Coolio Set To Host Online Cooking Show

Beginning next year Coolio will be hosting a online cooking show called Cookin’ With Coolio. The show will be on mydamnchannel.com, which allows artists to create their own channels. XXL said this about the show:
Cookin’ With Coolio will be a weekly series in which the rapper will instruct viewers on how to cook healthy and affordable soul food dishes such as “Fall-Off-The-Bone Chicken” and “Soul Rolls.” Coolio will be flanked by two female sous chefs called The Sauce Girls, and is expected to host special celebrity guests.
“When it comes to the kitchen, I’m on a mission,” Coolio said in a statement. “I’m the neighborhood ghetto witch doctor superhero and I’m gonna make you forget about every other cooking show you’ve ever seen.”
Coolio also have a new reality show which is set to air on the Oxygen Channel called Coolio & the Gang.

Avant Inks Dea With Capitol Records

R&B crooner Avant has inked a new deal under Capitol Records.
After releasing four albums under Geffen Records, Avant left and decided to sign to Capitol.
“It feels good to sign with Capitol, they’ve shown that their dedicated to push their resources for my projects. I look forward to a long lasting relationship with many, many hit records”, said Avant.
Avant will drop the first single in March and his Capitol Records debut album is due out the summer of ‘08.

To commemorate the 20th anniversery of N.W.A’s Straight Outta Compton the LA Weekly re-ran the cover story of their May 5, 1989 issue which featured a indepth article about the group.

Chamillionaire will be appearing on Larry King Live tonight (Dec. 3) to speak on Don Imus’s return to radio.
Larry King Live airs at 9PM EST/6PM PST on CNN.
Don Imus made his return to radio this morning on WABC-AM. He was previously kicked off CBS Radio due to comments he made about the Rutger’s basketball team in April.

Update: Police Say Fabolous’s Friend Murdered For Chain Snatching

The NYPD now believe that Shamel “Money Mel” McKinney, Fabolous’s friend, who was stabbed to death at Duvet Nightclub in New York on November 23, was killed after trying to snatch jewlery off a man at the club. The New York Post said that McKinney was part of Fabolous’s Street Family crew, whom authorities say allegedly rob jewlery from celebrities at clubs. “These guys have no money,” a law-enforcement source said. “They go to New York to get paid, because that’s where the money is.”
Witnesses say that McKinney was stabbed while trying to break up a fight but authorities now have reason to believe that he was stabbed for trying to snatch jewlery at the club.
Fabolous denies being at the club but club promoter Andre Faria that the rapper was definetly there.

My 2 cents is that sex sells and if people dont like it change the channel. The issue is that they are just trying to go after Hip Hop, I don’t see people making a big deal about Fox News putting some softcore porn shit on their station. Women aren’t being forced to do these videos and magazine shoots and if their fine with being in it I don’t see why other people have to attack it. Like I always say on most issues in Hip Hop, their are other things which need to be dealt with before trying to attack a genre of music, the majority of African American’s live below the poverty line so fuck contemplating the objectification of women how about helping folks get out of the ghetto, Hip Hop didn’t make people poor.
