In NY on Business

I arrived in NY for some business meetings. Today I was walking with my assistant and a bodyguard when some people kept calling my name. I told them, "Hello...goodbye." I know it sounds bad, but I was discussing some important business with my staff. I was also exhausted from the long flight.I would personally like to apologize to you. I hope you understand. I just didn't like the way you called me out. I try so hard to achieve some level of anonymity and you caused me to be bombarded with shouts and attention. There are days when I need my privacy and I'm sorry if you were offended. Once you reach a certain age are you not allowed to be adventurous? Are you not allowed to be sexual? Record Deal Rumours

I hope you are having a great weekend. It's not all fun and games for me, however. I am negotiating a new deal with my label. Ignore the rumours about me leaving the label. What I am doing is raising the price required to keep me at the label. It's a confusing process, but basically my management is talking to other companies and they are making astounding offers. WB will need to beat the best offer I receive in order to keep me on their label. One company has already offered me 180 million to leave and I am considering it; however, I really hope my label offers me more. I kind of like having my albums all on one label. I'm thinking about recording albums and then selling them to the highest bidding label though. I hope this helps you understand the rumours. Don't think anything is set in stone. I had this silly idea that I would spend some time with Guy on the set of his new film Rocknrolla. I thought it would be a good idea to watch him work. Who better to teach me about directing than my husband, the amazing director? Boy, was I wrong. This guy asked me what my adopted son's name is and before I had a chance to answer, a female crew member said, "Lucky Bastard!" I was crushed. I told her not to ever refer to anyone in my family as a bastard. I told her she was lucky. She never had to lose her mom and go through everything that David went through just to survive. People can really be cruel!Update: I received a nice card with her apologies. She really is sincere and didn't mean her comment the way it sounded. I forgave her. Yesterday I started filming some additional scenes for Filth and Wisdom. I know this is going to sound rude, but two fans (I think) kept obnoxiously saying hi to me while I was in the middle of a shoot. I told them hi back, but they just kept standing there glaring at me and waving. Can you imagine working under stress and not knowing if these people are stalkers or psycho?
