Big Brother 8: How Will The Jury Vote? Donato Or Donato?
2007-09-17 10:00:42
Here we go, this is it. We’re down to the wire and so it’s time to see just which way the jury could go tomorrow night on the season finale of Big Brother 8. As we witnessed on Thursday, Zach has been evicted leaving Dick and Daniele Donato to divvy up a huge pool of earnings. Considering everyone in the sequester house feels they have been wronged one way or the other by the Donatos it should be funny to watch them weigh out this final decision. On your left you have a deceptive, sneaky, fire-charged Donato, and on your right you’ve got, um, another Donato. It really won’t matter too much to this jury which way the money goes as they’re likely to find little satisfaction in the award. Regardless of what they think at this point they’ll each have to make a choice and place a key accordingly. Let’s take a walk through all seven of the jury members and consider the possibilities. These were surprisingly difficult to assess and predi ...
Charlize Theron and Townsend Married, Just Not Married Married
2007-09-17 08:00:28
Stuart Townsend, best known for nothing other than some how landing Charlize Theron, told People magazine that he and Charlize consider themselves married, despite not actually being married: “I’m married,” Townsend told PEOPLE this week. “I didn’t do a church wedding or anything, but we’re married. We’re husband and wife.” “We love each other and we want to spend our lives together,” the 34-year-old actor said about his nearly seven-year relationship with Theron, 32, who he calls “the greatest woman I’ve ever met.” “We didn’t have a ceremony,” he added. “I don’t need a certificate or the state or the church to say otherwise. So no there’s no big official story on a wedding, but we are married. … I consider her my wife and she considers me her husband.” Listen up Townsend, one of these days Charlize is going to come across a copy of that crap Queen of th ...
Big Brother 8: Week 11 Season Recap Episode - Sept 16, 2007
2007-09-16 21:40:37
With Zach’s eviction on Thursday night, only Dick and Daniele remain. So there aren’t a lot of fireworks left to watch tonight. The episode started out with highlights of Dick and Daniele’s relationship over the course of the season. All of the shouting, all of the tears, all of the jumping up and down because everyone else got kicked out of the house. All along it was really easy to think of Dick as the bad guy. But it wasn’t until CBS boiled down the footage that you really see just how immature Daniele is. Don’t get me wrong Dick is no saint, but there problems aren’t all his fault like I remember thinking at the beginning of the season. I’ll be interested to see how their relationship goes after they get out of the house. I think Dick’s heart is in the right place and for his sake, I hope Daniele isn’t just going to take the money and run. The rest of the episode were the Donatos sharing fond memories (i.e., making fun of ...
O.J. Simpson Arrested In Las Vegas - Audio Recording
2007-09-16 15:08:21
Sans a white Bronco, O.J. Simpson was arrested this morning in Las Vegas on charges of armed robbery in connection with an incident on Thursday in the Palace Station casino-hotel. The Associated Press reports: Several police officers were seen entering the hotel where Simpson is staying; a security guard said police took Simpson out a side door shortly after. At least one other person has been arrested and police said earlier Sunday that as many as six people could be arrested in connection with the alleged armed robbery that occurred in a room inside the Palace Station casino-hotel on Thursday. Simpson, 60, has said he and other people with him were retrieving items that belonged to him. He told police no guns were involved. Earlier this weekend the alleged victim of the situation, Alfred Beardsley, changed his story saying now that nothing wrong had happened. He claimed that if he hadn’t called the police and reported a robbery his insurance wouldn’t have covered the ...
