Your Family Tree
2007-10-02 08:15:46
My daughter just celebrated her 7th birthday and in a discussion we were having, grandma’s name popped up, then Noni’s name popped up, but she asked something that I wasn’t prepared for – she asked about her great-grandparents and so on. Not that I can’t give her the information, I was just surprised she asked on her own, without me giving suggestions. She was ready to know a bit about her family history – 7-year-old style. I wanted to make this a fun, educational experience and not overload her, so I went on-line in search of a fun printable that I could use to explain our family. I found a simple format at FamilyEducation.com that was colorful, easy to use, and kept her attention. This project led me on a much larger path, using photographs to teach our family. A continuing project for us will be to take our printable and create a photograph family tree. Using a large poster board or equivalent item, use family photographs (you don’t mind cutting) and cut out ...
Belisi Ties
2007-10-01 08:45:04
Belisi Clothiers (www.belisi.com) is really famous for their ties. I think they are absolutely gorgeous. I was in need of a tie the other day when Fil had to go to a wake and we had nothing. I had to quickly goto Target and find something that would work for him. I quickly got him a pair of pants, a shirt, and a neck tie. 100% Target Silk hahaha. But it took about 20 minutes to find the perfect tie which wasn’t too over whelming. We had 2 problems, the one I loved was a wide tie and for skinny old Fil he can’t use the wide ties and the other problem was they were too long for a little 5′3 stature. Poor lil’ guy. So he had to rig the tie to make it shorter. But what can I expect it was last minute. So I officially kept all the items so we’re not last minute again. Fil then decided he likes dressing up so I am defintiely going to get him a collection of nice ties. Also a tie holder since right now its on a hanger. They have really busy scarves like to the ...
MySite Webhosting
2007-09-30 17:26:35
As you know I love getting the opportunities to review webhosting companies. When I was given the chance to review MySite’s website hosting I jumped on it. I think it is great to make sure you are fully informed of alternative places for hosting other than the main stream ones. Now their prices aren’t too bad, The break down of the plans are below: Option A: $0.00/mo. You’re thinking wow thats great right? Well as with most things there is a catch. The catch is you are limited to 50MB of space and 1GB of bandwidth plus they place ads on your site. However, if you aren’t paying for anything that isn’t a bad deal. You don’t get the fancy things though like FTP access or being able to install wordpress on the site. Full Plan Details Option B: $3.95/Mo — Correction: AS LOW AS 3.95 per month. Granted I couldn’t find out the full price since it took me through the ordering process. But I’m assuming its the yearly price of the plan wh ...
The Babysitter PlaceTile
2007-09-30 10:35:43
I was delighted to use the new Babysitter Place Tile recently! When I saw it I knew I just had to buy it! I am so happy I did purchase this! It is the perfect tool to keep all the important information for your child’s sitter in one location. It also saves you time and ensures that the information will not be misplaced (like sticky notes). The place tile itself is in a beautiful neutral color and will go with any home decor. It comes with an erasable black marker and you can write the place you will be, phone numbers, doctor info, hospital info, medications (really great when they are sick), allergies and any notes (such as no sweets before bedtime) on it. My sitter (Michelle) actually loved the idea of having one place to get information for Brianna and it gave her a sense of comfort. I wrote everything out prior to her arrival and kept it up on the fireplace mantel which would keep it visual at all times to Michelle. The Babysitter Place Tile is a great asset to both babysitte ...
CD by John Fogerty - Revival
2007-09-29 16:01:25
This is a review of the new CD by John Fogerty entitled Revival. It’s coming out October 2, 2007. The song “Dont’ You Wish It Was True” is getting a lot of play on the progressive radio station I listen to, but not on the mainstream stations that I’ve heard yet. Sometimes at my office they play the new and popular hits station, but nothing so far. Anyways, please check this out at www.amazon.com or anywhere else you can. This is a great song, a feel-good cd and well, it’s Fogerty, need I say more? ...
Halloween is around the corner!
2007-09-28 07:27:38
I obviously don’t live where most of you live so I don’t know what type of holiday resources you have. Where I live every year a store pops up in the local outlet mall called Halloween scene, except I never find anything good for my chubby BUT CUTE lil’ ol’ me.  So I was definitely thrilled when HalloweenExpress.com purchased a review from  us from ReviewMe.com. The first section I went through is the Adults couples section. Last year Fil and I did not dress up. However, incase someone is having a party I’d have costumes for us. On top of it I think it is disgustingly cute when couples dress up in similar costumes and I love to torture Fil. Heh. There is definitely some great costumes. My favorite were the Robinhood and Maid Marian. But they have a very wide collection. The best part is they also sell plus sizes. A lot of people either sell plus or they sell regular I have a hard time making sure its sold in just one spot. Or their plus sizes look like ...
Moon Sand: Better Than Play-Doh & Safer Than Clay
2007-09-27 17:57:13
When I was a lot smaller, I remember molding Play-Doh for hours on end. At that time, I probably had around 25 different containers of all the colors they had available plus colors Imixed to make new ones. But when looking around kid’s toy stores now, I see so many new and interesting toys, some resembling something so profound it would take a rocket scientist to get it out of the packaging. But some companies are still keeping toys simple and resembling what had preceded it, but with a little more flair. Moon Sand is a form of sand that has been formulated to mold. Now kids can have hours of fun, just like I used to have. But Moon Sand has taken the “before” product and unlike that, Moon Sand will never dry out and unlike clay, Moon Sand is a lot safer for kids to play with; it’s non-toxic and gluten-free. I looked through their site extensively and Moon Sand is incredibly inexpensive, and even have bulk amounts available for less than what the retailers sell for a dra ...

