The Return of KITT: Name That Voice 2007-12-27 08:00:26 Get ready for the return of yet another old storyline. Knight Rider is coming back to TV on NBC in February 2008. Initially there will just be a made-for-TV movie, but then if that goes well it’ll be followed up by a full blown series. I don’t know about this one. I typically don’t go for the ol’ stand on someone else’s ideas to make money approach so I’m likely rather biased here. What I do like is who they got to voice KITT. Heroes: More Evolutions Online Stories + New Drucker Video 2007-12-26 08:29:35 Getting through the holiday season can be tough, especially with all the reruns, not to mention the ongoing strike compounding the problem. Lucky for you Heroes keeps putting more stories up online to watch, read, and enjoy. I get the feeling a lot of this content is getting missed by the show’s fans which is a shame because they’re putting a lot into the ideas. I guess that’s where all their storyline creativity went this season! My Review: Awesome. I loved National Treasure and I loved National Treasure Book of Secrets. It wasn’t quite as good as the first but darn near close. National Treasure is the Indiana Jones of the 21st century. Unlike Indiana Jones though, the second movie wasn’t a bust. Weekend Movie Box Office Earnings: December 21 - 23, 2007 2007-12-24 08:00:45 I don’t think it will surprise anyone that Nicolas Cage’s sequel “National Treasure 2″ stomped the movie playground with a mighty $45.5 opening weekend. What I do think will be the big story is the seemingly infallible Judd Apatow’s comedy flop “Walk Hard: The Dewey Cox Story” which barely pulled in $4.1 million for 8th place in its debut at the theaters. While Apatow didn’t direct “Walk Hard” he did produce and co-write it with the film’s director, Jake Kasdan and the commercials and posters were all sure to include Apatow’s name. So despite earning a “fresh” rating with 77% approval on Rotten Tomatoes something clearly went wrong here. My biggest hang up was John C. Reilly and as the lead role he’s got a big responsibility here. I’d still like to see this movie but will probably wait for a DVD release. Peter Jackson set to begin work on The Hobbit and a Sequel 2007-12-20 08:00:59 Now the Peter Jackson and New Line Cinemas have kissed and made up Jackson is set to begin working on the Hobbit and the sequel. ‘What?’ you say, “A sequel to the Hobbit? JRR Tolkien never wrote a sequel to the Hobbit.” You would be correct but that isn’t going to stop them though. The Hobbit and its yet to be named sequel will be filmed simultaneously starting in 2009, the same way the three Lord of the Rings movies were filmed. At first many fans wondered if they just intended to break the story of the Hobbit up into two parts. That would have been disappointing. It seems that The Hobbit will contain the full story from the book. The sequel will cover the 60 years between the end of the Hobbit and the beginning of the Lord of the Rings trilogy.
