T.I. Files Motion To Host Thanksgiving Dinner

T.I.’s lawyers have filed two motions to allow T.I. to have host Thanksgiving Dinner. He asked that the three-visitor rule be waived from 9-6:30PM. T.I. has already handed over a list of guests who will need to have criminal background checks before being allowed onto the property. There will also have to be extra security to police the dinner which has has to pay for out of pocket by T.I. He will not allowed to consume liquor at all at the party even if the motion is granted.

Cheri Dennis Album Available On Itunes Months Before Release

Bad Boy artist Cheri Dennis debut album, In and Out Of Love will be released on Itunes November 13, 2007. It will be in stores February 26th, 2008. This will mark the first time a major label R&B artist gets a three month digital download exclusive via Itunes.
Her single “Remind You” is Itunes “Single Of The Week” and can be downloaded for free here.
“I am extremely happy and proud of the Cheri Dennis album,” says Harve Pierre, President of Bad Boy Entertainment and Co-Executive Producer of “In and Out Of Love.” “It’s been a long time coming and the timing couldn’t be better with this enormous iTunes promotion. Cheri will finally have the visibility that she needs and be recognized as an incredible soul singer.”
Cheri Dennis will go on a promotional tour in December and also go across the country for radio and press appearances.

Jay-Z To Tie With Elvis In #1 Records

If all goes as planned for Jay-Z, American Gangster will give him his 10th #1 album, tieing him with Elvis.
His last album, Kingdom Come, tied him with The Rolling Stones. It sold 680,000 the first week which is the rapper’s best sales to date, ironically it was regarded as his worst album by critics, fans, and Jay-Z himself.
Cassidy’s B.A.R.S. and Nas’s Greatest Hit’s are also in stores today.

Jay-z Pulls Album From Itunes

Jay-Z’s new album American Gangster will not be available on Itunes. Although it shows up under new releases if you try to purchase it you’ll just get an error message.
“As movies are not sold scene by scene, this collection will not be sold as individual singles,” Jay said in a statement.
American Gangster will be available for digital download, in its entirety, at rocafella.com, amazon.com and rhapsody.com.

Rocawear Inks Deal With Elizabeth Arden For Debut Fragrance

Rocawear and its parent company recently inked a deal with Elizabeth Arden.
The deal with Elizabeth will distribute fragrances, cosmetics, and skincare products under the Rocawear imprint.
“We are excited to partner with an industry giant such as Elizabeth Arden,” Jay-Z said. “The combination of their expertise in fragrance and our ability to affect popular culture will produce some incredible products and breathe excitement into the category.”
Iconix Brand Group, Rocawears parent company, purchased Rocawear for $210 million dollars in March of 2007.
Rocawear’s debut fragrance is due in stores fall of 2008.
