Safe Skin Care & The Critical Need For Safe Skin Care Products
2008-07-14 11:41:33
Naturally, we all want a young and gorgeous face but too often we don't think about the consequences of our skin care regime. What we absolutely MUST focus on is safe skin care. After all, is it really worth it to spend time and energy creating a smooth & unwrinkled face - but destroy our health doing it? When I focused on finding safe skin care products, I thought it would be fairly easy. WRONGO! "Why Do You Say My Skincare Products Aren't Safe? I Buy Everything From Well Known Brands & National Companies." Fact: we can’t always trust what the ads say. For example, can you look at this list and guess what each one has in common? * Turtle oil * Chicken embryo * Horse blood * Pigskin * Human placenta * Pig brains * Cow amniotic fluid These are raw materials actually used in certain beauty products! Who Is Responsible For Overseeing Safety In The Skin Care Industry ...
American Anti Aging Association = Internet Scam???
2008-07-11 17:58:35
While doing research on natural skin care products, I came across a website for the 'American Anti-Aging Association' which claims to be "a non-profit organization dedicated to cutting through all the false claims and scams that have been quite prominent in the Anti-Aging industry as of late, and exposing to the customer the most beneficial and effective cream available on the market today." However, this site seems to be an Internet scam. Suspicious Observation #1: Why would I say that? Well, first of all, have you ever heard of an association with its own building, as on the right, that would only research one product - an anti-aging cream? If they truly tested 200 creams, that would be a very impressive study indeed. But their report is quite strange: " ...we gave 300 volunteers one of the top anti-aging creams from around the world . Each cream's test group contained 15 women and 5 men between the ages of 35 and 65, and were instructe ...
Anti Wrinkle Face Cream & Antiaging Skin Care Products
2008-07-10 10:35:06
Most of us - no, make that ALL of us - aren't exactly fond of the idea of looking and getting older. Since our face is one of the most important barometers of age, most women and many men become interested in an anti wrinkle face cream. Wrinkles are The Enemy and we all want to either avoid them or get rid of the ones we have. Current wisdom says that wrinkles are "inevitable", although I'm not so sure about that. But at least for now, wrinkles (or "fine lines", as they are euphemistically called) seem to be inevitable. The exact age we get the darned things depends on lots of factors, primarily sun exposure. But our lifestyle can be an asset or a plus. Not sleeping enough, eating garbage, over-reacting to everything that comes along takes its toll on our skin for sure. A most popular alternative these days is surgery. Personally, the idea of someone cutting on my face gives me the serious creeps, but lots of folks disagree. And if those are to ...
Ab Exercises From An Online Personal Fitness Trainer?
2008-07-08 08:31:52
Ab exercises are a "must have" for me. I've been (unsuccessfully!) fighting a protruding tummy for the last few centuries. Ryan Lee of Body Bot has quite a few exercises on his new program and I'm faithfully following through. Will they work? Don't know yet, but I'm hopeful. Ryan promises results in as little as four minutes per day, which sounds really ... ridiculous. We're hypnotized almost from the womb to believe in "no pain, no gain". But what if that's wrong? What if we don't have to suffer? Hear that? It's the sound of heavenly bells, if that's true. Ryan is not only an online personal fitness trainer. He was written up in Men's Fitness Magazine hails as the investor of "The World's Fastest Workout". I did some research into this fascinating subject and found that Ryan based his 'quickie fitness' on the work of a Japanese professor named Tabota. The gentleman was apparently getting some fantastic results doing four mi ...
An Online Personal Fitness Trainer Instead Of Exercise Videos?
2008-07-07 08:42:35
If you're looking for an online personal fitness trainer, you might be interested in a site I recently joined. It's truly unique and it's called Body Bot. It's so darned hot right now {we're not called Hotlanta for no reason} that I really don't want to go outside and walk. So I've been trying to keep up some sort of training schedule inside and this option is working very well for me. Let me tell you some of the reasons I like it. If you've ever tried to use exercise videos you will probably share some of my frustration. When you're trying to learn the movements, the teacher {and his awesomely fit 20 year old class members who make me feel like Sydney Slug} often race through the directions. The teacher explains, does 400 reps and then moves on while I'm still trying to figure out what (s)he is talking about! {"Does my left arm go over my head to the right at a 45 degree angle or ...?} The Fabulously Fit have moved on to exercise seven while I'm ...

