Pornography and Sex
2007-07-18 09:12:00
What are the things that have been occupying your mind lately?Does it starts with P? Or ends with an X?Are you a porn addict?Or are you part of the group which has embraced it as a way of life and so am desperately defend that it is perfectly normal to watch them? And all you can think of during your spare time is: sex sex sex sex sex sex sex sexI don't believe in "I watch porn but my girlfriend's ok with it" crap. It's about what are the garbages you let your mind feast upon.Or rather, the fact that you have a secret life that you're not willing to let everyone know about. The million dollar question is:Do you want out?Pornography addiction, like any other addictions, is easy to latch on to but difficult to put down.If your answer to any of my questions above is yes, here's a great site for you:Setting Captives Free is a 60-days online Christian programme that will work with you daily through coursework. You're assigned to a personal mentor - who probably was an ex-addict.So, frien ...

Pengawas Interview
2007-07-06 05:18:00
I remember when I first entered Kluang High, my very first words with my friends were"Eh, keep quiet! After cannot become pengawas..!"Yeah, that was so dumb. Salah. My friends still laugh at me until now.Who wants to be pengawas anyway?Only Gary. Then there was the interview, conducted by this Mexican moustache garang Geography teacher (I guess STK-ians will know who I'm talking about) and a few others. The questions were ridiculous, to say the least:"So... tunjukkan cara seorang pengawas duduk"I sit lah. Without crossing legs or anything."Ala..macam pengantin je.."Thinking back, I think the interview was a way for the teachers to amuse themselves and escape from doing other more relevant duties: like EDUCATING the students."Ok.. sekarang saya nak awak tunjukkan cara jalan pengawas."HELLO! Prefects have their own walking style?! Like what? Models?I can imagine a World Prefects Union coming up with a guidebook on how to walk. First, your left leg must cross your right leg at 30 degrees. ...

A Day With the Kids
2007-07-02 12:09:00
One Saturday, my batchmates and I went to St. Jerome's to give tuition.I spent Friday night trying to re-learn PMR Maths. Ju-on kept me awake until 3 a.m. I can't help it if she's an addictive chat buddy.Next morning, 3 guys, 1 girl and a blur panda tried to hail a cab to get us there. After many failed attempts (PJ freaks out taxi drivers nowadays), we finally got one. That only leaves us with the problem of finding the place. With a hand-drawn map. What does that mean for me?Please refer to the post Road-blind previously."What's the meaning of myocardial infarction?!"That's Timothy pretending to teach the poor boy. Sigh.Haha, kidding. He was the most animated teacher in the whole room.Keat How is the seasoned veteran of us all, having been there many times. They decided that I need to pay them royalty for their shots.Kids nowadays are smart. The innocence of childhood. Hmm I wonder what this kid was thinking about..Oh.*Blushes*This is Caroline, my tutee.I was supposed to teach her ...

Davidson's on the floor.Netters on my bed.Ganong's half-open lying on the floor.Bedsheet half crumpled.Tilam stark-naked.Comforter in a Mt Kinabalu pile.Bolster in an antero-lateral direction.Notes sprawled on my desk.My Lumberjack face down on the parquet.A pile of yesterday's mags and empty bottle nearby.Mary's leaning on the wall. Her case half-zipped.I just got back from church and my room's in the messiest state in the last 1 year."Halo Gary!"2 of my batchmates suddenly popped by today, walked into the hall and to my room.My checked shirt's half buttoned.Habis. Image all gone.Oh why, today of all days?Tags: Messy room ...

Roadblind
2007-06-29 02:15:00
Besides being prone to language disasters, I'm also one who cannot learn roads. I'm road-blind.I traveled between Kajang to Bukit Jalil more than 8 times but still couldn't recognize the road. By the way, it's just highways.Ah Yap and I were trying to go to Damansara Utama from the KL-Seremban Highway. We used a map. We ended up in Putrajaya ( which was on the opposite end of the map).Having been in Sri Petaling for 2 years, I got lost traveling to the pasar malam thrice. Ivy and I got lost in the Commonwealth Park (Don't ask how.. we just somehow..). I brought my godsis in a big circle before bumming into Hotel Sri Petaling (She commented that it was quite far from my place. I just nodded my head).Having been to Midvalley more than 15 times, I got lost on the way twice, and still don't know how to get there by car.Teck Seng once said that 50% of the calls I make to him are for asking directions. He's a walking GPS by the way. Hmmm..Tags: Road blind, Directions ...

Cantonese Disasters and buying buffalos
2007-06-26 11:00:00
My friends say that my Cantonese is beyond half-a-bucket. In fact, I might as well just stick to speaking Mandarin. My parents and siblings are fluent in this dialect. Mum and Dad are both Cantonese and they communicate in Cantonese since I was young. However, I didn't inherit that part of the genes from them. The language centre in my brain has to translate my thoughts to Mandarin before to Cantonese. That means it takes me at least 10 seconds to speak anything in Mandarin. 30 seconds for complex sentences. When I speak to my grandmother, I even had to pause halfway to ask for a word in Cantonese to complete the sentence.Yeah, I can't express myself in Cantonese for peanuts. That, by the way, is a recipe for disasters. When I was 7 years old, I was sent on an errand to buy food:[ What I thought happened]Boss: Sai lou, nei oi mat? (Boy, what do you want)Me: Erm...Boss: Ni yao shen me (Mandarin for what do you want?)I was determined to answer back in CantoneseMe: Ngo oi... (I want..)Me: ...

Church is not always sunshine
2007-06-25 11:31:00
This post is dedicated to my non-Christian friends who often wonder about another side of church. Christianity is something down-to-earth. It allows space for mistake. We don't claim to be right all the time.First issue: Church of sinners People come to a church expecting to see angels on earth, where everyone is happy and joyous, and kind and unselfish. Although the church is supposed to be God's ambassadors, it is easy to forget that we're essentially a collection of sinners, in desperate need of grace and mercy from all walks of life. In fact, if we don't need grace, what are we doing in the church anyway? People in church sin. They are not perfect. It's good that we allow everyone some slack because they are changing little by little. The Bible did not say about total instant transformation. It's a slow, painful process. That's why in a church, we can grow spiritually . For example, we can't say that we have patience until we allow ourselves to be tested. And that h ...

Just chilling weekend
2007-06-24 07:53:00
Non-medical related and meaningful weekends, my favourite.Friday night, I slept at 3.30am, thanks to jian who is still in her ca-cheing mood (pray that she stops that). Got 4 hours of sleep and had to get up and rush out to PJ without breakfast.I taught a girl Form 4 maths and found out that actually I'm not as rusty as I thought I was. I can remember mathematics formulas which I didn't use for the pass 3 years. (Will post more pictures soon). Church service was great. Pastor Anba shared about being hard-working and his again amazing experiences with God. We prayed for the church and our pastors at the end of service. Saw Ashley blogging and was wondering where's her blog. Had dinner with the bunch of church members and had the weirdest food ever (garlic sauce chicken rice, anyone?). Drop dead on the bed when home.Woke up this morning, denied the sunlight, and crawled back into the comforter. But duty beckons and 1 hour later I was on my way to get some computer parts ...

2007-06-22 11:57:00

This year, the missing link has been found.Danny, the Lamb-dog!Finally there's a scientific proof that these two mammals have phylogenetic similarities!Canine chops anyone?Tags: Humour, Animals, Evolution jokes ...
