Indiana Jones 4: A First Look On The Set - Video
2007-07-12 11:27:45
Can’t wait to see Indiana Jones 4 next summer? Well for now you can take a first look at Harrison Ford on the set in the video that includes about a half second of on-screen action. And by “action” I mean Indiana Jones just standing there in front of the camera. And by “standing there” I mean he’s being held up by a guy on either side of him. Then there’s the scene of him sitting down and resting. I guess they cut the scene of him drinking his Ensure and taking his meds. Sheesh. I knew he was too old for this gig. See for yourself and check out the Indiana Jones 4 Sneak Peek video Read more on Indiana Jones 4. ...
Big Brother 8: Week 1 Eviction Preview - July 10, 2007
2007-07-12 10:00:53
It’s time for the very first eviction of Big Brother 8 and after a failed attempt at winning the Power of Veto on Tuesday the nominations remain Amber and Carol. Being the first one off the show has to be a shameful event as it shows you can’t get at least 6 people to find you agreeable for 10 days. Someone has to go though, and other than this year’s America’s Player, Eric, we have little say in the matter. While we’re on the topic of America’s Player I’ve gotta say that I think it’s incredibly cool that we’ll get to decide his vote. I wonder if that’s the situation for the whole season, or just until the producers decide to let him take over on that aspect. If we’re deciding for his entire stay that’s going to make things really tough on Eric. He won’t be able to promise a vote to anyone without fear of potentially discovering moments before he votes that he’ll have to turn on his word. Vot ...
Singing Bee Review
2007-07-12 09:00:58
Singing Bee is possibly one of the cheesiest shows ever aired on network television and that is saying a lot. Joey Fatone hosts the show. He has obviously parleyed his re-found fame from Dancing with the Stars into this gig! The scary part is there is another show, Don’t Forget the Lyrics! with Wayne Brady, which is almost exactly the same. The game is pretty simple when the band stops playing the contestant has to sing the next line of the song. In the second round they mix it up a bit. The words to the lyrics appear on the screen scrambled the contestants must then sing the words in the correct order. In the final round the last two contestants have to sing the entire chorus of the song. Then In the final round, the champion gets a chance at 7 songs. He gets $5,000 for each correct line. If he gets three wrong its over. If he gets at least 5 correct he wins the grand prize of $50,000 (Woo! What a big budget show!) It was fun to watch and sing along. The music was good, but t ...
Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare - E3 2007 Trailer
2007-07-12 08:00:09
I’m a big fan of the Call of Duty video games and so I’m just as excited to see the next game in the series released. This time things will jump from historical war scenarios to a future, potential scenario. It reminds me a lot more of Tom Clancy Rainbow Six games, but that’s okay. For now it looks like it’ll be on the PS3 and XBOX 360. I imagine it’ll get to the PC as well though. Enjoy the E3 2007 trailer for Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare. Don?t Forget the Lyrics Review
2007-07-11 21:37:12
Don’t Forget the Lyrics is the second game show to premiere this week which requires its contestants to know the sing the lyrics of a song. Singing Bee hosted by Joey Fatone premiered last night. Don’t Forget the Lyrics is basically Karaoke meets “Who wants to be a millionaire”. In the new tradition of Deal or No Deal and Are You Smarter than a Fifth Grader, FOX has chosen a well known comedian, Wayne Brady, to host the show. Don’t Forget the Lyrics follows what has become the classic game show formula. The contestants must work their way up a prize ladder to reach the top prize. Unlike Singing Bee which only gives the contestants a chance to win at most $50,000, in addition to having a better set FOX has ponied up the big bucks with a maximum prize of $1 million. Once the contestants reach the $25,000 level that is the least they can go home with. Don’t forget the lyrics gives the contestants 3 backups (i.e., “life lines”): the c ...
Harry Potter Honored at Grauman?s Chinese Theatre
2007-07-11 21:36:01
In preparation of this week’s release of the fifth film in the Harry Potter series Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, the three young stars of the film were honored on Monday, July 9, at Grauman’s Chinese Theatre in Hollywood, California. For decades, Hollywood stars have been honored by having their hand prints cast in cement and placed in the Theatre’s forecourt. Daniel Radcliffe who plays Harry Potter, and his costars Rupert Grint and Emma Watson, who play Ron Weasley and Hermione Granger respectively, not only got to place their hands and feet in the cement, but their wands from the movies as well! ...
Big Brother 8: Come and Get Your Slop, Mmm mmm
2007-07-11 12:00:37
Jameka may have been the first player I can remember who was potentially interested in partaking in some Big Brother slop. She noted earlier this week that she enjoys oatmeal, so maybe she’ll be alright with it. Personally, I’d rather gnaw on my own foot. Are you wondering what’s in that delicious, nutritious meal? Well last season TV Week published the ingredients of Big Brother Slop. Since our house guests will again be enjoying this tasty treat, I thought I would post them as a refresher. Interesting side note, if you do a Google image search for “big brother slop” the first return you get is a picture of James from the previous seasons. So for your dinning pleasure here they are: Natural oats, proprietary blend of whey protein concentrate, soy protein isolate, wheat protein isolate, milk protein isolate, natural and artificial flavors, vitamins and minerals (vitamin A palmitate, thiamine mononitrate, riboflavin, pyridoxine hydrochloride, cyanoco ...

