If it’s not Scottish, it’s crap.

I am not even going to pretend to even try to understand Jack White anymore:
Hello,
The White Stripes celebrated their aluminum anniversary on the 14th of July in Glace Bay, Nova Scotia. To further commemorate this occasion, the band have produced an array of specialty merchandise including traditional kilts, balmoral hats, kilt hose and flashes. These items are all hand-made from the Official Tartan of The White Stripes, available in both hunting and dress fabric.
Rob Jones also designed a beautiful poster for the Savoy Theatre performance. One hundred posters were printed on paper while another one hundred were printed on sheets of aluminum.
The band have lots of other new and exciting things on the way - be sure to visit the merch table when you come see them play!

So Interpol has been the first band to step up and come down to Orlando. Hard Rock Live Orlando, Orlando, FL on Tue, Sep 18, 2007 at 08:00 PM according to my Ticketmaster announcement. While I'm glad they've finally coming here (because why in hell wouldn't they? They know that Orlando is full of gothy-emos waiting with breath that is bated.) But, again, I ask you…why a Tuesday? This just proves that the music industry wants to feed into the younger, college aged audiences and forget the whole rest of the friggin' world. And why do these stupid college kids and their school loans get all the breaks? I may be temporarily out of work but I still have a credit card and a valid ID that makes me a much nicer candidate for selling tickets, CDs, t-shirts, beer, and the price to even get to Hard Rock and Universal alone.
Why not Thursday guys? Or maybe a Sunday? Thursdays you know you're looking to ...

I had seen The Hourly Radio when they were on tour with Shiny Toy Guns last month. Apparently they headlined a tour in the UK with *Stellastarr* in 2006. I find that odd since I had heard of *Stellastarr* at the club and on XM way before The Hourly Radio. I guess things are just different in the UK and the interest emphasis flips somewhere in mid-Atlantic transit.
I've watched the video on YouTube for "Deaf Ears" and I must say, I'm impressed not only with the "cuteness" of the guys in the band but the refeneces to pop culture in their music. Cute, smart, Southern boys with a band…can't go wrong there. I'm just laughing at the fact that they are mentioned on Miss Florida USA's website. I don't know how their review ended up on this e-zine but, hey, I guess good publicity comes from all places. Maybe someone sitting there designing their website has go ...

One More Cup Of Coffee

The following is my essay that I wrote in the wake of the latest White Stripes album release. It's a big, `ol draft that uses a metaphor that I don't know if I made work entirely but, oh well.
Bottom line: Jack was hot for a rich, British supermodel and he knocked her up and she trapped him into marring her. Now he feels bad for what he did to Meg. The End.
And they still don't have any concerts dates for Orlando scheduled, damn it.

“’Who would have thought’ needs a question mark at the end of it, doesn’t it? A lot of those symbols at the end of things bother me, actually I can’t be bothered. They make a symbol in sheet music when the writer wants you to keep playing till the cows come home, but I forget what it’s called. I like that idea though. Playing until someone ‘decides’ it’s time to stop based on ...

This is bullshit, and you know it: People's Hottest Bachelor's of 2007
After short consideration as to who I would put on my own list, I only agreed with "People" on one guy:
1. Jake Gyllenhaal
2. Jonathan Rhys Meyers
3. Henry Cavill
4. Orlando Bloom
5. Neil Hopkins
I'll update as I think of 6-10… ...

This is why me and Billy Corgan need to sit down and have a nice, long chat:In April 2006, the band officially announced that they were reuniting and recording a new album. Returning members Billy Corgan and Jimmy Chamberlin were joined by new additions Jeff Schroeder (guitar) (to replace James Iha) and Ginger Reyes (bass) (to replace D'arcy) in 2007 to tour behind their new release, Zeitgeist.
BILLY! You can't do that! If you're going to come back with "Smashing Pumpkins" you need to come back with the original members of Smashing Pumpkins. You tried this already by switching out D'arcy for that Melissa chick from Hole. You tried putting together a whole new band and called them Zwan. You tried a solo album. Either kick everyone's ass and give them lots and lots of money and make them come back with a damn, damn, damn hard rock, kick ass, I'm the fucking Zeus of guitar album, or just produce other people' ...
