Puttin' Up The Christmas Tree 2 2007-12-08 23:00:00 Did You Put Your Tree Up Yet?I'm still fighting a cold but I wanted to help my Mommy, Grammy, and Pop-Pop put up the Christmas tree today. I wasn't about to let a little cold stand in my way! I remember all the fun we had doing it last year... Mommy dressed me up in a Santa Claus suit, I got a chance to play in the Christmas tree box, and we put all kinds of things on the tree. Grammy even started something called a "tradition". She got me a special thing called an "ornament" to put on the tree. It was a tiny sleigh with my name on it. When we finished with the tree and turned the lights on, it was really something to see!This year's "Putting' Up The Christmas Tree" was a lot different than last year. For starters, I couldn't wear my Santa suit because Mommy said I am too big for it now. I also discovered that it's a lot more fun to let everyone else put things on the tree so I can take them off! I'm On Sick Leave 2007-12-07 23:00:00 God Bless You! Well, I didn't get a chance to help my Grammy with any more blog posts this past week because I got sick with a cold. I was sneezing and coughing a lot. Mommy said that I felt a little warm and had something called a "fever" so, she decided not to send me to day care on Thursday and Friday. I really missed Ms. Bea, Nyeisha, and all my friends but Mommy said that I might make them sick too so, I had to stay at home. She stayed home (and didn't go to work) so she could take care of me and did all kinds of things to help me feel better. Black Friday 2007-11-22 23:00:00 Shopping, Rides, and a Movie!I'm not too sure what a "Black Friday" is...I thought it was going to be dark all day long! Anyhoo, we all got up early, piled in the car, and went to the King of Prussia mall looking for something called "sales". There were Christmas decorations everywhere and lots of people. We saw Santa Claus there but the line was too long to pay him a visit this year. When we stopped looking for sales, we had some Chinese food for lunch. I just love that white steamed rice! Pop-Pop had his favorite, italian food, instead.After lunch, I got a chance to get on some rides. Then, we headed over to the movie theatre to see "This Christmas." Thanksgiving Day 2007-11-21 23:00:00 Family, Friends, Food, & Fun! I had dinner at my Great Grandmother Pumpkin Pie's house, just like I did last year. This time, I actually ate food instead of my Elmo toy. It's funny how much your taste buds can change in one year.Of course, my Mommy was there too.My Pop-Pop drove us to Pumpkin Pie's house. After that, we all piled in the car and went to SBC. I like going to church because I always have a good time clapping and singing. When the singing stops, what I do from that point on varies depending on how I am feeling. Sometimes, I just fall asleep, which is what I did today. When I want to move around and have fun, Mommy takes me to the child care room. There are always other kids to play with and plenty of snacks to keep my happy until the service is over. Sunday is also a good day for Mommy to pick up all kinds of "stuff" that I need . We usually do that after church so, we went to the supermarket and a store called "Target".
