Exclusive Interview: 'Prison Break' Star Jodi Lyn O'Keefe
2007-10-01 16:17:00
Hi, this is John from Buddy TV, and I'm talking to Jodi Lyn O' Keefe, one of the new stars of FOX's Prison Break. Hi, Jodi.Hi, how are you?I'm OK. Now, how did you get cast in this role, was it just a straight audition process? It was. I've worked for FOX for many years, but I've mostly done comedy for them, and I don't know how I ever got so lucky as to get in that room. But I did and here I am, it's been a blessing, the whole thing.Your character works for the Company, the mysterious organization…The mysterious organization that nobody reports to and no one knows about.Exactly. How much did they tell you? Like when you got this role, how much do you know about it, that audiences who just watch it don't?Very little, you'd be surprised. I am told on a need-to-know basis, pretty much like my character. So when things are happening and there are things I need to know about, they let me know.Is it difficult then to play it? To think about who this character is, when you don't ...

Prison Break's Wentworth Miller: "Michael Is Twisting in the Wind"
2007-10-01 08:48:00
Wentworth Miller, Prison Break 's heartthrob Wentworth Miller talked with TV Guide about the new season (airing Mondays at 8 pm/ET, Fox), how he keeps up with the villains and the possibility of a happy ending. TV Guide: What's it like being back in jail after a season on the run?Wentworth Miller: I think it adds something to the show. The first season had a claustrophobic feel, an intimacy — like a space you wanted to break out of. The second season, you never knew what you were going to get, which served the series. TV Guide: Is it hard being on a show that reinvents itself each season?Miller: That's the good news. I love shows like Law&Order and The Closer, procedural dramas where the only thing that changes week to week is how the victim dies. They're self-contained and there is justice meted out in the end. But if I were on one, I might get burned out after a few seasons. We pride ourselves on taking risks, but they are risks — you might turn your show into somethi ...

Sarah Wayne Callies on her Motherhood
2007-10-01 08:47:00
TV Guide: You are now a young mother, congratulations! You do not appear in the first episodes of season 3, and there are rumours that you won’t be back. Can you tell us more about it? SWC: I said to the show’s writers that I’d prefer my character to be killed rather than having to play an insignificant part in the show. I can’t tell you more for the moment, though. ...

'Prison Break' Star Wentworth Miller is Still Not Gay
2007-09-28 09:48:00
Good news girls, Wentworth Miller still isn't gay. This seems to be one of those rumors that just will not go away. One day Miller is caught wearing the same color pants as his buddy Luke MacFarlane, the next day the wire is ablaze with insinuations and fashion advice for the Prison Break star. For a guy who just can't seem to get a break when it comes to the question of his sexual alignment, Miller still manages to dismiss the question pretty professionally.Who knows when the rumor started, but it seems to be a game of Miller waiting to see if it will die down on its own, and if not he will confess to some media meat market that he is, in fact, straight as an arrow and even wants to have kids some day. Blame Prison Break for him not having much of a social life. The latest denial was made to the UK news source, Digital Spy. In an interview, Miller answered rumors that he was romantically involved with MacFarlane by saying “I'm not gay, but that rumour can't be killed. I'd l ...

Prison Break advert projected onto wall of real prison
2007-09-28 09:36:00
I have ranted previously about the ridiculous amount of advertising Sky One have done in support of their new acquisition Prison Break. But now the station has gone and done something bizarrely impressive in their need to tell the world they now own the rights to the jail saga: projected an advert onto the wall of infamous prison Wormwood Scrubs. I doubt that many of the inmates will be able to sample the delights of Michael Schofield’s antics, but there’s no faulting the ambition behind the scheme. I do wonder how many people saw it and purposefully booked their spot on the sofa in front of Prison Break due to the promotion and how many onlookers just gave a casual shrug and wandered on. Did you see it and what did you think? Fantastic and innovative marketing or pointless showing-off? It seems reminiscent of when Gail Porter had her nakedness cast over the House of Commons, but with slightly more purpose and less flesh. Maybe they should get star Wentworth Miller to strip off ...
