Kanji of the Week No. 20
2007-09-29 08:29:00
READING: Nihon yuki. ?????Meaning:Filipinos are fond of using the term JAPAYUKI or a person who goes to Japan. This is a stigma that they cast among Filipina Entertainers back then during the influx around the 1990's. The first two kanjis mean Nihon???? or Japan and the third kanji is derived from "ikimasu"????? which means to go. But for this reading, the meaning is YUKI??? which means bound to or bound for a specific destination.Collectively, JAPANYUKI or JAPAYUKI means bound for Japan, and no other such meanings. ...

2007-09-29 03:45:00
For so long that he's been seeking his place in his so called world. Constant obstacle seems so endless. I have been a witness how hard he gave his best to find where he fits, to look where he belongs. For so long he waited for the right moment, his own moment, but never gave a single doubt that it will not come. And now he is spreading his wings and ready to fly to where he belongs! It maybe a short or long, high or low bumpy ride but he is ready to face the world for this is his moment. This is another story of his colorful life. I, his friends, former colleagues, readers, will definitely waiting for this chapter. Although I will be missing him but sometimes the way of showing that we care is by letting the person go and give his way to fly. This is for you Rey Ian. Always be my bestfriend, my love, my all. ...

Cool Canon Calculator
2007-09-25 21:48:00
This is the first time that I see a Canon brand calculator that has a USB connectivity. Apart from its USB feature, it has two (2) more expandable slots. If you want to charge your cellphone using USB or just plug your card reader, you can do so. Apparently, this product is from Japan. I don't exactly know if Canon Philippines sell this kind of model. Also, aside from being connected with USB, its also solar. I got confused where it gets its power since solar-powered devices have their own stack of batteries inside and with this model, it has its USB connectivity. Whew.... Anyway, it works as a regular calculator. Would you like to have it? For me, I am fine with the calculator of my cellphone. Products from Japan such as this really amazes me. ...

Hard to Drink? (????????)
2007-09-21 12:45:00
??????????????? We found these drink products (????) in Robinson's Supermarket. It labels below its product name the tag "Hard to Eat" label. It has sugar beets, cucumber and carrot variants. I am not so sure if how they manage to put this kind of product name tagging. Perhaps because carrots, cucumber and sugar beets are indeed difficult to eat alone. So that is why they made it into fruit drinks. I could only recal in Le Coeur de France that they use sugar beets in their own bread product. So, try this and surely it is easy to drink than to eat. That is Vedge drink products! ...
