Dancing With The Stars 5 Week 6: Taking it to the next level
2007-10-29 22:34:35
Hey, time for another exciting night of DWTS performances. With the loss of Mark & Kym last week I would say all of the dead wood has been trimmed. From here on out, the competition is going to be very tough. Usually each week the couple perform one of two dances but tonight, every couple performed a different dance. In addition to their normal routines, tonight the couples also participated in the first group dance. Lets see how they did.
Sabrina Bryan & Mark Ballas
Dance: Foxtrot
As usual Sabrina & Mark were dead on. There dancing was energetic, exacting, and clean. I did not enjoy their song selection though. I think they did a great job with it Len thought it was good, but it was too aggressive for a Foxtrot. Bruno actually agreed with Len for once. Carrie Ann was the one dissenter. She thought Len was way too hard on them. Now Sabrina did have a problem with her footing at the end of the routine so no matter what they weren’t going to have a perfect score. ...

Maxim Magazine Names Top 5 Unsexy Women - Where’s Snaggle?
2007-10-29 12:00:22
In a response to Esquire naming Charlize Theron as the sexiest woman Maxim has put together a list of the 5 “unsexiest” women. While I’m not surprised by any of the ladies included here I’ve gotta stand up and ask, where is Kirsten Snaggletooth Dunst??
Here’s the countdown. Oh the suspense!
5. Britney Spears
4. Madonna
3. Sandra Oh
2. Amy Winehouse
1. Sarah Jessica Parker
Whoa, wait a minute. I thought Amy Winehouse was a guy in drag, like Ru Paul or something. Is Maxim trying to tell me this isn’t some dude dressed up to sell some albums? Other than that, none of them are very surprising though I’d easily replace Sandra Oh with Kirsten Dunst. Sandra Oh isn’t so much “unsexy” as she is just, um, “asexual”. Does that work? Not really, ah well. So what do you think? Any substitutions you’d recommend? Anyone secretly and disturbingly attracted to these dudes ladies?

The Bachelor 11 Week 6: Preview
2007-10-29 10:01:35
Last week was supposed to be the biggest bachelor meltdown ever when Hillary did not receive her rose. She was pretty upset and Brad came out to talk with her. I’m not quite sure it lived up to the hype though. ABC might have been better off not advertising it so hard and let the audience be surprised by it rather than disappointed. Kristy was the other girl to go home. This wasn’t a surprise either since Kristy was probably one of the least fun bachelorettes ever. ABC should have hyped that up instead: The most boring bachelorette ever!
Tonight, Brad goes to visit the home towns of the four remaining girls. Jenni shows Brad her dance moves and he meets her grandma who warns him not to hurt her. In California, Sheena’s Mom is a trip. Brad goes to a Greek family reunion with DeAnna. The visit to Bettina’s family looks to be the best though. They don’t like Brad. Brad and Bettina get into it over her family’s feelings for him. Could this e ...

Dancing With The Stars 5 Week 6 Performance Preview
2007-10-29 09:00:03
The couples had to learn two routines this week. Each couple had to learn their own routine for this week plus tonight is the first of the group dances. The group dance will be a rock and roll number choreographed by Christian Perry. If the performance he and his dancers did on last weeks results show is any indication of the routine the stars will be performing tonight, they will have had to work really hard to master this high energy routine.

24 Season 7 Preview Video - Jack Bauer Is Unstoppable!
2007-10-29 08:00:27
There’s just something about anything 24 related that makes me feel like I need to be SHOUTING and running all over the room. I’m used to running all over the place, but it’s the shouting part that really wears me out. Thankfully Jack Bauer and his miracle cell phone battery are nearly back to TV. The seventh season of the series will return on Sunday, January 13th, just a few weeks after star Kiefer Sutherland will be out of jail (if you believe he’ll serve the full sentence, sure).
Here’s the quick run down on what you’ll need to know for this new season, presented in overly dramatic fashion:
CTU IS GONE
THE NATION IS UNDER ATTACK
JACK BAUER IS ON HIS OWN
And best of all, someone we thought was dead is back, and in a bad, bad way

