Please Extend Some Help
2007-09-02 09:40:00
A group of blind musicians play whole day beside Landmark Terminal. It is amazing to see blind people play as a band in a synchronized way and sing their own rendition of the hits from their time. You may sometimes find them annoying, but please, somehow understand their situtation. They just need your little contribution by donating some of your coins to their donation box would indeed be a big help to them and to their foundation. It's more worth to give some money to them than to give your coins to Red Cross Volunteers who beg money on MRT cashiers. At least you know that the money will directly benefit them and not with some politicians of some organizations. ...

French Baker
2007-09-02 09:30:00
In addition to my Bread Talk post which is about other coffee brand alternatives to Starbucks and Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf, I bring you French Baker. Easily seen in the footbridge between Landmark and Glorietta mall, this coffee shop sells good coffee at an affordable price. This brewed coffee is served with a generous serving of cookie, packed of imported fresh milk and of course, sugar. Their baked lasagna is deliciously drowned in fresh tomato sauce concocted with melted cheese with an ample serving of toasted garlic bread. Brewed coffee is priced at only P48 and lasagna around P98.00. This is a true affordable alternative to Starbucks and other same-old coffee shops. ...

UCC Park Cafe at Glorietta
2007-09-02 09:18:00
One of the most expensive coffee shops in Metro Manila can be found here in Glorietta Park facing Glorietta and at the back of 6750. The UCC Park Cafe opened several months ago and is probably one of the most expensive coffee shops in Makati area and probably in Metro Manila. Maybe because this brand of coffee comes from Japan. We can sometimes never deny that eveything from Japan means quality but of course with a high price. ...

Faith and Business Combined
2007-09-02 09:10:00
This parish/church can be found inside Greenhills shopping complex. This is a true manifest that business and faith can co-exist in a single area. This parish benefits from the surrounding establishments like plenty supply of wealthy parishioners who are willing and able to contribute money. The Church is by the way fully-airconditioned. ...

Uncle John's Restaurant
2007-09-02 08:47:00
Gokongwei's very own fast food chain is a real haven for combined Chinese, Italian, American and Filipino food at a very reasonable price. Chicken meals, burger combos, pasta, pizzas, rice toppings and stir fried noodles. We dropped by to Robinson's Galleria and to no surprise, this is owned and managed by the Gokongweis. Try buying their pizza and you can get 50% off on your second one. Burger meals are also buy 1 take 1 during 2pm to 5pm. Their burger patties are indeed fresh and the taste doesn't resemble that of Jollibee, McDonals, and Burger Machine. I think it's locally made. Fries too are quite huge and more meaty unlike other fries. The best part is having the cheapest price among the same competitors. Also they have a super friendly staff to serve you. Visit them at Robinson's Galleria and soon to open at Robinson's Ermita branch. Try and see the difference. ...

Different Faces of a Filipina
2007-08-31 09:28:00
Today, I can describe a modern day Filipina in many ways. Here are some of them.1.) A Filipina corporate type is a typical Filipina who works either in a business process outsourcing company in the likes of Makati, Ortigas or Libis or any major cities in the Philippines. The Filipina corporate type loves to dine-out with colleagues and friends during paydays. Sometimes, she smokes during breaktime. If she works in Makati CBD, she would have sometimes buy food at Jolly Jeep and eat at the office or dine at any fastfood or posh restaurants nearby. If she works in Ortigas she would have walked towards the nearest mall foodcourts to eat. Sometimes, if there are rush reports, she does overtime to finish it. If there are specially packaged and priced corporate offers like Globe, Smart or Sun Cellular network handphones, she would purchase it as for her secondary phone kit. It could be that three (3) out of five (5) of these Filipina corporate types have either a:1. Friendster account;2. Have ...

Wowowee Controversy
2007-08-30 02:48:00
A recent episode of a noontime gameshow in the Philippines sparked and fueled the feud between a rival noontime show on the other channel. The said host, Willie Revillame made a mistake on identifying where is the wheel which contained the P2M. This sparked a controversy when the host apparently switched something at the back of the wheel. It seemed suspicious that there were indeed two films inserted in the wheel and when the player chose the one who has P2M, they will pull the film which showed the the number zero (0). Please see the video on the last two minutes of this clip. You judge if this is fraudulent. ...

Lunar Eclipse
2007-08-29 01:59:00
Yesterday night's Lunar Eclipse taken by a friend of mine Leneah in Davao City. The image shows as it tries to cover initially the brightness of the moon from the Earth's shadow. Unlike here in Makati and Metro Manila area, the clouds covered the entire skies which killed the hopes of individuals who waited for the Lunar Eclipse. ...

Davao City Airport Terminal Fee is Now 200
2007-08-28 03:27:00
Today, the Department of Transportation and Communication, signed the effectivity of increase of the Airport Terminal fee in Davao City from P40 to P200. This is a 500% increase from the previous amount that Davawenyo travellers are enjoying. In fact, Davao City has the cheapest airport terminal fee in the whole Philippines. To think that the Davao International Airport has been that beautifully designed, we only pay P40.00 to the government. With that we bid farewell to the previous P40.00 airport terminal fee that we have been enjoying for the past 5 years. I hope this money that they will collect will go to the enhancement of facilities and security details of our international airport. For more information, please visit:http://www.sunstar.com.ph/static/dav/2007/08/28/news/airport.terminal.fee.up.now.p200.html ...

2007-08-26 12:28:00

Trinoma Mall
2007-08-26 12:10:00
Trinoma Mall is perhaps the most convenient mall in Metro Manila which is connected right away with the MRT Station. This mall, owned and operated by Ayala Malls, is very unique to the rest of its malls. First, unlike Glorieta, it is more spacious and it has more walking space for strollers. Aside from a wider walking space, the mall has more space for shops in area compared to its sister malls, Glorieta and Greenbelt. The unique facility that this mall has is its garden filled with pond and decorated with fountains and mist sprayers. The coolest spot can be found on the 4th floor where Starbucks, which is the only shop built, can be found. The coffee shops is surrounded with beautiful ponds and artifically planted palmera trees and encircled with mist sprayers which makes the place like that of SM Baguio. Visit Trinoma Mall now and see the difference. ...

Taco Bell at Trinoma Mall
2007-08-26 11:43:00
My first Taco Bell experience at Trinoma was definitely delicious! The newly opened Trinoma Mall also opened its first Taco Bell outlet among Ayala Malls. The 1/2 pound burritos, soft beef taco, cinamon twists and cheese nachos we ordered filled our tummies to satisfaction as the taste was superb and price is reasonable! Large drinks are refillable but we just ordered medium ones as we are on a "diet." Also, try their other Mexican dishes like, enchiladas, fajitas and other variations of tacos and burritos. Taco Bell at the Trinoma Mall, North Avenue, Quezon City, is now open to serve you with authentic American-Mexican dishes. ...
