Angelina Jolie Is Desperate For More Kids; Yeah, No Kidding
2007-09-13 08:00:08
Angelina Jolie is quick on her way to become that crazy old lady with fifty cats, but instead of cats they’re kids. She was already on The Daily Show talking about wanting “13 or 14 kids” and it looks like she may be ready to make good on that effort. In an interview with the Daily Mail Jolie explained: Hollywood A-lister Angelina Jolie has admitted she is desperate to add to the “rainbow” family she’s acquired with partner Brad Pitt. “You know, I always wanted to adopt kids. My mother used to say that I talked about it when I was a little girl. And I’ve always wanted a big family, and Brad’s the same. We are enjoying the children together. So, as much as it’s absolute chaos and sometimes we look at each other and think, ‘My God! What have we done?’, there are many more moments when I couldn’t imagine any one of them not being here,” said Jolie. Yeah, I’m sure “Brad’s the same ...
Big Brother 8: Final HoH Competition Round 2 Today
2007-09-12 13:51:07
Following an intense 7.5 hour endurance competition (HoH recap & pictures here) that sent Daniele to the ground crying, Dick cursing his head off at BB, and Zach too cold to use his hands by the time it was done, a winner was crowned for the first segment of this three parter. I was amazed by how long Dick ended up lasting before giving in and letting his key swing free from his grasp. Every hour he looked worse and worse, yet he kept hold on. Zach, on the other hand, looked like a statue and at least appeared unphased by the harsh climate produced by BB for the competition. Regardless of who won I think both of those guys did a heck of a lot better than I would have done in those conditions. With Zach as the winner of the first round that sends the father and daughter duo to a face off in the second round. The winner of this round will rejoin Zach in the third and final round on Thursday night. The second round should take place later today and hopefully we’ll get ...
NBC Law & Order SVU Season 9 Guest Stars Preview Video
2007-09-12 12:00:26
Yesterday I discussed the new shows premiering on NBC but don’t forget the oldies returning like Law & Order SVU. After watching probably every episode of SVU on USA in reruns I think I may be ready to start watching the fresh episodes this fall. This year it looks like the cornerstone of the series this season will be bringing in a load of guest stars. We already knew Cynthia Nixon would be showing up for the season premiere, but now we’ve got Steven Weber, Method Man, and more coming out for the rest of the shows. You can check out the preview clip here on NBC.com. Big Brother 8: Where Jameka Went Wrong
2007-09-12 10:00:13
Last night we saw the inevitable eviction of Jameka following an impressive ten week stay in the house. I call it inevitable because week after week Jameka continued to be nominated for eviction and would then take a backseat to a higher priority. This was likely due to the fact she spent nearly half her time in the game with her HoH wings clipped, but we’ll get to that shortly. Jameka might not have been the strongest or loudest player in the game but she managed to dodge bullets and come out with her character mostly intact. The interesting part about Jameka’s game was how her biggest mistake was what may have been her saving grace. I’m of course talking about her decision back in Week 5 during the Power of Veto competition when she opted to give up the next 5 HoH competitions in return for the chance to win a PoV that she didn’t even need and didn’t end up winning. Can you believe that? She was playing like her life was on the line but instea ...
Crowe & DiCaprio Filming Next Ridley Scott Movie, “Body of Lies”
2007-09-12 08:00:47
Russell Crowe is teaming back up with Ridley Scott for “Body of Lies”, a post 9/11 thriller costarring Leonardo DiCaprio. “Body of Lies” is based on the novel by the same name from Washington Post columnist David Ignatius. Crowe and Scott previously worked together on Gladiator and the less popular A Good Year with their other project, American Gangster, on its way to theaters soon. Crowe is currently in the Baltimore, Maryland area filming scenes while DiCaprio is set to arrive next week for his scenes to be filmed there. The Maryland region is to be used in lieu of England and Germany. Um, okay. The story from “Body of Lies: A Novel” looks like it could be pretty good, especially with this high profile cast working on it: Roger Ferris is one of the CIA’s soldiers in the war on terrorism. He has come out of Iraq with a shattered leg and an intense mission—to penetrate the network of a master terrorist known only as “Suleiman ...

