I am torn with this ... I want to say let every teacher have a gun... but I know that wouldnt be wise. I think the best solution is to have personell inside the school armed with guns. Essentially school police that actually have guns. Not just non-lethal crap. For some reason I react differently in my mind when I hear this come from Petraeus...The top U.S. general in Iraq outlined plans Monday for the withdrawal of as many as 30,000 troops by next summer, drawing praise from the White House but a chilly reception from anti-war Democrats. Get ready to pay out the arse for that sweet lovable crude...Crude oil prices on Tuesday jumped above $78 a barrel as the Organisation of the Petroleum Exporting Countries Opec started to discuss in Vienna a small production increase in an effort to cool high oil prices and reassure industrialised countries. Prices rose to $78.32 a barrel in New York, just below the all-time high of $78.77 a barrel reached in early August, before easing to $77.71. I recall very recently people were saying McCain was all but done entirely with this race... but is he coming back while Rudy falls? For the past several months, almost nothing had gone right for Sen. John McCain. His once-leading presidential campaign hemorrhaged top staff and teetered on the brink of bankruptcy. His immigration-reform bill antagonized key conservative constituencies. He tumbled precipitously in the polls, and top political commentators all but wrote him off as a contender. Uh oh... more US sports scandals? Sweet... and this one is juicy! I hope they were cheating and if they were --- who would be surprised? Genius and I am sure the other teams will just have to be MORE careful when they cheat --- because I am sure there are many doing this. And the fact that this is not the first time they are being accused of this makes this very Larry Craig-esque....The Patriots' cameraman was suspected of aiming his camera at the Jets' defensive coaches who were sending signals to their unit on the field, the sources said. I am starting to feel bad for her... I mean they are literally ripping her to shreds out there!It was meant to be Britney Spears's return to showbusiness after months when it looked like she was on the brink of self-destruction. With a good performance she may even have been able to slow the decline in her record sales and put her personal troubles behind her. The second Osama bin Laden video has been release tactfully on the anniversary of Sept. 11th. Osama bin Laden will appear for the second time in a week in a new video to mark the anniversary of the Sept. 11 attacks, presenting the last will and testament of one of the suicide hijackers, al-Qaida announced Monday.Laura Mansfield is covering this developing story...A new tape from Osama Bin Laden has been released by As Sahab. The video is entitled "The Wills of the Heroes of the Raids on New York and Washington. The Will of the Martyr (as we see him) Abu Mus'ab al Shehri With a forward by Sheikh Osama bin Laden, may Allah protect him". The video, 47 minutes 16 seconds in length, features an introduction by Osama Bin Laden.
