Big Goal for 2008?
2008-01-06 11:27:00
What is your big adventure/goal going to be for the new year?Jen R is starting the new year off with a big bang! A double booth! There's a nice mix of her hand painted things, vintage wares, and decorative items. In an effort to get some "free money", Jen R follows Gram's good old-fashioned Polish logic and keeps a change jar. All of the spare change collected from the bottom of her purse goes into it. She will empty it periodically when it gets too heavy. It doesn't look like a lot, but the gallon container will hold almost $40-$50 in assorted change. It's nice to have the change on hand.Jen R here's your 'Great Tip Award'! Be sure to pass on the award by picking 3 people you've been inspired by!What is your big adventure/goal going to be for the new year? ...

It's the Thought that Counts
2008-01-02 19:02:00
Sue did the most amazing thing a while ago and I wanted to share it with all of you. I have truly been inspired by her service and her thoughtfulness. All I can say is "WOW!" what an amazing gift.More often these days, you read a blog post that completely lifts you up and makes you want to be a better person. Sue did this for me with her post on 'I am a Mother'.Sue mailed this package to Julie after what must have been a really bad mommy day.Sue wrote: "I know it’s probably a little strange getting a package from a complete stranger, but when I read your “For Sale” post on your blog (see attached copy) I just wanted to do something for you. You really captured a crazy day in a mother’s daily life. I included a few items in your package to help you gear up in case you have another disastrous day like this one."Here's what Sue put in her care package:Granite counter top cleaner complete with a scrapper to help remove glue and glitter topped with toilet paper. A roll of toilet ...

Submitted Tips!
2007-12-20 08:31:00
I've got some great and useful tips that have been submitted to TipJunkie.com! Thank you Ladies so much - it makes my job a lot easier. {{wink}}Amy over at Kid Daze submitted this great tip idea on how to keep your kids happy with the toys they have. She suggested getting 3 crates and dividing up the toys into the crates. Keep one crate out and the others tucked away in a closet. Then simply rotate the crates so the toys are always fun and "new".That is such a great idea Amy! I do the same sort of thing with the Surprise Box. Simply add a bunch of old toys your child loves but no longer plays with into a bin (not clear). Put it away and only get it out occasionally, for Rainy Days, Babysitters, Sunday, etc.Tip: Add a theme to your Surprise box but adding in only "ABC" related items or "Blue's Clues" items. Etc.This is such the perfect time for a tip like this. As you're making room for new toys, go ahead and sort the old toys. Come spring break - you can get them out and they'll be ...

Christmas Tree Decor
2007-12-20 08:30:00
What beautiful Christmas Tree's I've seen lately. This one is my friend's, Laurie, here in Texas. She was inspired by the Pottery Barn catalogue and decorated her tree with these amazing silver frames and pictures of her family. It's absolutely breathtaking in person! This is Lori's (who did the Game of Life). I noticed on her blog when I went to check out her family letter. This girls got talent! I love the boards she used to decorate her tree! How cool. You could also do this with vinyl lettering. While we were at my friends house delivering goodies, I noticed how creative she got with her tree. She has 2 girls under 2 and put a gate around the presents. Genius!! Why didn't I think of that this year with my toddler? Hmm... ...
