Awesome Tshirt Find
2007-09-10 13:57:03
Is that not a hot picture? I love this site. I book marked it. They have some of the hottest designs. I love t-shirts. I buy all the clothes for me and my fiance. Which means I am always on the look out for new places to shop. Almost every woman knows what I am talking about. I stopped buying uber expensive things for him ($90 dollar jeans) because he would wear those to work, and come home with soot, filth etc. all over them. Yet the $34 Target jeans would be in pristine condition. Go figure? Its the same thing with his shirts so I am always looking for places that are cheap but super trendy still. Since I search on a daily basis I come across cool places. This t shirt place is one of them. The best part is its someone like us. They have a cafepress shop so you can check the sizes and know that you aren’t getting ripped off since its a huge company behind it. Not like some side street vendor set up shop. But their shirts are really nicely priced. $24 was one of the expensive o ...
In Praise of Naps
2007-09-10 09:06:34
About seven years ago I resigned from a full-time job that was just not working out for all parties involved. Subsequently, for four years I was able to work only three full days a week. This was not a problem, in fact it was a breeze! On those three days I began work at 8:00 in the morning and concluded approximately 6:00 in the evening. Sounds long? Well, not really. You see, I had a two hour lunch break and was able to dash home (I lived only three miles from work) and do laundry, wash floors, prep dinner, etc. So for about six months I actually worked a full 10-hour day, non-stop, given that at lunchtime I didn’t relax and take a breather. I thought I’d get a head start on my evening. This was not a head start on things, this was a head game I was playing. Dragging and tired it didn’t occur to me how foolish this was. Boo-hoo because I only worked part-time, right? Wrong. I worked my hiney off at home on the days I didn’t have to go to work, and I did it out of shear guilt; ...
Belisi Long Scarves
2007-09-10 09:00:45
After working at a couple of hi-end fashion stores, I have become in love with scarves. Not just as a fashion accessory but as a headband and they are just amazing. www.belisi.com looks to be newer fashion. The scarf featured to the left is Monarch Red Long Scarf which can be worn as a head band scarf, a belt, pony tail ribbon and basically so much more. You can be your own fashion diva. But in all essences its a beautiful scarf. I love long scarves for pony tail ribbons. It makes it pop, or even headbands. As you can go into any store now and find headbands set up with a little bit of a scarf tail on them. To me pre-made ones just look cheezy. I prefer to make my own headband. But how creative are you? Really? Belisi scarves are high qaulity and gorgeous and quite frankly they have such pretty patterns I wish some of these scarves were purse designs. Or are they? Are you that crafty of a mommy you can take something from some other designs and turn it into a purse. Heck even if it ...
Contact Lenses
2007-09-08 13:43:31
Before buying my glasses I was debating over getting contacts or not. I wanted them but I never felt I looked right in them, aside the fact that I wanted to get them for sunglasses. It is really hard because I am always so nervous, I’ve worn them before and they weren’t bad. An old friend of mine had almost the same exact prescriptions so she gave me a couple of hers to wear to test it out. It was kinda fun, really like crazy in the beginning as I wasn’t used to them and would feel really awkward putting them in until I fell into a routine. But I still think about wearing them from time to time. Fil says my head is too big for them, I think so too. (It’s a funny ha-ha) But honestly not everyone looks good in them although I really want them to get back my Burberry sunglasses. Those things were hawt! But once I get my prescription I would look to buy contact lenses online. I do all my business online and it just makes it a heck of a lot easier to work with. I ...
Bawdy Botanicals Soap Bars and Body Balms
2007-09-08 12:22:05
Much like most women, I have a serious obsession when it comes to bath, skincare, and beauty products. In my case, however, I also have a complexion that mocks me. That when I look in the mirror, it looks back and I swear, produces acne before my eyes. When looking for my beloved bath products, I keep a lookout for organic, all-natural products; you know, the good stuff! Due to a few chemical imbalances I’m not ashamed to say I live with daily, I also keep my eyelids peeled for anything aromatherapy. Taking all of this into consideration when using any product I introduce to my skin, I was happy when I found Bawdy Botanicals. Bawdy Botanicals describes itself as “saucy stuff for the sensually inclined” and they are exactly right! Upon visiting their website, the first thing anyone will notice is the packaging of their soaps. With vivid colors and illustration combined with the names of the products, such as Burning Bush, Stud Suds, and others, I was intrigued. Upon receiving ...