Big Brother 8: Week 10 PoV & Live Eviction Recap - Sept 11, 2007
2007-09-11 20:46:36
Settle in for what’s likely to be a fierce and lengthy night in the Big Brother house as we’ve got a lot going on in tonight’s episode. The action will be part live and part pre-recorded. The Power of Veto Competition has actually already happened, but the results of that event will play out live as we’ll get the winner’s decision and subsequent solitary vote. Can you believe it’s come down to just one vote being cast? Craziness. After the live eviction the houseguests are going to tear it up in the first round of the final HoH competition with an endurance test. This could go on for quite awhile I’ll keep updating this page as I watch the live feeds, so keep refreshing to see more. The show launches right into Dick and Daniele’s behavior following Zach’s nominations. While Zach’s speech was a little silly it’s more annoying to listen to the Donatos rant and rave. Daniele is pissed off that Zach went back on ...

NBC Fall Line Up Episode Previews at Blockbuster
2007-09-11 12:00:38
If you can’t wait to get a glimpse at NBC’s 2007 Fall TV Line Up then you’re in luck. Blockbuster will be offering up a free rental disc for customers, available in the store and online, for those interested. The new season gets going in just a few weeks, September 24th, so this is a pretty decent chance to get a jump on the shows. Starting now and ending October 21, Blockbuster customers will be able to rent copies of the upcoming premieres of NBC’s new lineup, either in-store or through their direct mail service, to check out what the Peacock has in store for viewers in the fall. On the preview disc are previews of Life, Journeyman, and Chuck, along with a 2-minute preview of Bionic Woman. I’m most interested to see Bionic Woman which of course isn’t a full preview on the disc. I guess they’re being sure to hold that card close to their chest, smart movie. I’d still be happy to check out Chuck as that one looks pretty interes ...
Big Brother 8: Week 10 PoV & Live Eviction Preview - Sept 11, 2007
2007-09-11 10:00:57
Update: You can find our recap of tonight’s big episode along with live feed HoH endurance round updates. Spoiler Free Zone ahead: We may know what’s going on with the live feeds, but for now we’ll keep this from ruining any broadcast surprises. Following Sunday’s HoH and Nomination episode we witnessed a surprising shift in power as Zach started to take over for the Donatos as ruler of the house. Tonight we’ll see if Zach can hang on to that lead or if they’ll snatch it right back. Last we saw Zach was talking to Jameka and asking for her help to keep his Donato nominations the same with his intent to send Daniele to sequester. Jameka pointed out the obvious, she has no other choice but to try and keep the nominations the same by winning the PoV. This should definitely be another tense episode. Whoever wins the PoV will be in complete control of deciding who will go home. There are several different scenarios, which I detailed out yesterda ...

Indiana Jones 4: Indy Uncovers His Next Title
2007-09-11 08:00:34
Last month we found out a list of potential titles for the next Indiana Jones movie (notice I didn’t say “last Indy movie”) had been sent over to the MPAA. Well I thought for sure we’d get “Indiana Jones and the City of Gods” as it was the only one that sounded like a real title, but looks like I was wrong. IndianaJones.com now has the official title plastered across the header with the final decision being: “Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull”. Yeah, I’m not crazy about it as it sounds like a kiddie movie to me with the “crystal skull” part there. Ah well. The title was announced on Sunday by the film’s young actor, Shia LaBeouf (Transformers, Disturbia), at the MTV VMAs (aka: Brit’s Ground Zero). I suspect they’re trying to push LaBeouf to the center of the stage on the publicity for this new movie as I believe he’ll be taking over the series. The rights have been secu ...
“Chunk” Spears Does The Truffle Shuffle; Blames Silverman’s Jokes
2007-09-10 20:54:17
Last night we witnessed Britney Spears doing the Truffle Shuffle as she attempted to stage a comeback at the VMAs. Well that didn’t happen, did it? But this mess couldn’t have possibly been the fault of past-her-prime Spears, right? Of course not. I blame, and by “I blame” I mean “not at all responsible”, Sarah Silverman and her jabs at Britney and her kids during her monologue. X17 explains it all: A source tells X17 Brit found out about Sarah Silverman’s crappy line about Britney’s babies just moments before she took the stage to perform “Gimme More.” Needless to say, Britney was PISSED! … as any mom would be. Britney was so upset she walked through her performance just to get it over with (despite encouragement from her friends, including Sam who was apparently yelling at Sarah backstage) to skip out on it all together). She held up her end of the bargain and got a major slap in the face from Sarah. What e ...

