Scrubs’ Creator Asks For Your Help To End Series
2007-10-18 08:00:18
Next Thursday Scrubs returns on NBC (9:30PM EST) for it’s seventh and final season. Considering its questionable renewal at the end of last season fans should be thrilled at the opportunity to resolve as those issues left hanging in the previous finale. To highlight the conclusion of the long running comedy which launched Zach Braff’s career, the show’s creator, Bill Lawrence, is making a pretty cool offer: Bill Lawrence (the show?’s creator) has a special request for the viewers out there. Since Scrubs is heading into its final season, Bill, the cast and crew are willing to answer as many questions as you can ask about whatever it is you ever wanted to know about the show. Seriously, Bill Lawrence has vowed to answer EVERY questions posted. He’?s even looking for suggestions on how to end the series. Check out his video message here: It looks like the goal is to get a thousand questions for Lawrence as the forum topic where you can post your que ...

2007-10-17 12:00:31
This morning on the show Elisabeth Hasselbeck announced that she would be leaving The View. Not to worry though, the conservative co-host of The View will be back next spring. Elisabeth’s husband, NFL quarterback Tim Hasselbeck has just been signed with the Arizona Cardinals. Elisabeth who is pregnant has decided to go with him to Arizona with him so that they can be together when their baby is born later this year. Then following her maternity leave Elisabeth will rejoin her fellow co-hosts every morning on the View. Coen Brothers Cast Wrong Brolin In “No Country For Old Men”
2007-10-17 10:00:23
Things don’t always go as planned in Hollywood and while most times you decide after watching a movie that the cast just wasn’t right, this time around the casting foul was recognized on the first day of filming. The Coen brothers, who brought you such great films as The Hudsucker Proxy, The Big Lebowski, Fargo, and O’ Brother Where Art Thou?, were working on their latest project, No Country For Old Men, which followed two aging men being pursued by a cold blooded murderer across the western terrain. So imagine their surprise when instead of a 70yr old Vietnam veteran character played by James Brolin in walked 39 year old Josh Brolin, the former’s son. No Country for Old Men had Tommy Lee Jones in place — no mistake there — as a crusty west-Texas sheriff on the trail of a bad man to be played by four-time-Goya-winning Spanish sex symbol Javier Bardem. And to round out the cast we hired — we thought — rugged everyman Jim Brolin as ...
Stephen Colbert To Nation: I’ll Be Your Next President - Video
2007-10-17 09:08:06
Last night on The Colbert Report, Stephen Colbert announced he will join the race to be the next president. Considering his popularity I wouldn’t be surprised to see him get more votes than some of these guys that are serious about running. What do you think? Can Colbert be the next Reagan as an actor turned president?? JJ Abrams’ Star Trek Casting Nearly Complete - Kirk Confirmed
2007-10-17 08:00:01
It looks like the casting process for the next Star Trek movie, helmed by JJ Abrams and set to debut in December 2008, is nearing completion and I’m not terribly impressed so far. The story is going to be heading back in the timeline, so get ready for a more youthful lineup here. Initially Abrams had wanted Russell Crowe as the villain Nero but the role has instead gone to Eric Bana (Troy, Hulk, Black Hawk Down). I’m glad to see Bana get a chance at a bigger role than his last attempt at a movie with “Lucky You“. I’ll keep discussing the positives for the moment and delay the downers. Simon Pegg (Shaun of the Dead, Hot Fuzz) is taking over as Scotty which is a surprising casting choice, but I’ll take it all the same. Both of those are recent updates to the list but we’ve known for awhile that Leonard Nimoy would reprise his role as Spock while Zachary Quinto (Heroes’ Sylar) would play his younger counterpart. I’m anxious ...
Dancing With The Stars 5 Week 4 Results: Knockout Punch
2007-10-16 21:01:54
I couldn’t wait to find out who was going home tonight. All of the scores were so high last night that if Mark Cuban manages to squeak out of the bottom two again then anyone could end up joining Floyd & Karina there. As you can see, Sabrina & Mark had the first perfect score of the season. So I was pretty sure going in that they would not be in the bottom two: Judges Leader Board Sabrina & Mark: 30 Cameron & Edyta: 27 Jennie & Derek: 27 Helio & Julianne: 27 Jane & Tony: 26 Mel & Maksim: 26 Marie & Jonathon: 26 Floyd & Karina: 23 Mark & Kym: 22 Tom discussed last night’s lift problems with Len. Last night Len declared the dance floor a no lift zone but he said that if they couples did lifts in the future the judges would penalize them with their scores. So make sure you watch to see if anyone breaks the rules next week. The judges then selected Cameron & Edyta’s Superman Paso Doble for this week’s Judge’ ...
28 Weeks Later: Movie Review
2007-10-16 12:00:48
28 Weeks Later Director: Juan Carlos Fresnadillo Starring: Jeremy Renner, Rose Byrne, Robert Carlyle Genre: Science Fiction/Fantasy, Thriller and Sequel Rated: R for strong violence and gore, language and some sexuality/nudity Plot: Six months after London was struck by the rage virus, the city is being carefully repopulated by the U.S. Army. Though under quarantine, a carrier of the virus is admitted to the city and unknowningly causes a second deadly outbreak. Check Prices for 28 Weeks Later on DVD and on Blu-ray. My Review: 28 Weeks Later, the sequel to 28 Days Later, brings you everything you know about zombies and mixes it with everything you’ve already seen about zombies. Okay, so 28 Weeks isn’t breaking any new ground in the realm of the undead flesh eaters but is it exciting and entertaining? Yes and yes. Leading the cast is Robert Carlyle (The Full Monty) as the story takes an interesting approach as we meet our disaster survivors at the same time period as th ...
