Oh lordy, what a month. July is always just a beyotch at the office. I did manage to get everything out on time though which is a minor clouds parting, angel chorus miracle. But I have been so busy what with dealing with car issues and cat issues and kid issues that I have been slack on both posting and visiting. Mea Culpa! Oh vacations are tiring. Coming back and having to deal with Comcast...also tiring. Although I must say they are always on time and always very helpful. Obviously I am back. Be of good cheer, Starrlight is here!The plays were great. Our fellow audience members...interesting.Romeo and Juliet was first up. They actually played a good deal of the lines for laughs which is a rather fresh approach I thought. They did take some liberties with it ala the costumes. The older generation wore traditional Italian Renaissance clothing while the younger generation (Romeo, Juliet, Tybalt, Mercutio et all) were dressed in modern clothing. It worked. And I am a purist. The whole feel was a definite nod to the Baz Luhrmann version and had a few sly references to other versions including a tiny musical moment from Mercutio with the classic fight music from West Side Story. It Never Goes Away But It All Works Out

Talk about a hectic weekend. I worked both days and over 8 on each. Went up to Camas on Saturday as Miss H is back from Texas. Had Thai and hung out. Came home, got sucked into a movie Saturday night and stayed up too damn late. Yesterday I was in at 6am again and then had to get a new black top on my way home. Why the shopping you ask? Because I applied for a job on Thursday, got a call on Friday, and have an interview today. Oi. Dunno if I want it. Pretty well positive they would not be down with paying me what I would need to be payed to not lose money. 400-500 hours of overtime a year adds up. And since the position is supervisory I know damn well it will require more than 40 hours AND it is salaried. Me no like losing money so they would have to seriously cough up the dough. So did laundry and packed and watched a ton of movie last night. Got up at got in here today at 5:45. Interview is in my cafe at 12:15.
