Live Free or Die Hard: Bruce Willis & Justin Long Interview 2007-06-15 12:00:56 Yesterday I wrote about Live Free or Die Hard’s cross promotion with Arby’s where you could win a trip to LA and meet a movie stuntman. Well today I’ve got more on the fourth installment of the Die Hard films. Bruce Willis and costar Justin Long sat down for interviews while promoting the new movie in Japan. Willis discussed how doing the fourth movie at 52 wasn’t as easy as the first at 32. He also describes how Live Free goes back to the style of the original: The first film was great. The second one and the third one had some great moments. But this last one, this fourth one really kinda bookends the quartet of these films now and really went back to an old school version of action movies… The movie comes out in a couple of weeks on June 27th, and yes some of the scenes like overdone, like taking out a helicopter with a car, but I’m still anxious to see it. ...

Angelina Jolie Wants 13 or 14 Kids 2007-06-15 10:13:56 Angelina Jolie, who recently turned 32, must have a steady supply of Red Bull and coke pulsing through her system because last night on The Daily Show when Jon Stewart asked her how many children she wanted with Brad Pitt she replied, “It fluctuates between seven and thirteen or fourteen.” Holy crap! Considering the four they already have, that’s as many as ten more kids. You can’t even do the minivan thing anymore at that stage. Jolie’s going to have to pick up one of those charter buses every time she wants to run down to the store to buy 300 more diapers. So I guess the big question now is, “which countries?” Will she go back and hit some repeats or will it be all new?! Another one for the kids appears with what could easily be a franchise of its own, Nancy Drew, obviously based off children’s books. One that interests me because I enjoy these horror comedies is Fido, starring Carrie-Anne moss in this zombie flick. Travel by TARDIS in July: Dr. Who Returns 2007-06-15 09:00:02 This summer, Dr. Who returns to American television on the SciFi channel. Beginning July 6th, the third season of the new Dr. Who series will begin airing. This season begin with the introduction of the 10th Dr. Who played by David Tennant. Tennant will be familiar to American audiences from his role as the evil Harry Crumph Jr. in the fourth Harry Potter film, The Goblet of Fire. It’s nice to finally see the Sci-Fi channel actually showing some science fiction programs again especially a classic show such as Dr. Who. I’ve had about all I can take of John Edwards and the Ghost Hunters. In the first episode, Holiday Invasion, the Doctor, who is still recovering from his regeneration, and his companion, Rose, return to London on Christmas Eve. Big Brother 8: Coming Soon and Bigger than Ever 2007-06-15 06:45:24 Big Brother 8 is so close I can nearly taste it. In just three weeks we’ll be greeted by Julie Chen-bot and the Big Brother house jam packed with cameras, mics, and more cameras. The eighth installment of Big Brother is all set to premiere on Thursday, July 5th as the lead in to Pirate Master (PM will then shift to its new time slot on Tuesdays starting July 10th). Following the premiere episode of Big Brother 8 we’ll start receiving three primetime installments a week on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays. The really big change is that there will be daily shows as well as 3 hours of unfiltered, unrestricted, and uncensored Big Brother 8 entertainment. These airings will be part of the extended coverage of Big Brother 8 known as “Big Brother: After Dark”. Unfortunately these episodes come with a few hurdles. Pirate Master Recap - (Episode 3) 6/14/07 2007-06-14 21:24:41 Ahoy Mateys! ust finished watching another thrilling episode of Pirate Master. This week began with Louie out for blood after his ‘brother’ Christian was cast adrift last week. In a bit of foreshadowing, we saw Alexis slacking off and too tired to help her shipmates perform their duties. Apparently she is in the fashion industry and not used to physical labor (awww, poor Alexis). The Zanzibar Chest Black Crew: Joe Don, Cheryl, Ben, Alexis, Joy, Laurel, Sean Red Crew: Kendra, Azmyth, Jay, Louie, Christa, Jupiter, Nessa The first part of tonight’s treasure hunt was fairly straight forward. The crews had to paddle ashore and then follow a trail through the jungle. Along the path was a sabotage point which would allow the first crew past it to block the trail with a pile of bamboo poles. The teams were neck in neck until the black crew ran into trouble pushing their boat over sandbar. Then, Alexis just wandered off. The rest of the black crew is back in the boat ... Pirate