2007-07-11 10:00:53

Still, Dan wakes up almost nightly from terrifying nightmares and odd visions he can’t explain or dismiss. One night, awakened by yet another nightmare, Dan goes for a run through his foggy neighborhood and comes upon a well-lit service station. Behind the counter, an old man seemingly moves without regard for space or time. One moment, Dan is paying for his snacks, the next the old man is on the roof of the station. Stunned by the impossibility, Dan begs the old man, whom he instinctually names Socrates, to share the secret of his ab ...

It’s been yet another infuriating and boring summer with the despicable Dursleys, this time with minimal contact from our hero’s non-Muggle friends from school. Harry is feeling especially edgy at the lack of news from the magic world, wondering when the freshly revived evil Lord Voldemort will strike. Returning to Hogwarts will be a relief, or will it? Pirate Master Recap - (Episode 7) 7/10/07
2007-07-10 22:30:48
Weigh anchor! Batten down the hatches! Hoist the mains’l! Its time to set sail again on the Picton Castle with the Pirate Master crew. After its move to Tuesday, the producers felt they needed to spend the first 10 minutes of the show doing a recap the entire season up to this episode. Captain Azmyth and the officers gave Joe Don and Louie tons of work to wear them out since they would both be on the red team. Nessa really has it in for Azmyth. She’s had it with him. Calling him a control freak but, that’s probably what she would say about who ever is captain. The Zanzibar Chest Black Crew: Azmyth, Jay, Ben, Laurel, and Jupiter Red Crew: Louie, Joe Don, Nessa, Christa, and Kendra The crews first had to row to the western end of the island and find a barrel moored in the bay. ONe of the crew then had to dive down retrieve the clue in a bottle underwater. When the crews left the ship the black crew did not have Laurel rowing, no surprise. The black crew reached the ba ...

Big Brother 8: Week 1 Power of Veto Recap - July 10, 2007
2007-07-10 22:09:47
Foreword: Big Brother Season 8 is now in full swing and to avoid missing any current details you’ll want to check out the online, uncensored live feeds (14 day free trial) and see what is going on right now. Tonight the drama continues on Big Brother 8 as we are treated to our first of the weekly Power of Veto (PoV) competitions. The winner of the PoV will have the opportunity to take someone down from the chopping block, including herself, and then the HoH will be forced to immediately name a replacement. Considering we rarely see the PoV used and as early as it is in the game I’m not expecting to see that happen tonight, but maybe I’ll be surprised. The show opens with a rehash of Sunday’s nomination ceremony and quickly leads right into more diary room scenes of puffy, red faced Amber crying. Then more of Amber crying. Finally there is more of Amber crying. Amber has definitely taken on the role of Water Works this season. Amber doesn’t unders ...
Sex and the City Movie, Finally?
2007-07-10 12:00:20
Kim Cattrall, the long time hold out from the HBO series Sex and the City, has finally agreed to move forward with the long discussed big screen adaptation. Oh boy, what a relief. Kim Cattrall will be at least 52 years old by the time the movie creeps into theaters, making this the saddest attempt at sex appeal since Sharon Stone retrieved her ice pick for a second round. Co-stars Jessica Parker and Kristin Davis both turned 40 last year while Cynthia Nixon hit that mile marker the year prior. So what finally smoothed Cattrall’s wrinkles enough to get her in front of the Vasoline smeared camera? She had been holding out for a paycheck the size of Parker’s, who is a co-producer on the show while Cattrall is just a bitch. I guess we’ll have to assume she finally got close enough with the money, but in addition to that she’s negotiated to have “influence over her scenes”. I’ll be amazed if she still has influence over her bladder by the tim ...

2007-07-10 10:00:38

Hot into the first full week of Big Brother 8 it’s now time for the first Power of Veto competition and results show. Tonight on Big Brother we’ll see if Amber or Carol, who both were nominated for eviction on Sunday by Kail, can win the Power of Veto. If they do they’ll be able to use it and take themselves off the chopping block. If not they’ll still have the chance to talk their way down from the danger zone. This is no doubt a difficult task for both of these ladies as the competition is in full force and the stakes are each at their personal high. I think both Amber and Carol are in a real ...
