T.I. Denied Bail Again, Another Hearing To Be Held Oct. 26
2007-10-19 14:22:40
In federal court today (Oct. 19), a federal judge has denied the request of T.I.’s legal team to grant bond to the rapper.
According to the Atlanta Journal Constitution, T.I. lawyers had presented the $2.2 million bond request to U.S. Magistrate Alan Baverman this morning. Additional conditions of the bond would have included T.I. agreeing to stay in his home 24 hours a day and be subject to electronic monitoring, additional bonds backed by his record company, record company executives and the equity of his two homes.
Baverman denied bond but said he would hold another hearing next Friday (Oct. 26) to further consider the conditions set forth by T.I.’s lawyers.
“I haven’t decided on releasing him yet,” Baverman said, “I just haven’t heard the conditions yet and I’m not satisfied.”
The bond proposal from Harris’s (T.I.) lawyers included a $2.2 million bond with a cash deposit of $500,000; a $1 million signature bond signed by ...

Soul G’s Weekend Movie: Tsotsi
2007-10-19 08:58:37
Yeah, this is a Hip Hop and R&B Ezine/blog, so when you see this movie you’ll probably ask why the fuck did Soul G recommend this movie? Simply put, the shit is dope and I thought it would be better than recommending Scarface, Menace II Society, or Boyz N Da Hood.
Peep the plot: A young kid named David runs away from home and lives with other homeless children in large concrete pipes. He becomes a robber, known as Tsotsi, and is involved in a murder committed by one of the people in his crew. Tsotsi shoots a young woman in the process of stealing her car(she’s paid) and finds a three month-old baby in the back.
That’s all I’m going to give yall, go rent the shit! And make sure to tell me what yall think, ya digg?

T.I. Hires All-Star Lineup of Lawyers
2007-10-19 03:20:46
As TI fights federal gun charges he has brought on board two high profile lawyers Ed Garland and Don Samuel along with his current lawyers, Steve Sadow and Dwight Thomas. Garland represented NFL linebacker Ray Lewis, who in 2000 beat his murder case by pleading to a misdemeanor. The Atlanta-Journal Constitution said that the case might be complicated because of TI facing 3 felony charges along with a previous felony charge due to a crack cocaine dealing felony conviction. TI will be appearing in court on Friday however due to the indictment, federal prosecutors have probable cause, the hearing is to determine whether he is eligible for a bond.
TI faces about five or more years behind bars, if convicted, according to federal sentencing guidelines.
