Jacob Izrael: Even Louder
2007-07-16 01:01:00
Jacob Izrael is a God fearing gentleman who truly believes in the word of God. Jacob Izrael inherited such a name from the Holy Bible. Genesis 32:28 states, " Your name will no longer be Jacob, but Israel, for you have struggled with God and men and have overcome. "Iz" represents the prefix of the word Israel. According to Hebrew language the word Israel means to Struggle with God. The young inspiring/trend-setting Hip-hop artist, is back in action with his new full length disc "Even Louder". "Even Louder" is the follow up disc from Jacob Izrael's earlier Ep "Louder"(dropped 1st quarter of 2006). After creating such a buzz on the Internet and in the streets, J.I. decided to add more hits to this street classic "Louder". "I figured it was too early to give the public another Lp, so I came up with the concept of getting "Even Louder", Jacob Izrael. The earlier released featured artist such as: Playdough of DeepSpace 5, Knine, Sharlok Poems of L.A. Symphony. Adding more songs to this cla ...
Niyoki: My Everything
2007-07-13 03:50:00
NIYOKI (pronounced Nie-oh-kee): Her powerful name foretold her purpose in life. Her mother, who teaches high school students French and Spanish, gave each of her children meaningful names and this daughter was set on a path of purpose. NIYOKI means “serious minded and responsible” and this anointed songstress is serious about her commitment to spreading the gospel through song. With “MY EVERYTHING,” her solo debut as a gospel artist, NIYOKI is clear that she has been preparing for this project her entire life. This PK (Preacher’s Kid) who was raised in Fort Wayne, Indiana, began singing at the tender age of six years old. She comes from gospel’s The White Family, who not only sang for years all around the country, but also recorded five albums. Over time, Niyoki gleaned important vocal and performance skills, and has put this excellent training to good use. After years with the family’s gospel group, Niyoki and her sisters decided to venture out on their own, even ...
Song Of the week: 2 Hard by Mr. Del
2007-07-11 05:20:00
I have decided to start trying to put up a song of the week.I find so many new, unsigned, and/or independent artists out there that are very talented. Sometimes they don't have much info on them, they just have their song. And some times I have purchased an album that I think is so underrated and unappreciated. Or I feel that this artist is so talented, that they need to be showcased, or just have a wider audience. And Sometimes, I may just love that particular song. So with out Further Ado. Here is my first song of the week. Its off the newly released Album 'Hope Dealer' by Mr. Del which I personally think is a awesome album.Enjoy!Mr. Del MySpace ...
New Advertising Section And Top Site For Urban Christian Artists
2007-07-11 05:15:00
Photosource:Mari-GotoI've added a new advertising section on the Forum. I really want to help Urban Christian Artists get the word out about their music. But, I am not doing this for the Artist themselves. Even though I love this music, and support it, and feel that there are many talented, and anointed Artists. I am doing this for the youth, for God's young people. I want young people to know that there is all types of good, clean, and Inspirational music out there for them. And in my HONEST opinion, most of the urban Christian music is a lot more banging and soulful then the non-Christian. It just needs to be put out there more, it needs more avenues to showcase real "God Given" talent.Growing up I was really blessed to have a mother, who supported my music choices, she felt that as long as it was Inspirational, and positive, and (because there wasn't gonna be no cursing up in her house), then who cares if it was rap, or soul, or whatever else. And that in turn made me more open t ...
