DMX Passes Out In The Studio; Drugs Blamed

DMX was hospitalized yesterday (Dec 20) after passing out at Sony Recording Studios.
According to the New York Daily News the black out was linked with drugs.

The Shakur family has put Tupac’s Hummer up for sale on Ebay. It has a starting bid of $200,000 and a Buy It Now price tag of $500,000. The car had previously been raffled off in BET’s “Picture Me Rolling” contest but was later sold back to the family.

Wu-Tang Letting Fans Decide Their Tour Plan

If you want the Wu-Tang Clan to stop by your town now is your chance. The Wu has teamed up with Eventful to allow fans to put in their votes for the 8 Diagrams Tour. Through the sites Eventful Demand service fans are able to create campaigns for their specific town urging artist/groups to schedule a local show. The Wu promised to visit the cities which reach 1,500 ‘demands’. “The Wu is back together, live and direct. All our fans have shown us mad love over the years, and we want to rock the cities that demand us the most. Much thanks to Eventful for letting us reconnect with our fans,” the group said in a statement. The Eventful competition began December 19, 2007 and will end February 1, 2008.

J Records Drops Ruben Studdard

The former “American Idol” winner Ruben Studdard has been dropped from J Records according to a rep from the label.
His debut album Soulful, which was released in 2003, is certified platinum. His gospel follow up I Need An Angel, also did well and reached gold status. His latest album The Return however was met with lackluster sales, moving barely 235,000 units.
According to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, he is set to play the Jazz pianist Fats Weller in a national theatre tour of Ain’t Misbehavin.
Studdard will be making a holiday appearance with his old band Just a Few Cats, at the WorkPlay soundstage this weekend in his hometown Birmingham, Alabama.

Rumors have been circling the internet that Karrine “Superhead” Steffans spits (rhymes yall, get ya mind out the gutter, plus yall know she dont spit, HAH!) and inked a deal with Eddie Murphy. The head doctor turned writer denied the rumor and said that she hasn’t even been looking for a record deal.
“I don’t sing or rap or anything,” Steffans said. “Funny.”
