You cold, or is it me?
2007-03-11 08:50:17
Rob sent me this bizarre little Frisk commercial last weekend and although a part of me is kinda repulsed by it, the other part thinks it’s really funny. The parts combined know it was definitely targeted at a male audience … but I’ve decided I like it anyway (the feminist fury seems to be waning).
I particularly enjoyed his moment on the turn tables :-)

One before I hit the road
2007-03-10 08:19:26
Congrats to Audi for this one. Pretty awesome that they can take a swipe at so many competitors in one short clip.
It's the weekend, it's hot in Cape Town and I'm ready to hit the beach, so without any further ado:

Canine Suicide
2007-03-10 07:20:38
Now this clip has it all – love, romance, betrayal, and a manically depressed dog. Strange how easy it is to sympathise with the plight of this poor pooch. Not that I've been in his position before but the mutt has such an expressionful face. He really tugs at the heart strings.
Kind of like a canine Tom Hanks. Ok that sucks – I just tried to think of a single actor who successfully tugs at the heart strings and I thought of Tom Hanks. What's wrong with me? I only thought of him because there was nobody else and I chose somebody at random. Guess I must be emotionally bankrupt then. Although I did get teary eyed watching Pulp Fiction the other day, but that was more from laughing than anything else.

Quirk launches finance blog for Web2.0
2007-03-09 10:08:26
Quirk has launched a second blog, dedicated to the world of finance and business - including its interaction with Web 2.0. Banks are a primary target for criticism for their customers, and online media is a particular hotbed. At www.quirk.biz/financeforum, we will be sharing our thoughts on this as well as highlighting some of the juicer reputational slips and successes for Financial Institutions. There will also be some stimulating reflection and debate on South Africa and the World more generally.
We look forward to your visits, agreements and disagreements!
