Surge of Traffic in One Day
2007-07-27 13:05:00
I use to have a sitemeter in all of my sites, in order to record all the daily traffic, and the source of traffic. To me, I even prefer sitemeter to Google Analytics since sitemeter can provide a real-time traffic log whereas Analytics cannot. I can also know, from the sitemeter, the details of each traffic to my site, including the IP address, the entry page, the exit page etc.Alright, back to the original question. I have discussesed in my post about StumbleUpon previously. I am sure many of you know it is a social bookmarking system that, if you manage it properly, can bring a lot of traffic to your site (see my post on how to get the most from social bookmarking system). Today, when I logged in my sitemeter, I saw that there is a surge of traffic to my site within several hours. In hour 6, I even had 90 unique visitors coming to my site! That's nearly a half of the average traffic per day. So, that proves that Stumbleupon is a good traffic source and worth putting effort into it. ...
Adsense Arbitrage - Automation
2007-07-25 21:54:00
As we saw in part II AdSense Arbitrage: Keyword Selection, finding the right set of circumstances where AdSense Arbitrage is going to work requires a bit of work. You' ve got to get a large enough set of related keywords, get some prices, and then compare and look for the right opportunity. If you read Rae' s blog then you might remember her post on Legitimate Use of Mechanical Grunts, which is a perfect for this situation. However after you get the keywords, and prices you' re still going to have to sift through all that data. I was talking with Scott (aka Web Professor) last week and he pointed me in the direction of Standard deviation. Ok there is going to be a little math here, and it may look really scary and look like it's going to make your head hurt. Trust me it' s OK we can get through this really. I hate reading those long boring overly complicated search engine patents just as much as you do, so I'll keep things simple. The big formula is coming brace yourself … Ok I ...

Adsense Arbitrage - Selection of Keywords
2007-07-17 12:47:00
In part I Performing AdSense Arbitrage, we went over the basics of how AdSense arbitrage works. In this part we're going to roll up our sleeves and look at some actual keywords and see if we can find some areas where we might like to try some arbitrage. While high paying keyword lists may be somewhat useful it's important to understand how those lists are generated and some of their limitations (see Contextual Advertising with AdSense High-Paying Keywords, Part 2 (series) for a more in depth discussion). I like to start with the Overture bid tool, and if things look OK then go into Google Adwords tool. It's been my experience that with the AdWords keyword tool there is quite often a substantial difference between what they estimate I will pay and what I actually end up paying for a keyword. Now this could have something to do with the "quality score" variable Google doesn't share with you, or any number of other factors, but I don't put too much faith in the Google estimated prices ...

How to Perform Adsense Arbitrage -1
2007-07-14 12:05:00
If you frequent any of the AdSense forums chances are you've come across the phrase "AdSense Arbitrage", while it's been around for a while a lot of people don’t understand what it is, or how it works. While I'm not a big player in the arbitrage model I've been doing it profitably for a few months, so I can explain how I do it and share a few tips I've picked up. In part II AdSense Arbitrage: Keyword Selection I'll take you through some real keyword options, and in part III AdSense Arbitrage: Automation and Button Pushing I'll go over some ideas for automating the process I learned recently. To start let's take a high level view of what AdSense arbitrage is and how it works. The basic principle is to pay for a low price for keyword in an advertising program like AdWords, Overture Yahoo Search Marketing, or MSN AdCenter and direct users to a page with AdSense or another contextual advertising program on it that has higher payout. You can either bid low on the same term, looking ...

What is Private Label Rights Article
2007-07-12 23:42:00
Private label rights (PLR) articles are a very useful way to add search engine friendly content to your website. If you are familiar with Adsense, you must know that the content is very important in driving traffic to your site. I have written several post on how to obtain high-quality content for your blogs. PLR articles could be a good choice too. If you are building a large Google AdSense web site to make some money, then you need many articles that are search engine optimized with keywords. It could be quite boring for those who want to earn quick bucks from Google Adsense to write these articles themselves. In addition, the more articles you have that are optimized, the better results you will have from your AdSense web site. One of the way is to hire and employ some freelance writers to write unique articles for you. It normally cost you $5 per post. eLance is the website that enable you to hire writers that write specifically in the topic you wanted. That could still take you som ...

Cheque from Bidvertiser! A Comprehensive Review of Bidvertiser
2007-07-04 07:59:00
Remember I have just finished the viability test on Bidvertiser at the end of June? Many people at that time were curious why I am displaying Bidvertiser ads. Am I being banned by Google. And I have answered them in my previous post. The overall performance of Bidvertiser is not that good, as compared with Google Adsense. Google Adsense has several distinct features and advantages over the rest of PPC networks. First, Google is a well-known company that everyone knows about it. Its service is trust-worthy and must be not be a scam. Also, it has the top search engine that everyone is relying on and the scope of displaying ads is muh wider, even wider than its rival - Yahoo!. Because of these factors and advantages, advertisers are keen to pay and display ads in Google network. This makes the database of advertisers in Google to become so big that Google can still display highly relevant ads to your niche site. On the other hand, as from what I can see in Bidvertiser, the advertisers dat ...

Insert the digg Button into post
2007-06-28 12:02:00
If you have encountered digg, you must see the yellow digg button which shows how many people has dugg that post. It may be useful if you can insert a dig button into your post too! However, many tutorials only show you how to create Digg buttons for your blogs. Until recently, I saw one good post about the insertion of digg button, and hence want to share with you. What we need is a way to be able to append a Digg counter to each of our posts - individually. The actual Digg code that's provided at sites like the one above is always in SCRIPT form. Common sense would have us pasting that SCRIPT code directly into the Blogger post where we want our Digg button to go. This, if you've ever tried it, doesn't work. Blogger does not allow the SCRIPT tag in anything other than the Blogger template - which doesn't help us much.Below are the basic steps needed for digg button insertion:1. Copy this code.2. Go find your Digged post URL (Take this post for example, http://www.dagsensecodes.com ...
