Michael was thrown into a Panamanian prison called Sona, Sara looked like a goner, and even the future of conflicted FBI Agent Alexander Mahone (William Fichtner) seemed in doubt. When we last saw his Michael Scofield character and three cohorts, they were in a Panamanian prison after having being on the run for months.
