Though the OLPC project is a good idea it is marred with various problems. I discussed some of the issues in that post and also mentioned some alternatives. Recently I came across a press release by Microsoft that highlighted a new technology called Windows Multipoint. Though not necessarily an alternative to OLPC, Windows Multipoint sounds like an exciting and simple solution to the problem of insufficient computers in the classrooms of developing countries.
