Double Album?

Would you purchase a double album? I now have enough songs for two albums. I recorded 10 with Timbaland and that doesn't include all of the other songs I've recorded with other producers. I can't wait for you to hear this one song I recorded. I'm calling it "La, La" at the moment. I mentioned soy latte in American Life and this song carries the topic further. You are going to love it! I'll probably pick the best songs and save some of the rest as bonus tracks for a future project. You never know; however, I may put out a double album yet! ...

My Hectic Schedule

The next year of my life is going to be nonstop hectic! I have to put the finishing touches on my album as well as promote it, etc. This album is really important as it is the final release on my current contract with WB!I hope to spend some quality time with my family before I begin this crazy schedule. Guy isn't too thrilled with my plans, but he knows how much this album means to my career. He will struggle through it with me. The children will be busy with school so this will free up my days.After the new record is released in November, I want to plan my next tour and hopefully I will release a 25th Anniversary Box Set. I'm also going to release 12 more children's books.And you thought your schedule was busy! ...

The head of Malawi's child welfare service is about to spend a week with my family in London to assess whether we are fit to adopt David permanently. We are so dreading this! They will spend up to five days at our house as part of a "home study". It is so sad that all of these rumours about nude photos and letters had to come out at this time. Kabbalah is always talked about in terms of white fire and black fire. Black fire usually refers to the actual world, what you see. The white fire is everything around it, what's between the lines. The Torah was written with letters of black fire upon a background of white fire!To get past the physical world, Kabbalah calls for exploring the Torah, the Zohar and other Judaic texts through the lenses of Kabbalah's four levels: action, formation, creation and nearness. My daughter is so anxious to begin work on her next science fair project. She is one of those children who loves school and learning in general. She has been pestering me to help her come up with an idea for this year. The only thing I could think of is to test Kabbalah water against tap water. I thought it would be cool to prove that plants grow better with Kabbalah water. She just rolled her eyes and said, "This is serious." I explained to her that I am being serious. What do you think? Meetings

The bad thing about the music industry is all of the meetings you must attend. You can't just record the album and turn it in. A girl must discuss promotion, artwork, hair, makeup, etc. It's an endless amount of work.Today's art direction meeting was no exception. I had this idea that I'd call the album simply "Black Star." The record company thinks that would stir up controversy. I told them, "Duh!" I pictured it having black and white photography with silver titles. We ended the meeting by agreeing to have yet another meeting. I must finalize the album title soon. My self-imposed deadline is my birthday. This is an important record to my music career. New Album Update

I just wanted to give you an update on the new album. I have recorded demos of all of the songs. I will be recording some additional vocals for four of the songs. Six of them I plan to redo the entire vocal because I have reworked the lyrics. I have some additional spoken lyrics for one song you'll love. I plan to go into the studio to finish it all up over the next 4 weeks. I'm still not satisfied with the mix on any of the songs (yet). Timbaland is going to freak! I want more bass! I want more layers! I want bells and whistles! I'm so picky, but you don't get to where I am without being that way!Rumours: I heard a rumour that my new album will be released on Oct. 29th. This is just not finalized yet. The date has not been set in stone yet. I do have a goal of November of this year. There is no guarantee that it will happen, but I expect it to! ...
