Angelina Jolie: Happy 32nd Birthday
2007-06-04 12:19:45
Today the actress, mother, and saver-of-world Angelina Jolie turns 32. Born on June 4, 1975 Jolie has kept herself plenty busy since then with her film career (picking up an Oscar in her first try in 2000 for Girl, Interrupted), romances, and recently her ever-growing family.
If you’re aching for a new Angelina movie then you won’t have to wait much longer. She’s got 6 movies currently in the works according to IMDB. One on its way to theaters (A Might Heart - 2007), two of them are in post-production (Beowulf - 2007 and Kung Fu Panda - 2008), one currently filming (Wanted - 2008), one in pre-production (The Changeling - 2008), and finally one more in “announced” status (Atlas Shrugged - 2008). Wow, that’s a lot! Good for her, and good for us too.
Happy Birthday Angelina Jolie! ...

Katie Holmes: Scientology Must Be Teaching Masochism
2007-06-04 08:00:27
In what must clearly be a case of masochism Katie Holmes, in an interview with Entertainment Tonight, says she’s ready to have more children. I’ve got no problem with people having kids, well mostly, but when you slip into a marriage with a cult obsessed patriarch I’ve gotta wonder what drives someone to want more of it. The interview airs tonight and you’ll get to see a well rehearsed Holmes repeating messages like, “They are treating me very well,” and “No one is hurting me.” Well, not really, it’ll be more like:
?We?re having the best time, it?s so amazing,? Holmes, 28, said of the year she and Cruise have spent largely out of the spotlight.
?He?s a great father and so it came to no shock that when we had Suri he was amazing with the baby.”
Holmes has also gotten plenty of time playing stepmom to Cruise’s other children from his previous marriage with Nicole Kidman. Note that Holmes, 28, is closer in age ...

Weekend Movie Box Office Round-up: June 1 - 3, 2007
2007-06-03 13:28:37
Pirates of the Caribbean 3 held on to his command of the box office again this weekend and triumphed over the new releases including Knocked Up and Mr. Brooks. I was glad to see Knocked Up pull in almost $30 million as I’ve been enjoying director Judd Apatow’s work. Shrek 3 managed to hold on to a very strong earning with over $26 million as well. Mr. Brooks had a disappointing debut earning with only $10 million when you consider the cast involved (Costner, Hurt, and Moore). I think poor reviews killed its chance of moving up higher over the weekend.
If you missed any of the details on the new releases check out our Weekend Movie Preview with trailers and details.
Box office earnings for movies this weekend, June 1 - 3, 2007:
“Pirates of the Caribbean 3: At World’s End” $43.2 million
“Knocked Up” $29.3 million
“Shrek the Third” $51 million
“Mr. Brooks” $10 million
“Spider-Man 3″ $7.5 million

MTV?s ?Unplugged? Returns with Bon Jovi, The Police, & More
2007-06-01 12:00:58
MTV’s aging series “Unplugged” will be returning this summer with some big names including: The Police, Bon Jovi, Kenny Chesney, Mary J. Blige, and John Mayer. MTV has decided to not limit it to just their channel and will release it to the rest of their music themed network channels: VH1 and CMT.
Bon Jovi will be the first up starting on June 22 on MTV. Then, using the other channels, the show will be re-aired but tailored to those specific audiences. Not sure how they’ll tailor Bon Jovi to fit CMT, but okay. There are many more details after that, but the rumor mill states that The Police will perform their Unplugged show in Miami this July.

Weekend Movie Preview: Trailers & Details June 1 - 3, 2007
2007-06-01 10:00:33
It’s movie time again. This weekend we’re finally being spared the trilogy films and are diving into several good looking options. I’ve been in the mood for a good comedy and Knocked Up looks to deliver there. Then there’s a dark thriller with Mr. Brooks starring Kevin Costner, William Hurt, and cradle-robber Demi Moore (I kid, I kid). If you’re more into some of those ol’ sports stories then there’s even one for you with Gracie. There’s one more that you might not get, but should totally see, Day Watch. It’s a Russian remake and looks freakin’ awesome. It’s a limited release, but I’ve included it for its awesome factor. Alright then, hope you have a great weekend. Thanks for stopping by Wild Bluff Media this week!
Here are all your movie details & trailers for this weekend, June 1 - 3.
Knocked Up
Director: Judd Apatow
Starring: Seth Rogen, Katherine Heigl, Paul Rudd

Jolie-Pitt Clan Officially Expands
2007-06-01 09:03:48
Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt’s recently adopted son, Pax Thien, from Vietnam back in March has officially received his name change to include Jolie-Pitt. The paperwork was filed in April and approved this past Thursday by Superior Court Judge Gerald Rosenberg. Although his new name includes both Brad’s and Angelina’s surnames the request was filed as a single parent as the J-P clan leaders aren’t actually married.
I’m really curious to see what the branding she uses looks like. Whatever it is I bet it’s super cool and hot. Maybe she just gives them all homemade tat’s instead.

Resident Evil 5: Trailer & Details
2007-06-01 08:00:29
Awesome. Another Resident Evil game coming along soon, this time it’ll be #5 and is set to release in 2007 for the XBOX 360 and PS3. Capcom executives seem pleased with the new playground provided by these next-gen consoles:
“Utilizing the PlayStation 3[’s] and Xbox 360[’s] unprecedented power, Resident Evil 5 promises to revolutionize the series by delivering an unbelievable level of detail, realism, and control.”
The graphics definitely look very slick, but the trailer doesn’t provide a lot of details other than some sort of desert setting. The game’s producer, Jun Takeuchi, has commented that the setting was inspired by the story of “Black Hawk Down”, which explains the Somali type environment. The developers are looking for a similar game theme with the soldiers quickly becoming cornered by the city’s mobs. Not sure if I would have been so bold as to draw claims that I was building a game based on the idea of soldi ...
