I have small children, though and I know how excited they are to see what Santa has to offer up for them this year. We are looking forward to spending the holidays together. All I want for Christmas! 2007-12-03 20:29:00 I went Christmas shopping yesterday and I got quite a large bit of my Christmas shopping completed. We draw names for the adults at my mom's house as well as with Brien's family. It is quite fun that way because it is some what a secret as to who drew your name and it makes it a bit of a quest to find the perfect gift for that name that you drew. We buy for all of the kids. That is my favorite part. I've got the gifts at work ready to wrap. I hope that one day this week I'll have some down time and I can get them wrapped!I do still have a few names on my Christmas shopping list (and one birthday girl) who I have not bought for just yet. Christmas for my hunter! 2007-12-02 07:36:00 My husband loves to hunt. His favorite sport is deer hunting. He loves to turkey, squirrel, and coon hunt as well. Anything having to do with this sport is always a great gift idea for him. The hard part for me is that I don't know what he has and what he doesn't. He's mentioned a couple of times that he'd like to have a pair of binoculars with a digital camera. I've been doing a little research online and there's a place online that sells anything from sunglasses to rifle scopes, night vision, and those amazing digital binoculars! Something else I've noticed 2007-12-01 13:16:00 Blogger has changed the way in which you leave comments. Before you were able to leave a link and a name instead of using your blogger account. I liked to do this so people wouldn't have to go through my profile to click to my page. There are lots of people who have several pages, and sometimes you don't know which ones they're intending for you to visit. Now, that is not an option. I wonder if this has something to do with Google's Page Rank droppings? Technology 2007-12-01 12:54:00 Today at work we were talking about technology and how much things have advanced throughout the years. I work for a plumbing company as most of you know. I am a showroom consultant (and office manager) which means that I sell the "pretty stuff". I sell bath and kitchen fixtures such as tubs, toilets, faucets, accessories like mirrors, tissue holders, towel bars, etc. You wouldn't think of a home theater when you hear this sort of product would you? Well, my friends it HAS come to this. There are actually whirlpool tubs out there that offer stereo systems built in to the acrylic mold of your tub! How amazing is this? You can have it wired to work with your ipod, or your home theater system so while you're kicked back in your whirlpool tub you can relax to your favorite soothing sounds! Shelby's Birthday 2007-11-29 22:38:00 Shelby had a great day. She took cup cakes to school for her friends. Thankfully she has a wonderful Memaw and she baked 30 cupcakes for us, because heaven knows that I haven't the time.We took her and Tyler to McDonald's to play last night for a couple of hours. They enjoyed themselves. Shelby played with a friend from school while she was there. As always it was a power struggle to leave. Five minutes...then five more minutes, etc. It was hard to be too stern on her because it was her birthday. We got some ice cream to go and she and Tyler had ice cream when they got home.She opened the gift we saved for her last night. I got her a High School Musical card with stickers in it. I also got her some paper doll stickers. I remember how I loved those things when I was a little girl. They come with really cute outfits that you can take on and off (until the sticky wears off). Oscar the Weiner 2007-11-28 21:11:00 Oscar the wiener dog got a clean bill of health from the vet today. Well, almost. He does have a case of ear mites. I have to put drops in his ear twice a day for the next ten days. He weighed in at a whopping 4.5 pounds. He got a shot and he was a big boy. The vet laughed and said that the males are usually the biggest whiners when Oscar whimpered as the needle went in. I was quick to respond that male canines were not that different from their human counterparts. He graciously smiled and shook his head in agreement. I may have to invest in a headache treatment tonight the vet said sometimes shots can make them a bit sore and whimpery. He'll go back in three weeks for more preventative shots.
