The track will be transmitted through the Deep Space Network - a network of antennas - on the 40th anniversary of the song being recorded. It will be aimed at the North Star, Polaris, 431 light-years from Earth. In a message to Nasa, the former Beatle Sir Paul McCartney said the project was an "amazing" feat. "Well done, Nasa," he added. "Send my love to the aliens. All the best, Paul." Cover Versions of Nirvana's Smells Like Teen Spirit 2008-02-06 10:20:42 Came across this post on digg of a youtube video featuring The Ukulele Orchestra of Great Britain performing a cover version of Nirvana's Smells Like Teen Spirit http://digg.com/music/Smells_Like_Teen_Spirit_performed_by_ukulele_orchestra. Curiousity got the better of me as I'm sure for some Nirvana & Music Fans this would have Kurt Cobain turning in his grave. After internet searches I came across alot more cover versions of the songs - to a varying degree of quality. The Jury is still out for me regarding The Ukulele Orchestra. What do you think???