Yet Another LOST Cast Member Gets DUI: Will A Firing Follow?
2007-10-26 09:00:34
I don’t get it. If you’re an actor/actress making lots of money then maybe, just maybe you could splurge on a driver or even just a cab when you go out drinking. Apparently those ideas don’t carry much weight with the cast of LOST. E! Online is reporting that yet another cast member of the stranded island show has had a DUI bust:
Daniel Dae Kim, who plays Jin-Soo Kwon on the ABC hit [LOST], has become the third castmember to get busted on suspicion of driving under the influence, after being arrested in Honolulu just after 3 a.m. Thursday morning.
Honolulu police confirmed to E! News that the 39-year-old was booked at the downtown station and was released at 5:05 a.m. after posting an unspecified bail.
Details on the bust have so far been as well-guarded as a Lost script, with neither police nor Kim offering details of the alleged DUI, including where it took place, whether any field sobriety tests were conducted and whether Kim was cooperative during the enc ...

Deal Or No Deal Models Want You To Watch Law & Order - Video
2007-10-26 07:00:21
Straight from the Deal Or No Deal Model Theater you’ve got a remake of a Law & Order scene, just with a much more attractive cast this time around. These are pretty clever and funny. Sadly I’ve been seeing more of this show (Deal or No Deal) on Friday nights then I’d like to admit. But after watching the models just stand there and open cases you forget that some of them may also have acting abilities. Well, not all of them as you’ll see in the clip below, but at least they can still look cute while trying.
The clip below is behaving oddly, but just click on its timeline to launch the video.

Heidi Klum & Seal: Love At First Package Sighting
2007-10-25 13:00:06
Hollywood is so romantic. Just the other week we heard how a gambling debt lead to Pam Anderson hooking up with Rick Salomon to pay it off. Now we’ve got Heidi Klum on Oprah explaining that what really drew her to dating Seal was the size of his junk:
“I met him in a hotel lobby in New York City and he came in just from the gym and I was sitting there and I was, like, wow,” Klum tells Oprah Winfrey on her show’s Superstar Couples episode set to air Thursday.
Wow, as in Seal was wearing bicycle shorts.
“And I pretty much saw everything,” says Klum. “The whole package.”
This is exactly why I wear bicycle shorts everywhere. I wear them to the post office, the grocery store, the 80’s, yeah everywhere. I must be doing something wrong though. Either way, I just hope this story will help dispel those nasty rumors going around about how black men are so under-endowed.

Coming Soon: The Mist - Trailer & Details
2007-10-25 12:00:53
Ready for another Stephen King short story adapted into a feature film? Considering how pleased I was with 1408 (read our review) I’m definitely ready to give another one of his movies a try. The short story was really pretty short, so I’m curious to see how much fluff gets added and if it’s really just “fluff” or “good stuff”. The updated trailer (see below) has at least improved the CGI from the original trailer, so that’s good news. Horror movies tend to do better for me when they don’t show the monsters but rather leave that to my imagination. Hopefully their choice to bring monsters out of the mist and into view won’t harm the movie, but we’ll know soon enough. What about you? Ready for another installment of King’s horror?
The Mist - Details:
Release Date: November 21, 2007
Genre: Horror/Suspense
Starring: Thomas Jane, Marcia Gay Harden, Laurie Holden
Director: Frank Darabont
Rating: Not Yet Rated ...

Pushing Daisies References TMBG; Secures Place In My Tivo/Heart
2007-10-25 10:00:13
Just when I thought my fascination with the new ABC romantic dramedy Pushing Daisies couldn’t get any bigger they went and topped themselves last night. Quoting obscure pop culture that I hold in a special place is a surefire way to gain access to said place. Pushing Daisies did just that when they quoted “Birdhouse In Your Soul” by They Might Be Giants from their 1990 album, Flood. While I immediately picked up on this inclusion I wondered how many people would miss the reference to the nearly 18 year old song. Should this song have piqued your interest I highly recommend checking out the entire Flood album from TMBG as the rest of its songs are just a quirky and entertaining.
In case you missed the episode (shame on you) the scene under discussion featured Olive leading Chuck’s aunt Vivian to get over her grief of losing her niece (Vivian doesn’t know Ned brought Chuck back to life) by making a birdhouse in her soul. I was quite tickled to see ...
