made it very very hard for outsourcing companies to scrape out profits. Most of the time, some call center companies are just left breaking even. Not good if they've got loan payments to pay of course. Secondly, the impending recession on the U.S. economy may not have a direct effect on the outsourcing business here but as times get harder in the U.S., Americans will spend les ...

I know a lot of you call center employees are big billiards fans especially the guys. After a hard days work on the floor, often times teams go out for a night of leisure billiards to unwind, let some stress out and bond with each other. You'll probably get to play with high-skilled players from all over the world to hone your skills against billiard hustlers that match the playing-making skills of an Efren Bata Reyes or a Johnny Archer who knows. Custom Printing For Company Merchandise
2008-01-27 03:21:00
Big call centers in the Philippines usually have some cool item giveaways for employees every now and then. Usually distributed during holidays, Christmas parties and company anniversaries, these things are collectibles in their own respect. I've gotten some myself and for some reason I refuse to part with them. It is sort of like a memorabilia of days in the company and people I used to know back then. I've gotten hot beverage mugs, thin jackets, collared casual shirts, water bottles and printed t-shirts to name a few. I'm just a little nuts about these things. It must big business to be consigned to do things like these. I mean I know for a fact that there is a whole call center the strictly caters for this business. I also seriously thought about doing this type of business many times.Tshirt Printing is big business than most people can even consider. Most of us would consider this a cottage industry but these days with the advent of globalization and internet technology, some ent ...
Think Your Credit Card Is Safe On The Phone? Think Again.
2008-01-24 01:17:00
I once read that the easiest way to get somebody else's password is just to ask for it. Pretend you're somebody from a tech admin position or somebody with authority then ask people for their password because you'll need for some maintenance or something. It used to work but not anymore.Sadly, it is much like the same thing when one deals with credit cards over the phone. When customers call in to buy whatever on the phone talking to somebody else who (most probably) outside your country, they are giving out their "password" for their credit cards to people they don't know. In order to make a purchase over the phone, the customer must give out their full name, billing address, credit card number, expiration date and the all important Credit Card Verification number (CCV) or Credit Card Security code (CCS) depending on which credit card they are using. Those are the same information that are required to make an online purchase. The same information that can start a whole lot of trou ...
Net Audio Ads: Earn Without Any Clicks Needed
2008-01-24 01:01:00
People need to really read about this cool and easy way to earn money if they have a website. The deal sounds simple enough. I install a short code that plays ad audios that plays every time a person visits my blog. There's no need for a person to click any ads of any sorts to earn money. As long as I have the code installed correctly and the audio ad plays the way it should be, then I earn money! This could potentially be an endless source of income with little or no effort at all because as long as this blog is up and gets visitors, the earning will keep piling up! Now that's sweet! According to the confirmation email sent to me here what I can earn: 5% of what the advertiser spends on Net Audio Ads ads played on the website(s) of those I refer. 5% of what the advertiser spends on ads played on the website that my direct referrals bring on board.Right now, everything is set for their launch on February. The official start for earning through audio ads will be next month. But if you ...

Dot Me Domains Will Soon Be Selling!
2008-01-18 23:00:00
Most of you will have a difficult time understanding what I've recently been hooked up with. Yet I'll try my very best to explain it in the simplest way possible. In my most recent posts, I talked about Internet Domain Business and how lucrative this looks. A lot of people have made a fortune buying a valuable domain name at a very cheap price and sold it at ridiculously high prices because of the internet value of the domain. The more shorter, simple and straight-forward a domain name sounds, the more valuable it is on the domain market. For example, one domain currently on the auction block called www.Indian.com is selling for at least $200,000. It's certified appraised value is $250,000. Nobody has bought that yet. Compared to for example www.indianbpo.com, www.indian.com is more valuable because it is shorter, easier to remember, scopes a bigger market and more popular on the internet. The domain www.indianbpo.com has a free domain appraisal value of $4,000 to $6,000.Recently, I ...
Instant Messenger Emoticons are sweet!
2008-01-18 22:45:00
Back in the old days in the previous places I've worked at me and my colleague used to annoy each other with these cool things! Well, I should say I used to annoy them with emoticons! I never paid attention to those before I started using them but when I did I got hooked! There are just so many things and emotions you can express by just sending an emoticon. It saves you the effort of typing words instead. You can illicit a desired reaction from the other party depending on how annoying or fun you what to get. There's hardly any normal instant message user that doesn't use emoticons anymore. Of course you wouldn't want to send LMAO to your boss but sometimes you may want to send :) to him right?Today, I've found a cool source of this fun stuff at SweetIM. There could be a hundred of IM emoticons you can use once you've downloaded a small file to install these emoticons. You can use these emoticons in a lot of places. You can use them in the biggest IM platforms like Yahoo, MSN an ...
Wined and Dined Using My First Earnings!
2008-01-18 09:02:00
I took a small break from earning money online and blogging by enjoying the first sum of money I earned through blogging! LOL. A little portion of that roughly 20,000 pesos I withdrew from my Uninobank account via Paypal! I felt it was well deserved. I transfered the maximum allowable limit for Paypal withdrawals on January 13 afternoon and the money showed up on my account on January 16 evening. It took about three days for Paypal to transfer $500 to my Unionbank account and it was well worth the wait! We had a small fancy dinner at a classy restaurant and bought some groceries for the house. After that there was plenty more left! Geez... I don't know what else I can do with about 13,000 pesos left... Hmmm...Anyways, there was also more than $600 left in my Paypal account so I withdrew $500 again as soon as I saw that my Unionbank account reflected the initial transfer of 20,000 pesos. No point in leaving that much money in Paypal isn't it? By the first of February, I will have abou ...

Here's another great way to generate income from your blog with very little effort! If you haven't taken advantage of this great piece of income stream, then you're missing a lot. Net Audio Ads is a simple easy to use and easy to earn advertising campaign for big companies like Harley Davidson and Taco Bell to promote their campaigns through your blog by broadcasting a 5 second audio ad every time your blog gets a visitor. There's no need for visitors to click on your ads for you to earn income.A lot of webmasters and bloggers have worried about how the audio ads affect their website because of it set-up. The fact is it is not so much a big worry as waiting for your blog to load. The ad, like I said, only plays for 5 seconds once per visitor and does not repeat if the visitor moves on to a different page in your website. Your income will continue o flow as long as you have your blog active and as long as you get visitors. It will continue to pile up guaranteeing you almost endless ...