American Idol: Kelly Clarkson?s Summer Tour Postponed 2007-06-14 14:55:13 American Idol’s original winner, Kelly Clarkson, just can’t catch any breaks these days. With the constant rumors swirling about the internal fighting at her label over her upcoming album and her already released singles not doing so hot on the radio this latest news isn’t going to help her either. Clarkson’s rep, Paul Freundlich released a statement today (Thursday) stating: Plans for Kelly Clarkson’s summer tour have been shelved for now as the singer and her team re-evaluate her show’s size and scope ? a decision made even more difficult by the impending release of her album, My December. LiveNation’s CEO Michael Rapino added that ticket sales for her tour have been disappointing for them and decided they didn’t enough fuel to make this fire burn brightly. Coming Soon: Hot Rod - Trailer & Details 2007-06-14 12:00:44 This looks like it could be one of the better movies to come out of an SNL star. I’m hoping we have another Will Ferrell on our hands here. Andy Samberg takes on a dare devil role in this comedy and at least the trailers make it look like it works. Samberg has really been a big boost to SNL since he joined back in 2005. He’s since gone on to help create such Digital Shorts hits as “Lazy Sunday” and the duet with Justin Timberlake, “D**k in a Box”. I imagine we’ll get nothing less than his usual quality of humor. Hot Rod - Plot: Amateur stuntman Rod Kimble has a problem–his step-father Frank is a jerk. Reality Show Mash-ups 2007-06-14 10:00:06 The summer brings about the best in everything, especially reality television programming. Unfortunately, many of these shows will ultimately be canceled due to ridiculous premises. Networks can help alleviate the canceling of shows by combining two failing shows. Take for example: Pirate Kitchen - This show will take on the premise of a pirate themed Hell’s Kitchen with Captain Ramsey as the executive chef. Each week the teams will compete to find treasure chests that contain various kitchen utensils that will aid in completing a dinner service. And yes, the loser from each week WILL walk the plank. No exceptions. So You Think You Can Invent - Aspiring inventors are given a chest of random items and they have an hour to invent the next greatest thing. Pirate Master Preview - (Episode 3) 6/14/07 2007-06-14 09:00:30 Shiver me Timbers! Its almost time for another episode of Pirate Master! Unbelievably last week Joe Don (JD) managed to remain captain despite some strategic blunders. Denying the crew food. You know the people who can mutiny and vote you off. JD kept all of his share of the treasure to himself. After the crew grumbled he shared a very small, and in the opinion of some of the crew, insulting amount. He also kept Ben and Cheryl as his officers. In the end though, JD kept the captain’s privileges and it was Christian who was cast adrift. If JD keeps this up I can’t believe that there will not be a mutiny in the near future. I think it would also be in Ben and Cheryl’s best interest to talk some sense into JD before they are tarred with the same brush and cast adrift before their time. Considering all the talk Louie gives to a mutiny each week (and again in this week’s preview commercial) maybe we’ll finally see some pirate action on the high seas and ... Pirate

Live Free or Die Hard: Arby?s Stuntman for a Day Giveaway 2007-06-14 08:00:06 The wise Marge Simpson once said, “People do crazy things on TV, like eat at Arby’s.” Well it turns out that you could get a chance to do something even crazier than just eat at Arby’s. While I was in there filling my Jamocha shake craving I picked up a flyer that caught my eye. Arby’s is running a cross promotion with the upcoming Bruce Willis’ flick, Live Free or Die Hard (preview), where you can enter to win a day with a Hollywood stuntman. A day with a stuntman actually sounded kinda cool so I thought I’d look into it a little more. Turns out the actual prize isn’t so much a day with a stuntman as it is a trip to Fox Studios out in CA and lunch with a stuntman.