Weekend Movie Box Office Earnings Round-up: Sept 14 - 16, 2007
2007-09-16 13:18:40
The weekend box office results are in and while the #1 spot isn’t surprising I’ll admit that I’m more that surprised by some of the other new releases. Jodie Foster easily took the top spot with The Brave One earning a modest $14 million on its debut. Knocked from the top perch down to second place is 3:10 To Yuma with about a 50% reduction in earnings this week over last with just $9.15 million. While I’m not surprised, just disappointed, with Mr. Woodcock getting third place with $9.1M it’s Dragon Wars earning $5.3 million that blows my mind. That movie looked awful, awful, awful, and yet it earns as much in its debut as Shoot ‘Em Up did last week? How do these things happen? That sort of thing is just going to encourage Hollywood to put out cheap, low-grade movies that earn at a far higher ROI. Grrr…. Here they are, your box office movie earnings for this weekend: September 14 - 16, 2007. If you missed any of the background on t ...
Big Brother 8: Week 11 Season Recap Episode Preview - Sept 16, 2007
2007-09-16 11:44:19
Tonight on Big Brother 8 it’s time to take a look back over this season and see how far we’ve come. Once things get down to the final two there isn’t a whole lot of activity left to watch in the house, especially when those two are on the same team. Following Zach’s disappointing performance on Thursday night (though it was just as I expected) he was evicted by Dick and sent to sequester. It was a no brainer for Dick to evict Zach over his daughter and couldn’t have played out any differently. A lot of people won’t be happy to watch those two rake in all the Big Brother dough at the end of the season, but that’s exactly what we’re facing. With Zach evicted he’ll be heading to the sequester house where he’s like to be greeted with disappointed faces as most of the jury isn’t too keen on the Donatos. It should be hilarious to watch their faces as they realize they’re about to award $550,000 to the Donatos. ...
Entertainment Week In Review: September 10 - 14, 2007
2007-09-15 12:00:30
Here are your entertainment news highlights from this past week: Sept 10 - 14, 2007 Monday: The walking disaster that is Britney Spears was trying to place blame for Sunday’s VMA performance bomb on Sarah Silverman’s jokes. Those make me lip-sync like crap too, so I can totally understand. Tuesday: Big Brother 8 kept me up until 5 in the morning following its final HoH competition as we roll towards the end of the season. It lasted forever, but was pretty exciting to watch. Wednesday: Russell Crowe, Leonardo DiCaprio, and Ridley Scott are teaming up for their next film project, “Body of Lies”. Thursday: Angelina Jolie discusses how she is “desperate” to have more kids. Obsessive much? Friday: Rachel Bilson looks to pretty up the set of NBC’s Chuck this fall as she joins the cast. Hmm, tell me more. Once again, a lot happened this week. Next week try to stay hip and popular by visiting Wild Bluff Media each day so you don’t miss a ...

Weekend Movie Preview: Trailers & Details September 14 - 16, 2007
2007-09-14 10:00:42
The weekend couldn’t come soon enough this week. Last weekend offered up several good movies, including 3:10 to Yuma and Shoot ‘Em Up. This weekend seems to be a mixed bag. First you’ve got another vigilant justice movie with Jodie Foster’s “The Brave One”. Then Stiffler is back in “Mr. Woodcock” for an attempt at comedy that doesn’t interest me. There’s also the B-movie “Dragon Wars” which seems to have escaped it’s place on the SciFi channel. The last one looks pretty good with “Eastern Promises”, but I’m just not sure how excited I am to see this one. Here are all your movie details & trailers for this weekend, September 14 - 16, 2007. The Brave One Starring: Jodie Foster, Terrence Howard, Naveen Andrews Director: Neil Jordan Genre: Action/Adventure, Drama, Thriller Rated: R for strong violence, language and some sexuality. Duration: 2hrs 2mins Plot: New York radio host Er ...

Big Brother 8: Where Zach Went Wrong
2007-09-14 09:40:30
Last night, following a failed attempt at usurping the throne from the Donatos, Zach became the final evictee by Dick’s hands. It was fun to watch Zach play the role of the underdog as the odds seemed stacked against him, so I wasn’t surprised when things played out just as I had expected. Zach played an impressive game in the final weeks of Big Brother 8, but it just wasn’t enough. So let’s take a look at where Zach went wrong in his game. Zach had a very interesting game style. Not only did he try to stay “under the radar” he seemed to try to stay completely out of the range of everyone’s radar. There were times during the early season when I wasn’t sure from the broadcast shows if Zach was even still around. While Jameka played “under the radar” by appearing to not be a threat Zach took the approach of seeming almost detached from the whole game. Following the disbanding of Mrs. Robinson’s Alliance Zach di ...
