The bike I am currently using was lost.I’m super sad because:Number 1: It’s not my bike. I borrowed it from my colleague-friend; Number 2: It’s not my friend’s bike. He borrowed it from his and my other colleague-friend;Number 3: It’s not our other colleague’s bike. It’s a company-owned bike;Number 4: The worst part is, it’s not OUR company but our other friend’s client’s company’s bike. Number 5: and I’m getting crazy because:Number 1: It might be impounded by the police because it’s illegal to park at the station during the weekdays.Number 2: It was really my fault because I was already told that it’s illegal to park there during weekdays. I was running late that day so I thought I can do it again (some previous random weekdays I got lucky). I am really stubborn. :((Number 3: The fine for an impounded bike is so expensive that you can buy another one.Number 4: I’M NOT REALLY SURE WHAT HAPPENED TO IT!!! Waaah!!!Number 5: It might be stolen because there ...
I *heart* Tokyo
2008-01-26 13:25:40
Despite my excitement for the Okinawan experience, I still found myself getting sentimental suddenly on my so sudden move to Okinawa. Probably early next month (which is kinda next week already), I will fly there for a new project. I have nothing against the transfer, in fact as what I have said in my first sentence, I’m thrilled to be there. Besides, I know that there’s nothing permanent in IT, you can be anywhere anytime. What I don’t know is the lifestyle in Okinawa, if it’s the same here in Tokyo. My colleagues told me that it’s really very nice to live there. It’s the city minus all the hustle and bustle that they don’t like here in Tokyo. The rush hour.. no it’s the “i don’t care” pushing in the trains during rush hour, the fast-paced walking, the traffic, the cold winter season (for some of them maybe but I love it since we don’t have it Pinas)... well that’s just some of the things they don’t like. While me, I can’t say anything unlikeable here in ...
Stalk NO MORE
2008-01-26 12:24:22
Ok I admit I did this online stalking some time ago. I was so thankful on friendster and face book and multiply and all the other internet stuffs popular on this generation because I can get all the information that I needed. And I say stalking is bad. It’s kinda creepy. As my friend tells me, only chaka (ugly) people stalks. And he says too, that I’m not one of them so I should avoid it (thanks papa!). I guess online stalking is not entirely bad coz it has its two kinds. Hehe this may sound foolish. You know, if you’re interested to some person, a stranger perhaps, in a good way. So you subscribe to his/her blog for updates or just message him/her. That’s GOOD stalking. But if you are interested to some person, not in a violent way, maybe just waiting for some information that he/she has broken up with that guy/girl you’re crushing to, or just look at your boyfriend’s/girlfriend’s ex’s site and check who’s the better-looking, well that’s BAD stalking. Of course yo ...
Next Stop: OKINAWA!
2008-01-24 09:28:18
This afternoon, EA told me that I’ll be expecting a surprise this month. And then I got excited and I told her, “really? i’m surprised now for that surprise!” I can’t wait. And then again she told me another one, “oh there’s another surprise coming for you.” And then I got excited even more. I was thinking “what is it what is it???” And then she added, “so now there’s two surprises in store for you”I asked her for some clue, she told me that my next project will be in OKINAWA! But that’s not the surprise yet, it’s just advance information. Come on! Excite me more! You know, if you want to be at the beach by summer, don’t expect that you’d see some good ones here in Tokyo. Coz there are really none as what I am aware of. Okinawa is like Boracay in Japan. Everybody would love to go there! Except that it’s more advanced than Bora I guess. I think of it as like Manila with the beautiful beaches around... and cleaner air of course. After all, it’s still J ...

And then along with my sim card “envelope”, I found these 3 small stick its. They may be small but they just made my day so big and so complete! :DWala lang! Namiss ko kayo hehehe! ...
My long lost SIM Card - FOUND! and it’s working!
2008-01-23 09:14:45
When I went here last year, I thought about not putting my number into roaming because of some love dramahs. After some time it was lost! And I felt so hopeless because I thought that it might be expired already. So I bought a new sim and went on with my life. But I guess it’s really not very easy for me to let go of that number. I don’t really change numbers because I don’t want to deal with the hassle of broadcasting it to everyone. Although it’s a simple task to do, I had that number for quite a long time and I really wanna stick with it.So I was hoping that I’d find it again. And after some time I did! IT was with me all the time! Stuck in my japan wallet. Oh dear! Good thing was that my colleague had a business trip at the Philippines for a week so I had my chance to get it back to roaming.SO NGAYON ETO PA RIN ANG GAGAMITIN KO! Text niyo ko ha! Uulitin ko lang yung announcement ko:SUPER DUPER ANNOUNCEMENT: My old SIM’s back! - +6392082XXXXX. I found my long lost SIM car ...

