Shayne Ward: Breathless

I was able to have Shayne Ward’s latest album a week after its release. It was just last week though when I got a chance to listen to it. As the music plays on my iTunes, I have no idea that the one singing was actually Shayne Ward. I really never thought it was him, that I mistakenly thought it was Daniel Bedingfield. The first track on the album entitled: “No U Hang Up” was a good start. Very nice lyrics and I must say bubbly track. Next track is the carrier single of the album “Breathless” – which after jumping from track 1 to 2 made me think if it’s Daniel Bedingfield that singing or just another rip-off singer. 10 tracks forward here comes a Justin Timberlake wannabe. “U Got Me So” has the same beat of Justin songs like Rock Your Body, Like I Love You and Love Stoned. On the other hand, I have his CD Lite Album “That’s My Goal” and comparing these two albums, his new album has improved. Its way better than the previous one, has mature songs, but then again ...

FAQ's About Dengue and Typhoid Fever

Last November 30, while I was on my way to Anilao, I made a short detour to the hospital to visit my nephew Ulrick who has been into the hospital for almost a week – missing exams, taekwondo sessions and training and most of all playing around with his schoolmates and being a big brother to younger brother – Tyrrel. He was confined because of typhoid fever, a very common disease of the season. Luckily, though its typhoid (Oops! I shouldn’t be thankful I guess that he has typhoid) we’re still thankful that it’s not dengue – yet another killer disease of the season. Ulrick probably got it from street food. He loves grilled pork liver, as much as his Dad and I do. Thanks to God that he’s negative from a series of test that were done and luckily after spending almost a week in the hospital, he was finally discharged. Naruto Shippuuden Episode 036-037: A Fake Smile

Last week, Naruto Shippuuden once again had their long-hour special, making last week episode a double-episode. Episode 036-037 entitled: "A Fake Smile" starts the journey of the newly-formed Team Kakashi as they head out for "Heaven and Earth Bridge" to meet an Akatsuki's spy who knows whereabouts of Orochimaru. As the episode moves forward, we see how Naruto and Sai had their personal differences. Before the episode ends, they've shown this guy heading on the same way Team Kakashi is. “Pa-Siyam”

“Pa-Siyam” or the “9-Day Novena” which is one of the tradition that I’ve grown up with, living in the province. “Pa-Siyam” is day where the family and relatives memorialize their loved ones which include a small feast, 9 days after their loved ones death. We celebrated my father’s “Pa-Siyam” last November 20. Yes it’s kinda awkward to celebrate, but most important thing is, its time to offer prayers for the departed soul. After the small feast, we headed to his graveyard, offered prayers, talk to him and bring some stuff like cigarette, his favorite choco drink, beer, food, candles and hotdog and banana which has been his favorite for the past few months before he left us. We also planted some plants beside his grave; my father by nature has a “green thumb” so that plant was to give him fresh air and somehow bring life to his grave.
