This is what I woke up to this morning. We had stormy weather last night, which caused both children to become scared. As the alarm begin to scream at me that it was time to get up, I had just began to sleep well. Before I got out of bed, I was laying on this patch right near Tyler's little foot. Yup, that little half inch spot! *LOL* See Brien waaaaaaaaaaaay over there on the far side? Looks like the kiddos were comfy at least!I am completely exhausted!!! Tonight we got all of our Christmas shopping finished up and all (but one) gift is wrapped and ready for distribution! The kiddos are getting large battery operated vehicles. Shelby's getting a 4 wheeler and Tyler a Ford F150 Pick up truck. Tonight, the Ford is put together and charging. Tomorrow, the 4 Wheeler will be assembled and charged. It is going to be a great Christmas for my kiddos. I'm really looking forward to seeing the JOY on their faces this year.***Glad to know you're reading me in in your feeds! :) ...
Warm Weather for Christmas?!
2007-12-20 21:45:00
The weather here today was nasty. It was muggy and a big part of the day was hard rain falling. I am really ready to get rid of all of this rain. Although I don't really want snow and ice like our neighbors to the North are receiving, I would like for it to feel a bit more like winter out! I have some really cute sheepskin boots that are not very comfortable in 60° temperatures. So, keep your fingers crossed that Christmas will be at least a bit COLD here in central Arkansas!***Glad to know you're reading me in in your feeds! :) Don't forget to stop by and comment, though 'cause I'm DO FOLLOW!***. ...

Hello everyone! Oscar just wanted to say hi. He's doing great. He got his second round of shots yesterday along with a heart worm pill. The vet says he looks good and he's growing well. He's been a wonderful addition to the family. The kids really love him. He's a bit rambunctious at times. He has very sharp claws and sometimes he gets overly excited and wants to jump on the kids thus scratching their legs. Puppies will be puppies and soon enough (I hope) he'll grow out of this and learn not to do so. In the meantime I have to mediate more fights with this additional member of the family. Ah well...so goes life. For those of you wondering. We still have the stray kitties whom Shelby named, "JJ" & "Cradlemoon". They are doing well and JJ has really grown a lot and he (or she I still don't know!) is a beautiful cat. I'll try to get some pictures of them soon. They live outside but come inside from time to time to eat. Cradle moon is still very shy and will not l ...

Conversations with Shelby

Oscar, the wiener dog had another check up today. He had to get another round of shots and a heart worm pill. I made the appointment late in the afternoon, so I just picked the kiddos up and took them with me. Tyler was a terror in the office. He was loud, refused to sit down and kept screaming that he wanted to leave. When we got there, the vet was doing an emergency c-section on an English Bulldog so we had to wait a bit. As we were in the exam room waiting I was holding Shelby in my lap. She was being good and quiet, as she is most of the time. I asked her, "Shelby why are boys so mean?" to which she replies:"Probably because they just don't have a brain."She's already got it figured out doesn't she?! *LOL****Glad to know you're reading me in in your feeds! :) Don't forget to stop by and comment, though 'cause I'm DO FOLLOW!***. ...
Christmas gifts for me?! Hmmm...
2007-12-18 21:18:00
My list wasn't very long this year. The reason is very simple. Mostly I didn't ask for a lot because I don't need or want a lot. I'm just one of those people that when I see something I want, I just get it. Well, that is within reason. There is one thing that I would really love to have...a new truck. I have an '02 Dodge Ram Quad Cab. I would LOVE to trade it in on something a little different. I want to get an SUV. I'm not really that particular as to what it has to be. Just something with four doors and some cargo room that is weather proof. I know I won't be getting this for the holidays, however so I guess I'll just have to hope for some good truck accessories instead, right?!***Glad to know you're reading me in in your feeds! :) Don't forget to stop by and comment, though 'cause I'm DO FOLLOW!***. ...

Whew!
2007-12-18 21:14:00
I am SO glad that I am finished with my Christmas shopping. It seems like every year there's that ONE person that you just haven't found the right gift for every year and the count down begins. This year that will not happen to me because I am finished with mine. Yes, my friends they are all (well most of them) are wrapped and tucked safely under the tree! I think that there's pretty much one of everything under there with the exception of HDMI switches of course. The kids are still too young to ask for this one. So, how about you? Are you all ready for the big day!?***Glad to know you're reading me in in your feeds! :) Don't forget to stop by and comment, though 'cause I'm DO FOLLOW!***. ...

Weekend Recap
2007-12-16 21:30:00
For those of you who are wondering...the kids are feeling better. Thank Goodness for those 5 day antibiotics. They sure do make 'em feel lots better tonight. We had our company Christmas party last night. Yes, there was alcohol involved. My purse was missing in action. We finally found it tossed in a flower bed outside the establishment. My cell phone was gone, but thank goodness my credit cards, check book, etc were in tact. I had no cash in it to begin with, so as far as I can tell all that was taken is my cell phone. I've been calling it all day and it goes straight to voice mail. So, it looks like I'll be getting a new one. What I really hate is that I lost all of my numbers. I don't know very many phone numbers anymore because I just punch a name and hit dial. So, it'll take me a while to get them all back. *sigh*We put up some of our Christmas lights (FINALLY) outside tonight. It's been raining for the last three weekends so we didn't have the opportunity to d ...

My Day
2007-12-14 22:45:00
This day started out very grand. My five year old daughter, Shelby woke up screaming at the top of her lungs that her "gummies" (gums) were hurting. Then she went on to be more specific that her jaw was hurting and her ear. As the morning progressed, I was getting ready for work and she was still crying that her ear was hurting. I took her earrings out thinking that maybe that's what was causing her grief. Finally I deduced that she must have an ear infection even though she was not running fever. Brien took Tyler to day care and I called the doctor to make an appointment for Shelby to see her pediatrician. No sooner than I had hung up the phone, Tyler could not have been at school longer than an hour, the daycare called and Tyler had vomited and was crying. He wanted to be held and was holding his right ear saying that it was hurting. I finished getting Shelby ready. We went by the day care and picked Tyler up and headed to the doctor's office. When we got there I told th ...