SNOW drops fallin on my head
2008-01-22 09:10:49
And I thought I already missed it.. Yesterday I had overtime work all night till 3 in the morning so I asked my boss if I could avail the incentive leave the next day, even if I received the reply at a later time, I still slept at my heart’s desire. And then when I woke up at 11 am, I got 2 SMS flashing at me. All with the same message: It’s snowing in Tokyo! That message was 8-9 in the morning, obviously I was still sleeping. Immediately I rushed to my balcony, opened the sliding door and despite the freaking cold, I took a look around. Snow no more. I saw the cars and the rooftops nearby, they have white snowdrops on them. But I missed it. For hours I just sat and so I was already blogging how sad I felt thinking that I miss the snow experience. When I attempted to take another picture of snow drops on the roof near to my dorm, and open my sliding doors to the balcony, there it was... the snow falling... I felt so excited! I did not waste time so I put layers and layers of clothin ...

Food. Songs. Friends.
2008-01-19 09:08:49
Maybe this is just the effect of having a very haggard week at work. Yesterday I had a blast meeting with colleagues, eating infinitely, singing and eating endlessly again. And then as I end the night with a chat with my new found girlfriends, I came into a realization. In the previous months I was convincing myself that I was OK but truthfully I was not. There’s a big difference between being real OK and “feeling” OK. I had gone through a lot but I felt that the sadness, misery and pain of lost love is finally nearing to an end. This is definitely not another convincing action. I know that some weakness still remains. So I don’t wanna assume too much. But I just feel that I’m getting through. Faith I suppose. Faith. This is so wonderful. ...
SINIGANG (for the very first tiiiiiime)
2008-01-11 09:06:35
I finally took the courage of cooking sinigang, with the help of the cooking girlfriend - sinigang mix.I thought it is very easy. Since I saw a friend at her fabulous home (my former pm) cook it in a very “easy” way. Just pour everything and wait to cook. And it turned out very delicious. And indeed the method she used was just like what was written in the Sinigang mix pack. So I followed the instructions in the Sinigang mix.1. Palambutin ang 1/2 kilong karne 2. Ibuhos ang laman ng pakete3. Ibuhos ang gulay at hayaang maluto I didn’t bother to buy vegetables coz I won’t eat them. So I never did #3. And I just prayed that it would taste good. I got no choice after all since I have to eat it for my lunch anyway, no matter what the outcome will be.So here’s my sinigang. It’s the lamest sinigang you’d ever find - no vegetables, just pure pork. How about comparing the picture above there...with this...?What a loser...But it’s very delicious! Well... Love your own! ...
Answer from Heaven?
2008-01-10 09:04:23
Money has always been a problem in my family. And being assigned here was like an answer to my prayers. I thought that earning dollars (in my case, yen) will always be helpful for my peeps back home. Because it means bigger income! But for half a year here, it has been tough, especially now that the peso is climbing UP... therefore, my yen is valuing down. Support is always not good enough. So I always think of things to “maximize” my savings (which I believe is still on the drain) or earn more. Budgeting is of course on top of my action items. Unfortunately, I have a really poor talent on handling my finances, though I improved a little. But still, I always feel it is never enough.Just this afternoon, on my long walk to our head office, I thought, maybe I should get a part time job. I thought about applying to a convenience store or starbucks or anywhere else. My train of thoughts was already on the run, and my mind again was beginning to mold pieces of imaginations of me wearing ...
The first WoRLd glory
2008-01-10 09:03:08
I can’t help but envy my Japanese colleagues for the perks they got to experience living in this wealthy country.Just this week, when I met with my project mates, we chatted about how we spent the holidays. Colleague #1 spent her winter holiday at Canada. And she showed me some pics. Colleague #2 spent his holiday in Milan, Italy, and gave us Milano chocolates for pasalubong (soshal). And then I heard that Colleague #3 will be going to Los Angeles sometime next week for vacation (and she is kinda requesting me to help her english).I couldn’t help but say “wooow” on how they spend their vacations. Are they really that rich to travel every year??? On our many conversations, colleague #1 has already been to New York - my all time dream city (next to Paris France), and also to some other countries. Yeah they probably are THAT rich - their income are probably so big that it makes them so rich.To think that ordinary pinoy employees like me would think that traveling abroad just for p ...
Start the YEAR again... the Japanese way
2008-01-07 09:00:21
This lunchtime, my Japanese colleagues asked me to go out for lunch and go to a temple to PRAY. We went to the Kawasaki-Keishi Temple, a very popular temple 2 trains and 12 minutes away from the office. It was very crowded, but my colleague tells me that it’s not that crowded today. Unlike the last year she went, it was really crowded that you can barely walk. When we arrived to the temple, there was some kinda “show” going on. There’s a ladder, and some guy would go up and do his awesome stunts. kewl! I thought, the pinoys can also do that. But I’ll stop being patriotic for a while since the spotlight’s focused on the Japanese People for now.I find it amazing how so many people go there and live up to their tradition. I think it’s part of their culture. People go to the temple every start of the year, throw some coins in the “wishing” wood (Forgive me, I really do not know how it was called, but for them, I think it’s sacred) It was like you’d throw coins there, ...