Dancing With The Stars 5 Week 4: Results Preview
2007-10-16 10:00:05
Tonight is going to be a tough results show. There are a few shoe ins (like Sabrina & Mark with this season’s first perfect score, congratulations!), but if the one of the two lowest scores do not end up in the bottom two it could be anyone who goes home tonight. Here is the leader board after last night’s performances: Judges Leader Board Sabrina & Mark: 30 Cameron & Edyta: 27 Jennie & Derek: 27 Helio & Julianne: 27 Jane & Tony: 26 Mel & Maksim: 26 Marie & Jonathon: 26 Floyd & Karina: 23 Mark & Kym: 22 Obviously Floyd & Karina and Mark & Kym are on the bubble this week but, Mark & Kym have been on the bubble every week and have managed to stay alive. If they do that again this week who will be the other couple in the bottom two? Honestly I can’t really imagine anyone of the other couples going home tonight. Which unfortunately leads me to believe that Floyd & Karina are history. They are going home unless t ...
CSI’s Jorja Fox (Sara Sidle) Says Goodbye Mid-Season
2007-10-16 09:00:28
Despite surviving a near death (and deathly boring) season premiere on CSI Jorja Fox who plays Sara Sidle will not be returning next season or even finishing out this current season. Fox explains her reasons for leaving: “There are all these things I want to do. Some are personal. Some are professional. And I really need to do some of them before I get too old,” explains Fox. “If I thought the show were on its last legs, I would have tried harder to stay the course. But I feel like its going to be around for a while, so if I don’t want some of those dreams to pass me by, I have to get off the ride for a while.” Whatever. This lady is crazy. Other than playing Guy Pierce’s dead/not dead wife in Memento I can’t think of anything else I’ve ever seen her do. She should have been doing back flips that CBS even invited her back following her brief firing the other year over contract disputes. Ah well, the Jimmy Fallon approach to a career ...

The Bachelor 11 Week 4: Laughing Back the Tears
2007-10-15 22:39:33
Brad is down to only 9 bachelorettes after sending Lindsey, Sarah, and Solisa home last week. I’m still not sure that the fact that they couldn’t tell him and his twin brother apart really proves anything but then hey I’m not the bachelor am I? Tonight Brad has to eliminate X more girls at the rose ceremony, and one girl will head home after the two on one date. One on One Date: Helicopter Ride Jenni The helicopter landed in the backyard. Brad hoped out and picked Jenni up for their date. The helicopter landed on the roof of a building downtown where their was a table set with dinner and cocktails for the two of them. The two of them seemed to have a really nice time together. She kept saying how much she wanted to be with him and how she is always thinking of him and their kiss together. Brad was eating it up. Right now, I would say Jenni is a strong candidate to win this season. At the end of the date they were sitting on a sofa on the roof with a blanket and s ...
Dancing With The Stars 5 Week 4: Pasos and Waltzes
2007-10-15 21:10:17
Yay! Samantha Harris is back tonight. That isn’t the only DWTS news this week. Last night Maksim and Cheryl Burke appeared on ABC’s Extreme Makeover Home Edition with Ty Pennington, inspiring the design team to create a dance themed room. Reports have come in from several of the tabloids that despite Mel B’s best efforts that Jane Seymour cannot stand her. Jane apparently didn’t care for her mud slinging attacks against Eddie Murphy. Also, if Mel and Maksim survive this weeks elimination, Maksim will be heading with Mel to London to appear in the Spice Girls new video. Oh yeh and we have performances tonight so lets get to it. Mark Cuban & Kym Johnson Dance: Viennese Waltz I have to say this was Mark’s best performance so far. He was pretty light on his feet even though I did see him shuffle them once or twice. He kept his expressions from being too over the top. All of the judges thought he has improved. Bruno thought he lost the rhythm in a few ...
Preview Tonight’s Heroes 2.04 and Chuck 1.04 + Bonus Video
2007-10-15 15:27:05
Ready for the fourth week of new installments for both Heroes and Chuck tonight on NBC? Good, me too. First up on Chuck we’ll meet Sarah’s CIA lady friend (not like that) who will team up to retrieve a missing million-dollar diamond. Meanwhile Morgan gets interested in this newcomer (What? Chuck’s sister not good enough anymore, Morgan?) which will undoubtedly not go his way. Chuck will also get a deeper look into Sarah’s backstory and this is just going to confuse him more. Next up will be Heroes where I’m really hoping we’ll see the action start to heat up after a couple of slow episodes. Tonight Matt will ask young Molly to search out the boogeyman that has been stalking her dreams and it looks like this won’t turn out with happy results. Looks like Claire’s new romance couldn’t stay hidden much longer as HRG catches on. So what’s the tough dad gonna do? Probably not too much considering he isn’t ne ...
