Lupe Fiasco Taking ‘The Cool’ On Tour

Lupe Fiasco will be going on a one month tour to promote his new album The Cool. The tour will kick off in Portland on January 10th and will wrap up in New York on February 2nd. Before the tour takes off Lupe will be performing on December 18 in New York, NY for his album release and on December 27 he will peform in Honolulu, HI.
The tour dates are as follows (may change and more may be added):

Rap-A-Lot Founder J-Prince Suing Viacom, BET, & Apple

Rap-A-Lot founder and CEO James Prince and his associate Thomas Randle are suing BET, its parent company Viacom, and Apple over their portrayal on BET’s program ‘American Gangster’. The suit states that the two are not happy with the “defamatory statements” during advertising and promotion of the Chicago gang leader Larry Hoover. The suit states that during the advertisment a picture of Prince and Randle standing with Hoover was shown and implied that they were killers and that it has to the potential to hurt their professional careers. The suit also stated that Apple and Viacom refused to take down the show from Itunes and also pull it from the station. Prince and Randle are seeking preliminary and permanent injunctions barring the companies from publishing, broadcasting or selling the episode; as well as punitive damages for airing it in the first place.