Sara Bear Diaper Caddies
2007-09-07 22:48:19
The transformation of a house after a child is born is always dramatic. In between caring for your newly born baby or rambunctious toddler, you’ll notice that your once clean and organized house is turned completely upside down, leaving you running around and looking under everything in order to find the diapers and other necessities you just know you have laying around somewhere. Luckily, there are products out there that can help you get organized again, or at least organize the necessities needed when you’re baby changing or feeding. Better yet, there are products out there with style, ready to accompany the décor of your home, bathroom, or nursery. Sara Bear diaper caddies are amazingly cute, coming in seven different colors and patterns. They are incredibly roomy, featuring five compartments, one custom fitted to hold a baby wipes container, and four pockets for smaller items, such as diaper rash cream, baby oil, and lotions. They also have a comfortable handle, match ...
Skip Hop: Fashion for Trendy Mommas!
2007-09-07 21:44:17
There have been new trends in fashion for mommy popping up all over the place, and most recently, we’ve seen that the grand majority of new fashion are diaper bags. No longer are mommies looking for the Winnie the Pooh bags, or the newest cartoon characters. Now, women prefer to travel with their baby in style! We have reviewed a few other bags in this category here at Pajama Mommy, but the recent Skip Hop bag I tested is definitely going to stand out in my mind when it comes to Mommy Fashion. The Skip Hop “Dash Canvas” bag is a wonderfully roomy bag, which is the most important attribute you can look for when purchasing a bag of any kind, never mind a diaper bag! It held the contents of my every day life easily, and provided exceptional flare in the Uptown Stripe pattern. It is made of sturdy poly-canvas, it’s lightweight, and spills can be easily wiped away. This bag comes in an array of different colors, guaranteed to match any woman’s personal style, and there ...
DevDad Gives Away An IMAC!
2007-09-07 14:01:00
I was so excited to see this contest so I had to tell EVERYONE about this. I have been dying for an IMAC so I definitely hope I win. Since those things are out of my price range right now but maybe not later! However this is seriously awesome. Mike the owner of DevDad is running an awesome contest sponsored by Sitter City. I have to say first off it is awesome that he is a stay at home dad! I think there should be more of them! But even more he is really going all out to promote his website. That I have to give major props to! And Sitter City is awesome. Do you know how hard it is to find decent babysitters? I know people who allow 11 year olds to baby sit. So not my idea of proper child care. Well all you do is sign up there are two choices 7.95 a month but you prepay for the year which is really an awesome deal! He offers multiple ways to earn tickets for the contest! Check it out: You *must* make a post about the iMac contest using the following links and graphics. I have worked o ...
Take a Cruise
2007-09-06 13:19:33
Direct Line cruises purchased a sponsored review because they know how great our site is and how women, moms, parents just sometimes need a little vacation with or without the kids! Directline cruises is great because they have been in business for over 12 years selling discount cruises. They have a simple, easy to operate website which was more than informative! Plus on top of all that they have cruise cancellation protection included in their cruises! So just incase something happens they have got you covered! Do you know how great that is? Seriously knowing someone else is doing the behind the scenes work is great. I mean when Fil and I went out to the city the other night it was fun since it was spur of the moment but it was horrible since nothing was planned and we ended up sleeping in Penn Station for almost 2 hours waiting for a train to show up, since the 7 line stops running at 10pm. So when someone else is working out the details it is great since they tell you all the littl ...
No Sew Blanket
2007-09-06 08:38:28
OK, so I posted a craft for No Sew Pillows from Exploring Womanhood and now here… drum roll please… are the directions for a No Sew Blanket. I thought this would be a great side item to go along with your pillow as a gift. And, if you are making them for your own home, then this is a great way to keep cozy late at night watching a movie. Even better, with winter around the corner these throws are great to have around to keep warm with. Supplies Needed: A pair of good scissors (If your scissors are dull, it will take a lot longer to complete!) OR rotary cutter and mat Ruler or tape measure Two 3/4 yard pieces of coordinating fleece. This should be enough to make two pillows (you need a 25″ x 25″ square for a 14 inch pillow form.) 14″ pillow form Remember: You need two separate pieces of fabric for the pillow; one will be the front, one will be the back. You can choose two coordinating fabrics or the same fabric. The choice is yours! Fleece mini panels l ...