Rebe Matilde Bag
2007-09-26 16:56:42
As most of our readers know, we do a decent amount of reviews for handbags. However, I have found a company who really takes design to a new level. Rebe, a company offering apparel for moms, children, and babies, and accessories have a look that really impressed me. With more of a funkier look and feel, their Matilde bag is something I just had to get my hands on. The Matilde bag is described as an overnight sac, but can be used in many different ways, such as a diaper bag, for students and women in business or teaching who find themselves in need of something roomy and fashionable to keep all of their papers and possessions in, for traveling, and it can even be used as a laptop bag. (Rebe also makes bags specializing in carrying laptops with proper protection for your computer.) With so many different uses and such a different look from what is currently on the market now, I absolutely adore this bag. The best thing about Rebe, however, is that they are all one of a kind. When orderin ...

Baby Blankets with Mommy in Mind
2007-09-26 05:04:50
As all mommies and mommies-to-be know, as soon as you find out that you’re pregnant, you’re immediately scouring the internet and any store within driving distance for quality and affordable items for your baby. However, there is one item that occasionally slips our minds or either lack a certain personality, style, or sensibility. When it comes to baby blankets, there are often racks upon racks to choose from, but the struggle with babies and their blankies is one that happens quite often. While pushing your baby in their stroller down the street, how many times are you leaning down to pick it up off the ground after it gets knocked out? How many blankets do you have that don’t necessarily compliment your child (or your) person sense of style? At Secure2Me.com, they had thought about the same things. Secure2Me baby blankets are fashionable as well as practical. With mommies in mind, their luxurious blankets come with built-in clips to keep your baby covered and make ...
Catalog Shopping
2007-09-25 11:45:31
One of the biggest things I have a problem with is going through and finding the original website for that one catalog I saw way back when? Have you ever experienced that? My grandmother does that all the time! I wish I had a catalog for such and such company and then she waits to see if it comes in the mail. Well not anymore people! I love getting things in the mail other than bills. I love spam mail to the house. It makes me feel like I am not forgotten! haha. So when this website catalogs.com purchased a review from Reviewme. I was really excited because it means I will get tons and tons of mail that aren’t bills! So a lot of you are regular readers which means you know me and my love of shopping. Well this makes it even better. I checked out their clothing line catalogs.  I already spotted a few I definitely ordered some free catalogs from. Eddie Bauer, Cold Water Creek, Fabulous Furs… just because! But I am not allowed to buy them since I will pet them more than wea ...
MINT Credit Cards
2007-09-25 07:23:58
Credit cards. Those two, single words can cause terror in the minds of men and women alike every where, however, if you are a conscious and careful user of the credit card(s) you own, you may still be searching for the one company that gives you everything you are looking for in financial planning. If you carry a substantial amount of debt from an array of different companies, such as household bills, other credit cards, or shopping cards, one of the most effective ways to lightning the load of different companies to send payments to, is to transfer all of your debt to one card, making it easy to pay everything you owe off in one billing cycle. This is called a balance transfer and many companies will charge you a hefty percentage to transfer debt from one card to another. In fact, you could be paying on the monthly percentage rate when you think you are paying off your debt. MINT Credit Cards is a credit card designed for both types of credit card holders. The “convenience user”, ...
Starry Designs: Elegance & So Much More!
2007-09-24 22:46:51
I’ve never been one to own a lot of jewelry. In fact, I hardly ever wear it, except for a single sterling silver ring with three frogs across it that I got at a fair a few years ago. However, when I find jewelry that can compliment by personal sense of style, I’m hooked. While browsing through Etsy, a website dedicated to arts and crafts, jewelry making, and accessories while giving the creator a platform in order to sell their work, I came across Starry Designs. Starry Designs offers unique jewelry guaranteed to match any woman’s style, no matter what age group you fall into. They carry rings, earrings, bracelets, necklaces and pendants, as well as an incredibly exceptional line of rings and earrings that look like birds nests, which I was thoroughly impressed with. I received a birds nest ring, which is sterling silver with fresh water pearls, acting as the eggs of the nest. It is brushed for a more rustic and weathered look. When I opened the package, I was comple ...

Dance Crazy Video!
2007-09-24 19:23:22
As you can see they have several different types of videos to choose from. I think this is great for people who just want to learn one style of dance for their wedding dance or just for fun! As I mentioned before in previous dance resources Fil took ballroom dancing; which they have check it out just click the link!  I am very jealous o him. I have no rhythm. I can’t dance and like I’ve mentioned I think its kinda embarrassing to take these classes by yourself for me personally. If you have more guts than I do please go ahead! But trying to learn ballroom dance is difficult. I’d prefer not to step on some strangers toes, and Fil is not one to go with me. Although I think if I whine enough he will. Heh, I do know how to whine like the best of them . However even if he doesn’t want to go to an actual class. I think these videos are useful starters. I would definitely take these and learn basics and get better then maybe take a class or two to work on my postur ...