Rachel Bilson Set to Join Cast of NBC’s “Chuck”
2007-09-14 08:00:54
Getting ready depressed fans of The O.C. because the pretty girl from Orange County (no, not the puff dragon one) is set to return to TV. USA Today reports on the details: The OC’s Rachel Bilson will guest-star on NBC’s new comedy Chuck (by OC creator Josh Schwartz) in a multi-episode arc scheduled to air in late October. She will play a romantic option for Chuck (Zachary Levi). Chuck looks like it could be turning into a nice little show after all (take a look at Chuck’s interactive site). It started out looking semi-interesting, but now I think I may move it over to my “watch” category, especially since it’ll be on the same night as Heroes. You see, that’s how I keep in such peak condition, by watching lots and lots of TV. It really helps me to tone up. Yeah. Big Brother 8: Week 10 Final HoH Round Recap - Sept 13, 2007
2007-09-13 20:27:48
Tonight’s episode started with showing the results of the first two rounds of the HoH competition. Wild Bluff Media provided a blow by blow account of both round one and round two earlier this week from the live online feed. In case you don’t want to read the blow by blow accounts, Daniele got knocked off of her stump by the rabbit after only about two and a half hours. Dick and Zach stayed on their stumps for almost eight hours enduring the freezing water, sore legs, and each other’s company for almost eight hours before Dick finally had to throw in the towel. So Zach was the big winner of round one ensuring himself a spot in the final two. Round two would now be a competition between Dick and Daniele to see who would compete against Zach for the half million dollar prize. Dick and Daniele each gave it a shot. They had to complete an underwater puzzle which connected the house guests in the order in which they won HoH. The contestant who completed the puzzle t ...
Coming Soon: Michael Clayton - Trailer & Details
2007-09-13 12:00:52
If you enjoy corporate dramas like The Insider then get ready for Michael Clayton starring George Clooney in the leading role. I’m just glad to see Clooney outside of an Ocean’s Eleven/Twelve/Thirteen movie for a change. Good drama and solid acting look to be a gimme here so let’s just hope the story can hold our attention and deliver in the end. If not, you can always fall back on Syriana for some classy Clooney. Michael Clayton - Details: Release Date: 12 October 2007 Genre: Drama / Thriller Starring: George Clooney, Tom Wilkinson, Sydney Pollack Director: Tony Gilroy Rating: Rated R for language including some sexual dialogue. Michael Clayton - Plot: Michael Clayton (George Clooney) is an in-house “fixer” at one of the largest corporate law firms in New York. A former criminal prosecutor, Clayton takes care of Kenner, Bach & Ledeen’s dirtiest work at the behest of the firm’s co-founder Marty Bach (Sydney Pollack). Though burned ...

Big Brother 8: Week 10 Final HoH Round Preview - Sept 13, 2007
2007-09-13 10:00:30
Update: Check out our recap of tonight’s final HoH competition episode. Spoiler Zone: Careful, we’ve got spoiler discussions regarding this week’s ongoing HoH 3 Round Competition. If you’d rather not know what’s going on then browse through our Big Brother 8 section for safer discussions. Tonight on Big Brother we’ll see our final competitions of the eighth season. Following Zach’s victory in the first part of the HoH finale on Tuesday night we’ll get to see the 2nd and 3rd rounds play out. The 2nd round took place on Wednesday, but the third and final part will be live on Thursday night. At this point I don’t think there will be a huge variation in the results based on which Donatos plays against Zach. Both Dick and Daniele have proven their abilities in the thinking challenges already, but don’t count Zach out just yet as he outreached Daniele in the most recent HoH. The side effects of who wins tonight’s th ...
