While tidying up Clara's table, I noticed this small piece of paper in one of her box. It reads "Today I am very sad because..."I was very surprised. I was heart broken and taken aback. Today is her last exam paper, Higher Chinese and Maths Paper II. For the last week, everyday tuition, except on Thursday, where she need to study for her Science. She was stressful, so do I. Father's Boat 2007-10-03 09:27:00 This is the kind of boat my father used to have. My father told me it is a Sampan. He used to roll the boat, with my mother and I sitting in the Sampan. My father used to be a fisherman. He loves to go to the sea. He used to catch many sea creatures such as stingrays, horseshoe crabs, sea horses, sea urchins, sea cucumbers and many other types of fish. He made his own boat with planks and styrofoam. He did not waste money to buy any expensive boat. He made his own fishing nets too. My father used to park his Sampan at Punggol Beach. Nowadays, people who have boats need to buy boat insurance and they also need to buy 'parking space' for their boat. Everything is money here in Singapore. This is peer pressure. Seeing his friends have it, he also must have it. Last week, he came home telling me about water babies. Then one day, he came home so excited, showing me a few transparent water babies which his friends gave him. He wished for coloured ones. Mid-Autumn Festival 2007-09-28 12:55:00 This is the lanterns I had captured at QiHua Primary School. Ricsson had made his own lanterns too. Before the actual day, the children were already so excited about the day and they looked forward to the day to come. These are some pictures taken at Causeway Point. This is the only place (around my neighbourhood) where there was some 'atmosphere' about Mooncake Festival. The only thing which the children love about Mooncake Festival is eating mooncakes and playing with fire. Can You Choose Death 2007-09-28 10:38:00 Can You Escape Death?This is a minor injury. I fell down from the bicycle. I was trying to shun a hanging worm then. I managed to shun a hanging worm from the trees while cycling to the church. Little did I expect to have another hanging worm just right after I had managed to straighten my body to continue forward, I saw another hanging worm right in front of me this time. It was not near and too prompt to stop. It was a natural reaction to shun away from the worm. I fell down as a result, with Ricsson behind me. It was painful, but my main concern is the one behind me. Luckily, Ricsson was fine. He had no injuries at all. For falling down from the bicycle, I had torn by pants and had bruises on my ankle and knee injuries. There were slight swelling on the knee as well. The baby had many red packets as gifts.This is a close up view of the baby with the red packet which we had given her. She was sleeping most of the time. She was a relative of Richard. This is because it is very hard to draw a line between work and personal relationship. Often, good things are taken for granted and bad things are always remembered and not forgotten. I had bought these items during the one week school holidays. The children need to buy new shoes and my cookware need a change too. Mooncake festivals is new the corner, the children love to eat mooncakes. The shopping was tiring. We need to carry so many things home.I had always preferred to shop online.
