Unique Kids Bedding
2007-09-18 07:30:34
I have to say this is an awesome find. VisionBedding is definitely amazing.
From any age 3-100 people are particular about their bedding. I for example just spent an arm and a leg getting my beddings and curtains to finally match. Something I’ve been attempting to do for a few years but really never got around to it. So I finally said forget it! I’m doing this for myself! I loved it afterwards!
Finding bedding is important, I have to say my bed is the 3rd most important item in my bedroom at this moment.
The Computer
My HDTV LCD TV + XBOX
MY BED
The reason why it is only 3rd well I have become obsessed with this video game that made it to #2 :P. But this place is really awesome! They have bedding for teenagers which some of it, I swear, if Fil had his way we’d have the all the skateboarding bedding. However he doesn’t! So we have cream and red floral bedding. However, there is always a guest room in our future . But finding bedding for teens is actually a ...

Learning To Dance
2007-09-17 13:51:07
This is a sponsored review purchased by Salsa Boot Camps
Since once we have enough money saved up for the wedding having different dancing techniques under ones belt will be a very important thing for the dances. I would love to bust a move into a nice Cha Cha or a Merengue. I think it will be fun. Fil already knows how to ball room dance but I don’t. Plus, he wont take classes with me. Which is typical of a guy. But, also very obnoxious.
There are cool things about this since learning to dance with salsa boot camp is definitely a plus. You do it in the comfort of your own home so making mistakes is no embarrassment. Plus this is great for losing weight before the wedding. This of course perks up the ears of all our future brides. Learning how to dance is an amazing way to not only improve your dancing skill but improve your body before the wedding. Looking our best is always the most important thing for the big day.
This place is amazing since it teaches you so many different s ...

Pumpkin Bread
2007-09-17 10:24:21
This recipe and all others are shown on Pajama Mommy graciously from Best Kept Recipes
I must make 10 loaves of this each Autumn & Winter. This recipes yields 2 loaves - 1 to keep (they freeze well) and 1 to give away. I never, and I mean never, ate pumpkin anything until I tweaked a recipe I found for this, and it’s been true love ever since. As soon as the weather gets crispy outside, I stockpile the cans of Libby’s Solid-Pack Pumpkin and bake away. Your house will smell so good, you’ll make new friends! - I force her to make this bread every year. It is DELICIOUS!
3 1/3 cups regular flour
2 1/2 cups white sugar
2 tsp. baking soda
1 1/2 tsp. kosher salt
1 tsp. ground cinnamon
1 tsp. ground nutmeg
1 15 oz. can Libby’s solid-pack pumpkin
1 cup vegetable oil - (I use canola)
4 eggs, lightly beaten
2/3 cup water
Preheat your oven to 350 degrees and grease 2 loaf pans. Take out the 4 eggs and let them sit on counter while oven preheats - give this about 30 minutes.

Belisi Square Scarves
2007-09-17 00:00:25
As last week I spoke about Belisi’s Fashions in their long scarves and the things you can do with them aside from wearing them. I prefer the short scarves for other types of projects. You can see the complete line of scarves at : www.belisi.com. The best part is we will be featuring more ideas with products from the Belisi Fashion line, so check out the section in our Shopping & Style for more awesome ideas!
Now with the square scarves these are really nice because you can put them in frames! Plus your framing will be cheaper since they are only 36×36. All at great prices. One of my favorite colors is green and I think this green scarf is just gorgeous. I have a handbag this would go perfect with tied around the hand. (2nd idea)
When you decide to take things like silk scarves and use them as accents around the house there are more things you can do with them, depending on how crafty you are. I’m going to outline 3 ideas with what you can do with silk scarves the ...

Going Green With Light Bulbs
2007-09-15 00:39:26
Are you interested in doing something more for you environment? Are you interested in doing something for your family budget? OK, I’ve peaked your interest now.
Going Green doesn’t mean making drastic changes to your life and family in one swoop. You can make small, minor adjustments to your life and still be Green. One small recent change I have made is going from incandescent light bulbs to compact fluorescent light bulbs or CFL’s for short.
I learned tons of interesting facts from GreenLightsUSA.com about CFL’s and how changing them can not only reduce energy, reduce pollution, but in changing out my bulbs, I have reduced my utility bill approximately $60.00 per month. There is where the family budget kicks in.
Some Facts from GreenLightsUSA.com:
• Every year, 106 billion pounds of preventable pollution is generated to power older-generation light bulbs. These incandescent bulbs use 4 times more energy than necessary to produce the light for your homes and businesses.

Habibi: Amazing Products
2007-09-14 12:07:36
I was excited when Gretchen Keene of Gretchen Keene PR told me about her client, Habibi. I had to go see for myself since I am always looking for all natural face products that I can pronounce everything in them plus work on very fair very sensitive skin. As I get older my face is no longer how it used to be, where I can put anything on it and nothing would penetrate the skin causing break outs. So I am stuck with various breakouts every now and then and nothing to do. I refuse to go back to my dermatologist since he gave me this cream product for my face which had a side effect of FATALITY. I wouldn’t say thats a side effect more of a after effect so I tossed that and have been trying to find things to work on my skin ever since.
So I am always looking for facial products I can either give the boot too, aka cross off my list, or rave about. This is one I am going to rave about. I received 3 sample products in the mail from Habibi: Shampoo, Facial Mask, Body Balm. I was hesitan ...