Smart Affiliate
2007-09-05 13:48:01
Smartaff.org purchased this review and I am glad that they did! A lot of readers email me and ask me my secrets to earning and income, or want to know how else they can do it but cannot afford the one on one consulting that I offer. So I do my best to share all the secrets I can via posts on this website and others! But I was lucky, I figured out how to do it my way. Which my way earned me the ability to quit my full time job. I’m not rich yet but I will be! But I am always looking for new ways. Especially when I am paid to find out! haha! SmartAff.org is a non profit organization which helps you earn money! As part of this review I signed up for their affiliate program to test it out. The signup was painless, I had to enter my personal information such as SSN etc. Which the site was encrypted so I was happy with that. I was given a user name and a link. The site was simple, I understand what they are trying to do. It is a brand new program so signing up for their affiliate op ...
Lunapads: Natural Menstrual Products
2007-09-05 13:28:47
I am happy to present everyone with a new category—Going Green! Here is where we’ll give you ideas and tips on how you can eliminate yourself of corporate chemicals and take a little pressure off of the planet to boot. I am very excited about this category, specifically because I have the opportunity to review a product that I believe every woman needs to hear about—Lunapads! For $5 off a purchase of Lunapads (of over $25) simply put the promo code pjmommy07 in during checkout. The first time I heard of Lunapads was while standing in the middle of the magazine aisles at Borders Books & Music, flipping through my favorite feminist-geared magazine. At the time, my cycle situation was a little complicated. I am one of those women who celebrates being a woman. I like to feel in touch with my inner sense of woman at all times and embrace who I am and what I represent. Because of this, during my cycle, I wrapped a towel around my lower half whenever I was at home on the comput ...
Recipes and Dining
2007-09-05 09:19:00
Although you all know my mother writes the food and recipes section and those are the only ones we display on the site. It is always good to check out the competition. So when I received this sponsored post I was excited to see something else. You never know where your ideas come from for cooking. Just tweaking it makes a recipe all your own. Even though I don’t cook very often, I really do enjoy it. This website is definitely different. It is called FriendsEat.com Foodies finding Foodies. This recipes is new and I love new. This site is by everyone. There is one website creator and the recipes are submitted by you. Think of it like a cooking club. They don’t only just display recipes but review restaurants. Which is definitely great so when you’re travelling you can check out some great finds by locals in that area. I find this site to have great potential use. The site is an overall myspace for foodies. It is a little to social like myspace, it seems to be less abo ...
Review: Our Lady of Weight Loss by Janice Taylor
2007-09-05 08:49:19
I had absolutely no interest in this book until I was asked by Head Mommy to review it. I’m sure glad she asked. This book is filled with wonderful stories, insights, recipes, crafts, and forgiveness quips for yourself so you can move past your “I gotta eat this” mistakes. I’m surprised it’s not a bestseller. It was published in 2006, and although I saw it here and there in book club fliers, etc., it just never interested me. The cover picture put me off a tad because it looks kinda creepy with the cut & paste thing going on, and since I’m not Catholic, I judged it by it’s cover and we know how that always work out. I got a cup of coffee, sat down and perused, read and laughed out loud. One of the funny things is when the author says she finally gets a Costco club card and walks past all the nuts, candies, and ice creams, then proceeds to buy a forty-count box of Rice Krispies Treats - her favorite, then calls this insanity. I’ve had ...
Return to House on Haunted Hill
2007-09-05 08:45:06
There is a new movie coming out guys! It is called Return to House on Haunted Hill This movie stars the actress to the right her name is Amanda Righetti. She is a seasoned actress who also stars in the new T.V. Show K-Ville. As I just got my new fall preview guide, I was definitely interested in K-Ville to see how they are going to go about it. Its a hard topic so I don’t know if the world is ready for it but you never know? K-Ville is a Katrina stricken New Orleans. Its the story about 2 cops and what they encounter post Katrina, Louisiana. It is prime pickings for thugs so the show has a lot of potential. So Amanda has picked some good points. The preview (PG-13) looks creepy and is definitely on must see list. I love horror films! Check it out! ...
