Vegas Bound, Baby!!! 2007-10-29 21:52:00 For those of you keeping tabs, I've deposited my second month's salary for paid blogging into my savings account. This puts me up to $1000 toward my "Vegas Fund". I'm planning on taking my husband to Las Vegas next September on purely money made from blogging. He has never been to Vegas. We've never really been on a trip of sorts with just the two of us. I am not sure how long we'll be able to stay, but hopefully if I can keep averaging $500 a month we'll get there and be able to play a little bit. Heck before it's all said and done, if one of us hit a jack pot, maybe we'll be looking for Las Vegas homes for sale! Don't DO DRUGS 2007-10-29 21:43:00 I ran across this story today online and thought it was worth repeating here. I remember something similar when I was in high school. They'd given out red ribbons that said something about I don't use drugs and kids were marking out the "don't" and wearing them. The teachers didn't notice because everyone had on red ribbons and they paid no attention. Dreams 2007-10-29 21:37:00 I had the strangest dream last night. My mother was in need of two teeth. *LOL* Oh, wait it gets even more strange. I went to a doctor and they were going to do work on my teeth for me to remove two teeth so that I could donate them to my mother. I went through the surgery and I remember my mouth being really swollen and I could feel two teeth on the bottom back behind where my other teeth were. The dentist had extended my teeth out farther and somehow made my teeth appear wider. He was going to pull the other teeth when the swelling went down at a time when both of us could be there to transplant from one mouth to the other! Isn't this the craziest thing you've ever heard? I remember the nurse telling me to lie down with a warm pack on my stomach because the procedure that they'd performed on my generally causes some strain on the kidneys. Later on as they were getting my discharge papers together, my teeth started falling out of my mouth. I just remember them feeling lo ...

Duck Hunting 2007-10-28 21:33:00 Arkansas is known as "The duck hunting capital of the world." More than 70,000 duck stamps are sold in Arkansas every year, and more mallards are harvested in the state than in the rest of the Mississippi flyway. THANK GOODNESS hubby doesn't duck hunt. Pumpkin Carving Update 2007-10-27 13:03:00 We've just finished carving our pumpkins. The kiddos had a fun time but as usual, they tuckered out early and Brien and myself were left to finish up. There was enough pumpkin guts to fill a utility cart, I tell ya. It was a mess when they finished. But, we had fun and the pumpkins are okay! Build A Bear 2007-10-26 23:45:00 Day three was the most fun at Build A Bear. Shelby got a smile on her face like I'd not seen on our entire trip! We surprised her by telling her she was going to get to do something she'd never done before. Of course there were lots of guesses, but she didn't get even close. When we walked in, and she realized what she was going to do she referenced the episode of Hannah Montana "Make A Moose" where Miley and her neighbor's niece made Hannah Moosetana! :) I told her yes they were quite similar! Shelby chose a pink teddy bear for her creation. First up the bear has to be filled with life. There are all sorts of sound boxes that you can add inside the bear should you choose to do so, but this would prohibit you from future sessions in the washing machine. So, we did not add any sounds to Shelby's bear or Tyler's puppy dog that Becca carefully selected. Next up, the child chooses a heart.
