Do not mess with MoveOn.org...
2007-09-15 03:15:00
Do not question their athoritau.... And oh thats right this is sooooooooooo unfair because there are no elite groups of crazy conservatives with lots of money... right! I love how Bill Oreilly has taken on these online groups and seen how little power he really has. He really thought he was all high and mighty... god I hate that fucker. There is no mistaking the influence of MoveOn.org, with its 3.2 million members and powerful fund-raising apparatus, within the Democratic Party. This liberal activist group has come to occupy a prominent seat at the table among the party elite, so much so that Republicans leaped at a chance to hold Democrats and their presidential candidates responsible for MoveOn’s positions after it ran an advertisement attacking the credibility of Gen. David H. Petraeus.Be sure to stop by for more later...

The up-side of global warming... artic ocean passable...
2007-09-15 03:05:00
It is actually going to be very interesting to see the things that come with global warming... I know this isn't the best attitude - but I did hear the NASA guy say how do we know that it wont be a better thing to warm the earth up a little bit -- but that logic is interesting. I am all for going green of course and doing our best to stop the negative affects but for parts which are too late it will be an interesting ride on this earth as this happens around us...LONDON (Reuters) - The Arctic's Northwest Passage has opened up fully because of melting sea ice, clearing a long-sought but historically impassable route between Europe and Asia, the European Space Agency said.Sea ice has shrunk in the Arctic to its lowest level since satellite measurements began 30 years ago, ESA said, showing images of the now "fully navigable" route between the Atlantic and the Pacific.A shipping route through the Northwest Passage in the Canadian Arctic has been touted as a possible cheaper option to t ...

Bush the Jihadist: How the world was plunged into an apocalyptic war
2007-09-15 02:46:00
This is an incredible article...Today, Iran has become the prime target of Bush's ideological mission. He recently trumpeted: "We will confront this danger before it is too late. Either the forces of extremism succeed or the forces of freedom succeed. Either our enemies advance their interests in Iraq, or we advance our interests." In this inflamed rhetoric, echoing his rants in 2002 and 2003 about Saddam Hussein and his alleged development of weapons of mass destruction, we can hear the louder and louder beat of war drums. It therefore seems that the disastrous consequences of American interventions in Iraq and Afghanistan have taught Bush nothing. Nor has he learned the harsh lesson from history that launching a war in order to achieve an ideological objective can lead to horribly unintended consequences. Hitler expected a sixweek walkover when he invaded the Soviet Union in 1941, only for the war to end four years later with his suicide in the ruins of his own capital, Berlin. The ...

Google --- The heart of the internet at age 10...
2007-09-15 02:41:00
They are absolutely amazing. I have such a great admiration for that company. LOL, I am sure Yahoo! is not laughing at this article... although Yahoo! has caught my eye lately with their TV listings, bookmarks, new hot email and their new social site! They are kicking some ass as well!NEW YORK (AFP) - Born 10 years ago, the Google Internet search engine has grown into the electronic center of human knowledge by indexing billions of web pages as well as images, books and videos. On September 15, 1997 Larry Page and Sergey Brin, two 24 year-old Stanford University students, registered the domain name of "google.com." The word is a variation of 'googol,' which refers to the number 10 to the power of 100, a term popularized by US mathematician Edward Kasner.Be sure to stop by for more later...

Team Washington / Oregon
2007-09-15 02:13:00
A great article about our amazing section of the country... the best section in-fact.In July 2000, I sold my advertising and public-relations firm to a large New York City agency. And, even though I grew up on the East Coast, I was still surprised how unaware the rest of the country is about the Northwest. To many we are still the land of rain, volcanoes and lumber. Say "Seattle area" to an East Coaster and the answer is not, "Oh, that is where Microsoft (or Starbucks or Boeing) is located"; rather, it is more likely to be, "Oh, it rains a lot there." In general, people don't know our summers are magnificent, our people the epitome of civility and that we have three national parks within two hours of downtown Seattle. The mindset does resemble that famous New Yorker magazine cover many years ago in which a schematic map of the U.S. gave about 10 percent of the land mass to the area west of the Hudson.Be sure to stop by for more later...

Behind the green curtain of Iran...
2007-09-13 13:58:00
The tension is mounting...Today, political scientists say an equally divisive “Green Curtain,” green being the color of Islam, has fallen over the Middle East. Like its predecessor, this dividing line may set the tone for the region well after American troops are ordered back to their bases in Iraq and, most likely, forgotten.Be sure to stop by for more later...

2007-09-13 13:40:00
Badass... Looks cool too. These stories are getting excitingly common...A lightweight solar-powered plane has smashed the official world record for the longest-duration unmanned flight. UK defence firm Qinetiq, which built the Zephyr unmanned aerial vehicle, said it flew for 54 hours during tests. The researchers believe it is the first time a solar-powered craft has flown under its own power through two nights. Be sure to stop by for more later...

Britney freaked out minutes before the VMA performace...
2007-09-13 12:58:00
Britters, you silly little girl. I wish I could have been there to see this shit --- or at least someone should have filmed it! “She went into a wild rage and started lashing out at everyone - including her stylist.” Britney Spears lost her cool moments before her hopeless MTV Video Music Awards performance, for she went ballistic at her hairdresser after having a look at her hairdo for the show. Sources claim that Britney’s rage had reached to such an extent that she had to be given anti-depressants by her doctor. Be sure to stop by for more later...