See proof that one of the most expensive skin care products in the world ($1500 for .03 ounces! ouch!) is LOADED with dangerous and carcinogenic chemicals ... A comparison of a Perricone product that costs $90 - while MY version is less that $5 and made especially for me ... Beauty Tips About Natural Cures & Remedies
2008-07-05 07:14:22
If you look around your home, you will most likely find three products that are excellent for antiaging skin care. We all want beauty tips that we can act on without spending much money and these are both inexpensive and effective, if only in a limited way. The best part if that they're natural cures, instead of using "better living through chemistry". Beauty Tip #1: Use Apple Cider Vinegar Apple cider vinegar is a famous remedy, having been documented as a favorite in ancient Greece. Julius Caesar fed his armies a concoction of vinegar and water because he believed this beverage would enhance their strength and preserve their health. Japanese Samurai warriors, Alexander the Great's troops and even Marie Antoinette all raved about this marvelous liquid. Be aware, though, that the vinegar sold in the traditional grocery is often so processed that it has little use as a beauty product. To get its full benefits, it's necessary to use real apple cider vinegar w ...
The Red Pill or The Blue Pill?
2008-07-04 07:32:02
"You take the blue pill, the story ends, you wake up in your bed and believe ... whatever you want to. You take the red pill, and stay in Wonderland, and I show you how deep the rabbit hole goes."* Which pill would YOU take? It's the red pill for me. * From Morpheus to Neo in The Matrix ...
Anti Aging Skin Care: Personal Success With Antiaging Skin Care
2008-07-03 05:01:57
Naturally, we all want to look as good as we can, for as long as we can. So almost everyone over the age of eight is interested in anti aging skin care. But honestly, that term bothers me considerably. Why must we be "anti" much of anything? Many years ago Mother Teresa was asked to participate in a march against the Viet Nam war. She refused - but said she would be pleased to particpate in a march for peace. However, if I used the term "pro-youthing", I would most likely receive blank looks and a "Say, what?". OK, rant over. Here is a video I made about MY skin and what's happening to it. I'm a proud 65 - no, make that a damn proud 65 - and I'm thrilled to report all kinds of positive changes to my skin and face. If you're interested in (to use the common terms :-) antiaging skin care, then watch it and answer the question below ...   ...
Organic Skin Care: Serious Skin Care Is Organic Skin Care
2008-07-02 07:06:03
There is no doubt that we humans are awash in dangerous, hideous chemicals. It's also certain that nobody - NOBODY - has a clue about the long term effects of this chemical bath. So if you're interested in serious skin care, you definitely must consider organic skin care. In fact, our report "Incredibly Dangerous Chemicals You NEVER Want On Your Face", which comes as a bonus report with out natural skin care CDs, will give you a list of horrors to run from as fast as possible. Like some of the vile chemicals below. To illustrate how bad it is, let's look at a very famous skin care product - that is definitely NOT organic. It's Peau Magnifique, one of the most expensive skin care products in the world at $1500 for .03 ounces! Ouch! Now you might think that, for that price, everything you're getting is good for your health, body and skin. Wrong-o, Lone Ranger. Not so at all. Here are ingredients in Peau Magnifique. The really hideous ones are in re ...
