You could only wear white between May 31 and Labor Day. Of course, these days, there really aren't any hard and fast rules. You can wear white this week or next and not have to worry about being written up by some sort of Fashion Police. But as the weather chills in the weeks to come, some prints, like today's VPODs, will look much more appropriate than say, Lilly Pulitzer florals. The same holds true for a quick browse on eBay. But if you have patience and wait it out, you are sure to eventually spy something with a little extra pizzazz, a little je ne sais quoi. According to one source, his pleats were created by evaporation when wet and folded silk was laid on heated tubes.