Big Brother 8: Final Four - Potential PoV Scenarios & What-If’s
2007-09-10 10:00:45
Spoiler Free Zone ahead: We may know what’s going on with the live feeds, but for now we’ll keep this from ruining any broadcast surprises. Can you believe it?! We’re looking at our finale four of the eighth season of Big Brother. Fantastic. I’m still enjoying this show as much as ever and am really excited to see it all play out. So at this point we’ve seen Zach take over, again, as HoH and he’s nominated Dick and Daniele for eviction. I think that was definitely the right choice, though it probably wasn’t the easiest. Well heck, he had to nominated one of them, so why not just go for it all. With the most dangerous duo sitting side by side on the nomination couch neither one will be able to vote to save the other, unless they pull off the PoV. Obviously the remainder of this season could go in a lot of ways depending on the PoV and the subsequent eviction vote, so let’s take a look. Case #1: Zach wins the PoV. Should Zach ...

Vanessa Hudgens Emailed Out Nude Photo Herself
2007-09-10 08:00:17
Vanessa Hudgens, 18, the star of Disney’s High School Musical and HSM 2 has found herself in the spotlight pretty heavily since last Thursday when a nude photo of her surfaced around the Internet. Considering all the apologizing that was coming from Hudgens and her agent I was a little suspicious of the photo’s source. Had she come out furious and angry accusing someone of angling to do her harm I wouldn’t have wondered about her involvement. Turns out Hudgnes had, more or less, released the photo herself by emailing it to another young celeb, according to a source for People: Following the appearance on the Web of a nude photo of Vanessa Hudgens, a source close to the situation tells PEOPLE that the High School Musical actress once sent risqué photos of herself to Nickelodeon star Drake Bell. Hudgens had emailed photos to the Drake and Josh actor a couple of years ago, before she was famous, the source says. Bell’s rep, Jill Fritzo, tells PEOPLE of th ...
Britney Spears Opens MTV VMAs & Lip-Sync’s Like Crap
2007-09-09 20:55:08
In what could easily be compared to watching a train wreck Britney Spears mounted the MTV VMA performance stage tonight and wagered war on all of my senses. First off, and most notably, Brit is not the same woman shape-wise that she was five years ago. We all seem to know that, but she’s forgotten. Someone on her staff, please remind her so she stops wearing that “check out my gut, y’all” outfit. Plus, if you’re going to have twenty people on stage dancing along with you, maybe you could find a few larger ones so you weren’t the tubbiest one on stage. Hmm? The next assault was how badly she was lip-synching to her music. She forgot to move her mouth at the beginning, kept coming in off queue in the middle, and just completely stopped moving her mouth at the end. Seriously, she totally stopped even trying at the end when she fell backwards into the arms of her co-performers. I barely noticed if she was keeping her dance steps right oth ...

Big Brother 8: Week 10 HoH & Nomination Recap - Sept 9, 2007
2007-09-09 20:32:34
Last week following the double eviction episode where we saw Jessica and then Eric get evicted we were left with a cliff hanger. Who is going to win the next HoH? Tonight we’ll learn what happened and who is the new HoH. With only four people left this could be a real game shifter of a moment, or it could keep things going in the direction they are (D&D ruling the house). Not only will we see who wins the HoH competition but we’ll also get the nominations that will lead us to the final three house guests. Before we get to all that goodness CBS fills us with lots of time with recaps scenes from Thursday’s eviction episode. I guess when there are only four people left there isn’t as much fresh drama to share. I enjoyed the PoV replay where Daniele spends the entire time whining and crying that she was getting hit by the rubber balls. Perhaps a little meat on those bones would protect you there, Daniele. Dick explains that all of the remaining house ...