Little Tumblers Table Toppers
2007-09-14 10:45:02
First I must apologize for being a little M.I.A. over the past several weeks from our weekly Friday Finds discussions. I have been dealing with some family issues and Amanda [aka Head Mommy] has so graciously been understanding enough to let me deal with those issues and put Friday Finds on the back burner for now.
I think I am back, but do not quote me on that as life can throw you a curve ball at any moment in time. But enough rambling, onto our featured product of the week.
Little Tumblers Table Toppers is a great little invention created to help keep your wobbly toddlers from getting hurt on your coffee table. Think of it as a slip cover for your coffee table. It comes in several different colors to match your decor. It is made out of super soft fabric and is very cushy to ease the discomfort of an accidental fall.

Working With Sk-rt
2007-09-14 06:40:57
When I heard about SK-RT I wrote about it thinking it was cute, and another great tool. I have been trying to use it more to figure out new ways of promoting Pajama Mommy. I have 2 posts in there already and have been getting a lot of love from it! It is really great. One of the better things is, that getting on the front page is a heck of a lot easier than Digg. I have tried.
Another thing about SK-RT is it is more tailored and targeted for this website and a lot of yours. It doesn’t matter if you have a momprenuer boutique, or a personal blog. You can SK-RT it. You have the attention of women and few gentlemen as well!
I spoke about mine and my friends stumble upon group in a previous article Utilizing Stumble Upon. Well we have expanded to include SK-RT to! For new sites it is hard to rely on your non existent readers to promote you correct? Well this is where the group comes in! We promote you and you promote us! We all exchange stumbles and SK-RT’s. Everyone deserves the chan ...

2007-09-13 23:42:25

Importance of RSS Feeds
2007-09-12 14:52:45
The importance of RSS Feeds is that you want to show versatility by offering both that and a newsletter if you have one.
Real Simple Syndication (RSS) is to let your readers know that you have updated your site. It doesn’t matter if you have 1 subscriber or 20,000 like some sites. The number of readers doesn’t ever have to be disclosed. I prefer it since it is an alternative to a newsletter. I didn’t have time to run a website and a newsletter so I have opted for utilizing the RSS feed.
How do I use RSS?
Well, I subscribe to some of my favorite sites by using a RSS live bookmark feed. This is very similar to a tool bar since I don’t have them directly in my bookmarks folder, but, you can have them there. I prefer not to so I don’t forget to comment on a friends site, or check to see if someone has updated. This can happen if they get lost in the mountain of bookmarks I collect.
For websites, I recommend either allowing people to sign up for email alerts, or having the ema ...

Magazine Agent
2007-09-12 12:55:06
I actually have been looking at getting more magazines. I know Fil reads tons and tons of skateboarding magazines, and I am tired of paying an arm and a leg over at Borders for all his magazines. It is the only place that sells them. So I was happy when Magazine Agent purchase a review since I didn’t have to do any looking for a place to get cheap magazines. They don’t carry any of his yet but I am keeping my eye out.
But they do offer a bunch of magazines I read like Pink Magazine, Martha Stewart all of hers (she is my personal God). But I love the fact that when I did a search for Martha Stewart it give me a ton of other options for magazines I never paid attention to, or forgot about! It was really awesome. Now I can get mail regularly that aren’t bills! Those I don’t enjoy reading at all.
The best part is every magazine they sell comes with a 90 day risk free trial. So depending on your magazine you get 3 months of a trial! I mean this site is awesome. I lo ...

Fun Crafty Door Mats
2007-09-12 07:23:25
I really like that this craft fell into my lap, well technically my e-mail in box. I receive a monthly e-mail from Home Made Simple and this month a great craft graced the main topic of my newsletter - simple, personalized mats for your front door.
Now this craft is not creating the mat from scratch, but taking a plain mat you find at your local retailer and adorning it with your personality. I like this craft because it is easy enough that even I can do it!
Other ideas: You can use these mats for themes as well. Fall, Halloween, Winter, Spring – endless ideas. Another neat idea - birthday mats. You can decorate a mat based on the theme of the party or based on the personality of the birthday boy or girl. When guests arrive for a birthday party they will see a welcome mat dressed for the occasion.
Read on, Create on! Enjoy!
First Choose Your Mat
Each of these welcome mat ideas uses a different type of base material. Both are made of a thick durable fiber, perfect for persona ...

Alicia McSorley - Basket Star
2007-09-11 07:02:22
This review was purchased by Basket Star.
Gift baskets are always huge, and even more so when I go up the island I find a HUGE store based on custom baskets so similar to these. It is actually strange I didn’t know how big of a business this was. I loved the basket to the left, since not only is it an amazing back to bring to the beach you get a ton of stuff on top of it. It actually is a good idea for those momprenuers that cannot decide what to do well add this to your list! There are so many beautiful baskets on this site. The one I picked out is just amazing. It has so many odds and ends in there. She really knows how to work her craft it is just wonderful.

Hair Care - Rinses
2007-09-11 06:33:40
There are many different types of natural rinses that you can use for your hair, but the best one is a simple one. A cider vinegar rinse. What’s even better is that you can buy organic cider vinegar at your local grocer.
Mix 2 drops of your favorite essential oil - your choice - per each tablespoon of cider vinegar, add this to your final rinse water.
You may want to mix up a small batch and store in a container in your bathroom, then you’ll have it on hand for whenever you wanna use it.
