 Ninja Monkeys!
Whatever catches our internet-shortened attention spans will probably be propped up here as a decoy to lure your boredom out in the open, where we’ll silently glide out of the shadows and slit it’s tedious throat. Because we care. |

Dove at first sight
2007-09-14 08:26:10
It’s a tale straight out of Disney – an abandoned baby monkey, close to death, is revived by the love of a bird.
The 12-week-old macaque was rescued on Neilingding Island, in Goangdong Province, China, after being abandoned by his mother.
Taken to an animal hospital, he was weaned back to physical health but still showed little appetite for life.
It was not until a fellow patient, a white pigeon, took him under her wing and showed him love and affection that he perked up.
Now the two are inseparable, say staff. Link

How to blog effectively for business
2007-09-14 02:34:58
Follow the example of Trizle. Their blog doesn’t even mention what they do, all it does is provide useful information to entrepreneurs (their target market) with unexpectedly offbeat and entertaining writing. People expect business blogs to be boring and dull, so surprise them by being remarkable!
Be remarkable. If it’s not new and unique, it’ll disappear in the noise of the internet.
Provide useful information. People care about themselves, not your business, so give them something they need for free before selling yourself.
Don’t push your products, push your target markets’ dreams.
Appeal to your readers’ senses, with visual, auditory, and tactile language and images.
And most importantly, don’t be afraid to experiment until you find what works with your audience.

TiddlyWiki: wiki in a webpage with no server needed
2007-09-14 01:51:22
TiddlyWiki is an example of incredibly innovative coding. It’s a self-contained Wiki built with CSS and Javascript that doesn’t need a database, because it saves all your edits inside the same HTML file it executes from. Ingenious and useful in so many situations where the standard web application&database paradigm doesn’t fit. Great stuff!

Run Fatboy Run trailer
2007-09-07 08:32:48
I’ll probably watch anything Simon Pegg is in, because he’s the funniest British actor around these days, especially if you like understated Brit humour like me. If you liked Shaun of the Dead, Hot Fuzz, and Spaced, you’ll love this trailer. Wonder when it’ll be released in SA?
And as if we weren’t wasting enough of your time, here’s the game as well.

Ultimate Survival?
2007-09-07 08:26:50
Not quite, more like a guy eating things my dog wouldn’t touch.
A new season of Ultimate Survival has just started on the Discovery Channel. Watch Bear Grylls crunching bugs, eating worms and tearing into zebra flesh in this disgusting promo video.
For the real ultimate survival, go watch I Am Legend. When you’re the last man on earth survival is difficult enough, but throw a horde of vampires in and hilarious comedy is guaranteed…sortof.

The most awe-inspiring video you’ll see this week
2007-09-07 03:40:09
This lion was reared by the guys in the vid, he was then released into the wild in Africa but a year later the guys returned to see if he was doing OK.
Check out the look on the lions face as he realises-”thats not food its my MATES!!”
What’s mad is the wild lions he’s friends with never met the humans but they are totally passive towards them.

Man Cut in Half Lives to Walk Again
2007-09-07 02:14:28
Respect. Peng Shulin gets cut in half by a transport truck in 1995, and not only does he survive and regain full use of his arms, he’s now learning to walk again with the aid of his new bionic legs and walker. The rest of us have absolutely nothing to complain about today!

Spiders on drugs
2007-08-30 04:28:55
In the 1960s, Dr. Peter Witt gave drugs to spiders and observed their effects on web building. This short film about the results of the experiment was created by First Church Of Christ, Filmmaker.
Funny as hell.