Low Fat Muffin Recipes: Pumpkin Cranberry
2008-07-01 12:00:40
Low fat muffins are a big favorite of mine. In fact, EVERY carb is a huge favorite! I should be named The Carb Queen. It would certainly be accurate. ;-) I have lots of muffin and bread recipes and am always experimenting with new ones. This is, in fact, one of those new ones and I like it. Reminds me of autumn which is my favorite time of the year. If pumpkins and cranberries aren't autumn, what is? Even my son liked these and he's very wary and suspicious of "mom's weird food". Before I give you the recipe for these low fat muffins - actually NO fat muffins - it's important to note something ... when we make breads that are low in fat, or in this case have no fat at all, their texture definitely isn't like cake. It's good ole fat that makes breads like cake. How I eat these is by heating one (or two, or three - just kidding. Not quite that greedy!) up and putting on some of the jam or jelly that's made with fruit juice. Please, please, please avoid that a ...
Peak Experiences Brought On By Nature: Bird Watching, Part 3
2008-06-30 07:56:57
We've been talking about having peak experiences brought on by nature through the use of bird watching. However, it's important to remember that we're not the only species on the planet that enjoys peak experiences. We've turned our backyard into a "bird watching stage" simply by throwing wild bird seed out onto the back patio. While the humans who live here enjoy the birds, our cats Arwyn and Agatha possibly enjoy them more. Our cats are total wussies. They're house cats and would last outside 'in the wilds' for approximately 43 seconds. Agatha, especially, is scared of everything. Yet they sit on the chair we've set up for them and glare at the birds for hours on end. Sometimes we hear a low, threatening rumble come from their chest and we know they are threatening the birds with dire consequences if they every get ahold of them. The truth is that if they did get close to a bird who flapped and flew at them, they'd be so panicked they would set a worl ...
Peak Experiences Brought On By Nature: Bird Watching, Part 2
2008-06-29 07:43:09
One of our peak experiences brought on by nature involves bird watching . Among our very favorites are cardinal birds, pictured left. In the wild, often the most beautiful and most vividly colored birds are males. Scientists hypothesize that their job is to attract predators and lead them away from the nest. The fine fellow on the left is certainly a gorgeous bird. We see these little dudes every single day outside our kitchen windows because we feed the birds with seeds that we purchase. Anyone can do the same, but please be aware that this isn't a decision to make lightly - at least, not for responsible, wise people. The birds come to depend on our seed supply and it's not to continue once you start feeding them. This is especially true in the cold months because birds make the decision not to migrate because of a plentiful supply of seeds on our back patio. Therefore, if we quit feeding them, they might easily starve to death. If you decide you no longer want to feed birds, wean ...
Peak Experiences Brought On By Nature: Bird Watching, Part 1
2008-06-28 06:04:39
This site is about bliss and a big part of that bliss is getting out of our heads, about letting go of the idea that we're just a tiny little mind in a huge & indifferent universe. And for thousands of years, humans have accomplished this through peak experiences brought on by nature. Bird watching is definitely a way that I can become entranced and forget all the normal thinking patterns. Our bright little flying friends have done this for humans for ... well, probably as long as we've been around. The easy way to watch birds, of course, is to lure them into your own back yard. Serious bird watchers plan their entire yards just for this purpose, but it's not necessary to go that far. So what do we have to do to encourage the birds? Obviously, the #1 consideration from a bird point of view is food. Plants that offer berries are especially welcome but cones and seeds are in high demand, too. In our yard, there are usually many pine cones and they offer bird food from fall until ...
Organic Face Cream, Part 2
2008-06-27 18:50:11
One reason that organic face creams are superior is because they aren't loaded with preservatives. A great example is the Dr. Denese Vitamin C serum to the left. I was using this on my face - until I discovered that often these cosmetics are made YEARS before we get our hot little paws on them! Vitamin C, in particular, should be fresh because it is easily oxidized. If this has occurred, the vitamin C serum will turn yellow gold ... well, take a close look at the cotton ball. Looks like an egg, doesn't it? That means I was using that stuff on my face. My goal, of course, was to improve my face and I was unwittingly harming it. In our CDs on natural skin care products, we show you how to make your own organic face cream. It's not only as healthy and organic as you wish to make it, but it's much cheaper than the brand name products. Please understand that this is the only way for YOU to have the power, for YOU to be in charge. If you don't know what's in this stuff, you are going ...
